Who Hardens People’s Hearts?

A. In Exodus 7: 13; 9:12; 10:1, 20; Rom 9:18, it says God hardened Pharaoh’s heart.
B. In Exodus 8:15 it says Pharaoh hardened his own heart.
C. In Exodus 7:22. The Magicians (people/Satan) hardened Pharaoh’s heart.

Acts 5:3 say “But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?” Satan tried for Jesus to worship him, but he failed (Mt 4: 10). He entered Judas and controlled Judas (Lk 22:3; Jn 13:3,27).

The root in filled /Pleraoo/ is a complete synonym to the word hardened /chazaq/ as both can mean to encourage, to take to the end, to sustain. Thus, both God and Satan can be the occasion for someone's heart to be hardened. However, this will make the bible contradictory as there will be no logic for God to harden someone’s heart and then judge them. So let me give you the explanation.

Despite Moses commanding hail (grains of ice falling from the clouds) by stretching his hand, bringing locusts and darkness over Egypt, dividing the red Sea, all these failed to convince Pharaoh that God was stronger. Instead, he asked “who is the lord God of the Hebrews that I should obey him?’’ It is said in the bible that God hardened his heart.

I will divide these verses into two groups: passive and active voices. In Exodus 7: 13, the word hardened is used in passive voice. The hardened is in active voice. Thus /kabe/ means heavy, pejorative sense means severe, difficult, stupid.

In Exodus 8: 15; 10: 1, “hardened” /kabad/ or /kabed/,means to burden, dull.

In Exodus 10:20; 7:22; 9:12 the word “hardened” means /chazag/ which is equivalent to fastened upon or to courageously catch, cleave, or confirm.

While in Rom. 9: 18 and Acts 19: 4 the word “hardened” means /skleruho/ meaning to return, to give up, go back, to render stubborn.

From the above verses, we see that God doesn’t harden people’s hearts to judge them later. Instead, God’s message is simply the occasion for the individual to harden his/her heart. When Pharaoh or the individual has been refusing to obey, God now lets him/her in that condition. Each time he/she hears that it is from God, he/she turns off the earphones of his/her cassette? Same with the gospel;when preached to people, it is the condition of their hardening of hearts not God who hardens their hearts. Therefore, human beings harden their own hearts (Ps. 95:8; Heb 4:7).

The Iroko Sesekou Maurice Enoh Honors The Almighty’s Invitation.

A few days before Maurice went home, the angels were rejoicing. They said they have been sad for long because naked he came to earth and naked he will soon come back, worst still without his soul. Giving his life to Christ at the eve of his departure was the greatest achievement of his expedition. Angels sounded their trumpets, cymbals and tambourines. Brethren, there was great joy in heaven when he arrived. Would angels dance when you too will be leaving this earth?

As sesekou Maurice was preparing his trip, cancer came to help him take away the entire unnecessary luggage he carried here on earth and facilitated his flight for the sumptuous party with the Almighty. The things that he had acquired like wealth had rejected him so much so that he was now acquainted with their absence thereof. He was bruised, stricken and afflicted by cancer, but he spoke like one who knew where he was going to. His body was put down, but his spirit was not put out. That is why he left his body here with us to attend God’s party.

While Sesekou Maurice Enoh was tormented with cancer, you fasted and spent sleepless nights for God to let him spend more time with you, but God almighty refused to hearken to your pleas. Therefore, if you are to cry, cry for yourselves and your children for the Iroko is in a better place. My friends, there he does no more worry to pay bills. He does no more spend sleepless nights just to put food on the table for himself and his family. All he can say now is that the kindness you extended to him and would have shown him, please take care of his wife and children. You all know he fought for peace; therefore, please you too strife to continue that legacy.

Who could have believed that The Iroko will be invited by God that early? He grew as a friendly and jovial person. He fought battles of unity and against evil. He fought the good fight of peace; consequently, God invited him home to spend time with Him.

Now is no more the time to weep. Clean yourself, dress beautifully, go to his wake, dance and worship God for giving him that opportunity. Notwithstanding, as you eat and rejoice remember he will no more come to you, you will have to go to him if you surrender your lives to Christ as he did. That was his invitation card to that feast.

Oh my people, heaven is better than earth! The felicity in heaven is incontestable, therefore, whatever you do remember your day is coming. When you get invited, whose party will you attend: the Devil’s or God’s? The Iroko will adjure you to select the way of peace so that we will meet again.

My Wrongful Arrest.

updates. The case was dismissed on the 12/19/2011, and I am now embarked on clearing it off my record.

Ladies and gentlemen,

It has come to my attention via the phone calls and postings in Cameroonian forums that my mugshot is on the internet. For those of you who felt betrayed and disappointed, I will plead with you to hold your fire. First and foremost, being arrested does not translate to guilt. In addition, even if convicted does not in all cases mean guilt still as we have seen many people wrongfully convicted.

For those who are quick to call around, write in forums and sing songs on how I have been arrested should know that I feel very disappointed that my name has been dragged in mud, but I attach no much value to their behavior as being dignified.

Notwithstanding, I was wrongfully arrested . The warrant did not have my name on it. It was a bench warrant for

Africans Are Still Afflicting Widows.

In the book of Exodus, God gives this edict to the Israelites “Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.” While this was a direct prohibition given to Israelites, the concept is still valid to every society and culture with any modicum of morality. Hellas, as you travel around Africa, you see that widows are still being maltreated. One would think that with traveling overseas, Africans will be wiser, but they seem to carry the same old backward and wicked treatment of widows abroad. I will lay the foundation of this lesson with an anecdote. A young man just died in Georgia. During his wake, friends and families gathered and were raising money. The coordinators insisted that the mother of the defunct should be the one to stand in the middle to receive the “farotage” (braggadocio-donations). One of them even said this is “because we believe the mother is the better person to take care of the kids.” All of this with the young wife sitting right there. I cringe in my spirit and flashbacks cinematographically reminded me of the past.

That statement is not only educationally ignorant in itself, legally out of place but also socially inconsiderate. It is ignorant because every mother has strong ties and feelings for their child. We know there are exceptions, but in general, every mother will feel for their child. And this young woman is no different! Secondly, they lived together up to having kids. That qualifies her for Common Law Marriage although not in Georgia since Georgia stopped recognizing it in 1997. However, the community knew him as having a wife or concubine. While she may not have borne his last name, or they might not have filed taxes, one thing is clear that everyone in the community knew and knows that that is his “woman”. That alone should qualify her the Putative Spouse Status because surely she knew she was in a marriage in all Uberrima fides even if the paperwork is not there to show. For those of us with sisters, who will want their sister to sit there during the wake keeping for the late husband, and people are making comments that she will be unfit to keep the kids? It is wrong to stand up in a podium to make disparaging remarks to someone’s daughter or sister who has lost the husband.

Why is it that each time someone dies, the family must come in for possession when the man has kids? Many at times those who are bequeathed with the dead man’s wealth end up abandoning the kids who at times become pariahs. In some tribes in the Northwest Province of Cameroon, the cousins inherit the property of the man. They will inherit the property and if the man had houses, they will even chase out the widow and her kids to fend in wonderland. If you do not have mercy, at least you should be afraid of God.

Consequently, I will take you to the Bible to see how widows need to be treated. The Bible says the society should not afflict widows and orphans. Disappropriating them is afflicting them. When you call into question their motherhood for no just cause, is another form of afflicting them. When you seize their ability to speak, that is afflicting them. A widow is a widow no matter her age. That young woman is a widow and should be treated with the status of a widow.

In James 1:27, the Apostle Paul tells James this : “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” Treating whoever badly whether in public or private is no true religion and that is not what God wants. God is not asking for sacrifices for obedience is better than sacrifice (I Sam 15:22), but He is asking for justice, mercy and humility (Micah 6:6-8).

Therefore, when a husband dies, leave the woman alone with what the husband or man left with her. Whether she has kids or not, she has the right to his property! I am conscious there are “Happy Widows” (those who kill their husbands to inherit property), but not in a clear case as that of the husband dying without the hand of the woman. When someone dies, uncles and aunts or at times parents who did not even care for the child show up to fight for property. That must have an end. Protect these women rather than denigrate them. Do unto others what you want them do unto you. If you have a sister or a mother, treat other people’s sisters and mothers badly and the same measure will be meted to you one day. If you escape the judgment of humans, it is certain you will face God to give an account of your acts on earth.

Until then, Africans must learn to protect the widows.

Are You Borrowing To Offer Gifts To People?

In 2010, a friend of mine asked me to carry her sister in-law from Atlanta to DC, Maryland. When we reached town, she told me that she wanted me to drop her in her boyfriend’s house. He gave her the wrong address, so we kept driving and driving in circles. I saw a police officer and wanted to ask, but she discouraged the idea. So we kept driving and driving for an hour as she argued with her boyfriend on the phone. A a certain time, he hung up and will no more pick up the phone. I got a bit angry and parked by the road side. I finally flaged the police who told us that the address was a wrong address. I told her that I was not going to be driving for more than one hour looking for her boyfriend’s house. She said “I don’t know why he is not picking up the phone.” I felt sorry for her. Furthermore, I had sold her some jeans for more than $200, so I felt like, if we do not see the guy, she may give back my goods. So it was in my vested interest to find that boyfriend of hers wherever he was hidding. So I said “leave him a message and tell him some of the things you have bought for him, and he will call you back.” She did and immediately he called us back and gave us the right address. Hers was at least better, for she had the money. What about you?

Some people indebt themselves to offer gifts to people who do not even care about them. Some take their families and friends to eat out on credit. Today I want to examine the morality behind indebting one’s self to offer gifts during holidays. Sometimes it hurts me to pick up a phone call and a Christian tells me that she has a list of 22 people she wants to offer gifts to and would like to know how many I want to sponsor. Another one said that he wants to offer gifts to his nephew and niece but does not have money. I asked him if the kids have kidnapped him? He said no. So I said, "bro keep your flesh checked, for you will be ok without the gifts." I have made it as a principle in my life not to buy if I don't have money. If I don't have money, I don't eat out. I was called to mediate between two friends for unpaid debts. One of them said, "pastor, when I took the money, I even bought him a gift for his birthday. Did I do anything bad brother?" He asked me.

It is unchristian to have Christians as criminal debtors; those debtors who know they are unable to pay a debt, yet they still get into it. If someone owes a student loan or some car note, one will understand, but this credit card thing, I just don't get it, especially unpaid. Many people have bad credit because of unpaid debts. Talk less of those who owe every relative and friend, dead and alive. I have never used a credit card, but I am still alive and well. If people are not comfortable with you because you do not give them gifts, so be it; let them disown you. The day you suffocate, they will know that those who are rejected suffocate.

Why do people eat out when they have not paid their light bills? Why should anyone be giving gifts to others when he/she owes rents? Why are you buying gifts for people when you have a huge student loan. Many Christians have bad credit because of unpaid debts. Why does a Christian eat out when the/she has not paid his/her light bill? Why should anyone be giving gifts to others when they are indebting themselves? Some owe almost all their friends and even enemies. Others have fallen out with best friends and relatives because of unpaid debts which they actually took to offer them gifts.

I was a teenager in Douala in quartier Nkoulouloun where I grew up. A Bangante man died, people came to the wake, but there was one particular guy who was crying more than even the widow. So he quickly gained sympathy and attention. The more people looked at him, the more he cried. So one naughty teenager said,"toi aussi, tu pleures même plus que la famille et la femme.” He turned and looked at the young man, then suddenly turned his face towards the corpse on the bier, and he cried again “Alphonse, pourquoi est-tu parti avec mon l’argent?” Then another person too just shrieked. Two others on the far end screeched. It was then that we realized Alphonse was in a Tontin -Njangi , and he had already eaten. All of a sudden, the family had to remove the widow from the place for fear the creditors harassed the widow to pay the debts. The many who cried him hard, did not cry because they loved him, but because he owed them money. Since there was no contract signed that he owed them, it is unlikely that his family will cover such debts, and these friends could not just sit and see him leave with their money.

My friends, irresponsibility is in various forms, and borrowing money to offer gifts during Christmas and New Year is one of them. I do not see why people make themselves criminal debtors just because of pride. There are many people that when they will die, people will not cry them because of the love they had for them but because they have gone with their money.

If you do not have money and must use credit card, get the food and cook at home and entertain your family. It will be much more cheaper and responsible. As if some are possessed, they will take the little money they have to buy gifts for people and three months after Christmas and New year, they will be living in darkness.

A gift is from what you have. If you do not have, do not give. I don’t mean the other extreme of never ever having.

Until then, do not give gifts if you have to indebt yourself.

He Committed Suicide Because His Girlfriend Rejected Him.

This article is in response to the young Ghanaian rapper from Tema called Gabe Small who committed suicide because his girlfriend dumped him. Through this article, I want to encourage the young people especially the young boys who are rejected everyday by women they like. Are there flops in your menu that make you want to miss out some courses? Rosalind Russell once said "Flops are a part of life's menu and I've never been a girl to miss out on any of the courses." Many people go out to witness, but when their intended target rejects them, they get angry or stick around because they cannot fathom being rejected. Many men get rejected in life by women before they die. The men who are never rejected are those who never actually speak or spoke to women. If they did, one or two will reject them.

Women are seldom rejected, but each time they have been rejected, there was nothing like their fury. Two classic examples are Lady Potiphar who was rejected by Joseph, and Tamar who was rejected by Judah. Nonetheless, everyone is rejected at some point in life, but the difference is at the level of reception and reaction. How should you react when rejected by a love interest.

For some, I will say smack the dust off you feet and go you way, for they do not even merit your love. If a woman wants you, she will give you no reason. If you live in a hole, she will follow you into that hole and if you live in the sky, she will fly with you. But if she does not want you, she will give you 101 reasons and will tell you how you speak like Mickey Mouse. For others, give a little bit of patience knowing that it takes some people time to make up their minds.

However, if someone does not show you interest, leave them alone. Don’t kill yourself because someone rejected you, for you have only one life; meanwhile, you can find their replacement in life. Everyone in life will be rejected at some point in time. Not everyone is married to the person they truly love and though they did not marry the person they truly loved, they are still very happy. Stay patient because some day their replacement will come. If you die, you will never live to see their replacement and prove to them that they made a bad choice. You need to stay alive to show them that despite them, you are happy and perhaps they are not. I say stay alive and not die.

Writers are aware of how publishers rejected them. E.E Cummings’ manuscript was rejected 15 times before it was published by his mother. If I close this exordium without alluding to the master of rejection: Jesus Christ, then I have failed in my purpose. The prophet Isaiah in chapter 53:3 wrote “He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.”

Therefore, stay alive for in life in general, it is not everyone who will like you or accept you. It is not everyone who will believe in you, and it is not everyone who will follow you in what you do. Why keep any love that is like a dove in the cage when it is future heartbreak? No matter what you do to it, it will fly away if you open the cage. True love should be like the flesh of your flesh and bone of you bones; it is going no where, no matter how much flesh and how many other ribs are out there. Once more, I encourage you to rise above your rejection and stay alive. If you are running after the person you love for five miles and he/she does not seem to wait for you , give up, for you may be chasing the wind. Do not run after a woman as if she does not see you because if she wanted you, she will run after you too even if you were in a hole. Ask God for the key of life, and you will live in abundant life.

Why Don’t You Have friends?

Introduction:

You will hear about best fiends, friends with benefits, frenemy, and friends. Many people are turning to animals now as friends than human being. They contend that they cannot find true friends amongst humans. The only problem with this thought is that an animal will always be an animal. An animal will never become a human being no matter how tamed and trained they are. Others believe that it is preferably to stay without a friend than to have one. With the vulgarity of Facebook rubric friends, it is now out of the ordinary for people to have total strangers as friends. Some of them have never ever spoken to them, never speak to them and will never ever speak to those people on their page whom they call friends. In this lesson, I will define the word friend, show its mechanics and dynamics and then lay a blueprint in building and having real and trustworthy friends.

Definition.

The word friend is used five different ways. In Genesis 38: 12,20, it is used as companion. In this context, it is a traveler who accompanies you for an expedition. Judah had Hirah- his friend (companion). The second meaning is that of an associate (Judges 20:20). What we generally call acquaintances. This is what many of those on Facebook are called. The third example is the one used by the psalmist (41:9). This is the type of friendship where people hang around you for gain as was the case between David and Absalom (the son). He did not like his father, but hung around him to inherit the throne. These are the type of parasite friends. I am sure you know some people like that. There is another type of friendship where you love someone serving as a servant to another. Like God and Abraham (Is 41:8 ). There is another type of friendship which the two are mates, bonded together, like partners and do everything (Mt 11:19). This is the type of friendship that when someone is walking or working with his/her friend, he or she does not need to watch over their backs. A clear example was Jonathan and David. They eat, drink and share many other things in common. Another form of friendship is when you meet a stranger, you call them friend just to make them feel welcome. That is what you see in Mt 20:13, Mt 22:12. A last type of friendship is the one with benefits (Acts 12:20 ). This is the type that you win someone by your side for a particular purpose. It is a self serving friendship. It is like a symbiotic relationship. They know what you want, and you know what they want.

Characteristics of good friendship.

A. Honest and frank Communication (Ex 33:11). Good friends say things face to face. They do not speak behind the backs of their friends. I always told my friend that whenever you hear anything about me, do not give your opinion, wait until you hear my version. That way they do not lure you into making regrettable comments because you were not privy to full disclosure. Good friends do not slander one another and do not gossip each other,. They do not store things in their hearts. They speak honestly and frankly to their friends. Good friend give you good advice (Prov 27:9). If a woman is dating a man or vice verse and all that comes out of the mouth of their friend is evil, they should know that they have an enemy in the house. Good friends do not speak falsehood to one another, and they do not flatter each other because underneath their friendship is trust. They have one heart.

B. Natural bonding (Deuteronomy 13:6). A good friend feels bonded together. You feel like you are one. You can even think in each other’s place if your friend was not home and they ask his opinion, you can virtually tell them what he will say if he came back. That was the type of friendship that existed between Jonathan and David. A good friend will trust you. They at least know some things you can do and others that you cannot do.

C. Feel your plight (Job 6:14, 27;Ps 35:14). Good friends should be able to sympathize with you when calamity strikes than rejoice you are hurting. If you are hurting, your true friends hurt with you. True friends do not dig pits for their friends, talk less of killing them. A good friend is someone you can go to at midnight to ask for help, and if they have, they will give you. They are people you can call at anytime of the day without them reminding you the time of the day. They are people who can accompany you when need be. I remember a young woman who lost her father, and her boyfriend could not follow her because he had to watch his favorite team play their playoff game. Or the one who goes on vacation when your friend has a criminal court date coming up. A true friend will prevent you from driving while drunk. A true friend will cater for your family while you are faced with a calamity. A true friend does not scam you, for he or she knows that what wearies you, wearies them and that which makes you sad, makes them sad too.

D. Unfailing love (Prov 17:17). A true friend loves you at all times no matter your condition. When a friend is facing adversity, his true friend goes with them (Ruth 1: 16). Anyone with too many friends will come to utter destruction (Prov 18:24). Therefore, people should select one or two best friends to keep. I mean the type of friend that even sticks closer than some brothers or sisters. A good friend will correct you when you are going wrong rather than flatter you. All those people who never tell you the truth are not good friends; they are actually your enemies. Good friends make you to strive towards perfection. A good friend does not betray you, not for 30 pieces of silver. When Ginger White revealed she has had a 13 year affair with Herman Cain yesterday of adultery, he responded that “"It is someone that I know who is an acquaintance that I thought was a friend." What Ginger White did is not what a true friend does; those are traits of Judas Iscariot.

E. Gives You Honor. A real friend honors you; he or she does not put you down. He does not put you down in public and then calls you behind that he was just trying to make some people happy. Or the worst one is for some of the people who refuse to identify themselves with their boyfriends or girlfriends in public for fear of what family or friends will say. Good friends try to bring out the good life in each other. They do not pray for them to die, rather they make them happy, so they can live long. A true friend will never sleep with your husband or wife.

Pointers to consider in Selecting friends.
Therefore, there are a few pointers to guide you select your friends or maintain the friendship. Good friends do not forsake each other. When you do not see a good friend, you search for him. If you do not hear from them, you call them. Unlike many who say someone is their friend, but they do not even know them or know where they live. They do not know even their family or how it is made up. They do not even know where or how their ffriend's family lives. Do not trust those who are crafty and slanderous because what happens in the house of the crocodile will happen in the house of the alligator. Do not select friends based on their social status. It has been shown that those at the lower stratum of the society are more faithful than those at the top.

Conclusion.
However, real friendship should be one of mutualism and not symbiotic or parasitic. A good friend does not like what you hate. For example, if your friend dumps a lady, you cannot date the same lady. If your friend is a Christian, you cannot be dabbling with Satanism. Such a friendship is diametrically opposed and will not last. It is not even a healthy friendship since friends should be of one mind.

Notwithstanding, no matter what type of earthly friends we have, sometime in life, they will fail us, or time and again, they will fail us because they are humans. There is only one Person that will never fail you if you make them your friend. That is God! Through Jesus Christ we have a friend who knows our chagrins and caters for our cares. He is a Friend that will go a mile when others cannot go a foot. If you have never tried walking with God, I urge you to do so, and you will find Him an always present and never failing Friend.

Where Are All God’s Watchmen and Watchwomen?

Are there still watchmen and watchwomen? Why is the destruction of the family so high? How come people are so alienated from God, addicted to technology, environmentally destructive? Can we explain the invasion of individualism and subsequent loss of community life? Why are there too many slaves to debts and consumerism? The rich ruling the masses ? How come the neglect of children and maltreatment of women and men more common nowadays? Where are the watchmen and watchwomen when the media that was the source of truth now is the corrupt box of lies? Why does this seem the age where there is total neglect of the old and sick? The watchman was to look out against danger, foreign invaders. He was to spy, observe and watch at the city. As the watchmen were never to keep silent about impending danger, those that have been called by the lord to denounce evil and bring people to Christ cannot be silent (Isaiah:62:6-7). The task of the watchman and women nowadays.

So let me ask you this as a Christian who have you warned since you became a Christian. Do you know an adulterer and yet you have stayed mum? Do you know those who are openly living in sin, but you believe that is their lifestyle or alternative lifestyle? Do you know a known drug dealer or anyone who is doing drugs but you have decided to keep quiet because it is not your business? What about the scammer you hangout with? If that person dies, God will hold you accountable. Do you know a preacher who is pilfering from the church and the rich who are stealing from the poor, yet you think it is their problem and not yours? Do you have a father or mother who is a racist, but you refuse to warn them because you think how they want to live their lives is not your business? Hear me and hear me well; God holds you responsible if you know it but do not warn them. Perhaps, this is only the Old Testament. So what does the New Testament say about it too?

There are several passages in the Bible where the Bible is commissioned to preach the gospel to every creature (Mt 28:18-20), but the reaction to the gospel and the reaction of the preachers is what I will discuss here. I will start with the commission to Ezekiel. God tells him to act as a sentinel, warn both the wicked and the righteous. If the wicked abandons his wicked ways and returns unto the Lord, he will be saved, but if he does not, when he dies, his blood will be in his own hands. However, if the sentinel (Ezekiel) does not warn him, when he dies, God will hold Ezekiel responsible. Why was he to warn the righteous too? If verse 24 establishes this “But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. ” So the assignment here is very precise. Preach and warn the wayward of their waywardness. Whatever they do with that warning is their problem and not yours; you have fulfilled your responsibility. You can hear God through the mouth of Jeremiah rebuking the Isrealites that “Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein (Jeremiah:6:16 ).”

The first person to overtly repeat such a stand was Jesus. Although John The Baptist practiced it, but he did not preach it. John preached to those who wanted to listen and left those who did not. He even packed and went into the desert to live so that only those who wanted to really listen to him heard him. Simply because you warn people of their evil does not mean they will listen. However, when Jesus came, the story was different. He established three basic truths about the watchman. When you go out to preach, live with someone you know and don’t change houses. Preach to those who want to listen and those who do not , leave them alone and go your way. God will take it from there for you have fulfilled your responsibility (Mt 10:14; Mk 6:11; Lk 9:5). In addition, although the watchman in the Old Testament watch by standing and sounding the trumpet, the one in the new Testament prayed and spoke to those concerned. Jesus himself went to the desert every morning to pray before it was dawn (Mk 1:35) so he can be spiritually charged with God’s anointing to warn the Pharisees, Sadducees and Romans. He tells the people to watch and pray so that they can escape the dangers (Lk 21:36).

Jesus then made women watch women too. It is not only men who should watch over the society, but women too must watch. That is why we have watchwomen. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. The status of watchman was extended to women with his death on the Christ of Calvary because all were now baptized by one spirit into one body as we all become the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus (Gal 3:28 , I Cor 12:13, Col 3:11,Gal 3:26, Gal 5:6, 24, Philippians 1:1).

Paul was a great preacher we all know. He sums up some of the places that rejected him as a watchman but reinforces that the rejection of man is not that of God as God delivered him from them all (2 Tim 3:11). When he went to Antioch where Jesus’ followers were called Christians for the first time, he preached and many believed. But later, he was rejected, and he shook off the dust of their feet against them and went to Iconium(Acts 13:51). Take the warning to those who want to hear watchman!

Then he went to Macedonia. When they opposed him, he shook his raiment and placed their own blood unto their heads (Acts 18:6). Then he left again and went back to the same Iconium where he has been rejected the first time. This time, after preaching, a great multitude of both Jews and Greeks believed (Acts 14:1). Then when they were rejected the second time, they went to Lystrai, Iconium, and Antioch (Acts 14:1, 19, 21).

Therefore, watchmen and watchwomen must rise up and be counted. Many dress like pastors, but they are fake, actually hirelings siphoning their wealth into their bank accounts. Why have churches increased, yet sin has super increased rather than the opposite. Where are the watchmen and women to warn the victims killed daily by murderers? Where are they? God has made you a watchman and watchwoman. Are you in your post? Are you warning the sinners of the dangers of their sins? Even some watchmen and watchwomen have been taken unawares. Are you taking heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood?

Can A Living Person Be Called A Saint?

The word saint has been misused. The word saint appears in the bible only three times: Ps 106:16; Dan 8:13; Philippians 4:2, and in all three occasions, it referred to a living person. The Psalmist and Daniel use it to qualify Aaron as a holy person, some one “set apart“. Paul uses it to refer to the Philippians as the most “holy thing”; people set apart for the Lord. The word in its plural form is used 96 times and in every occasion is used for the living as you can see in I Cor 1:2.

It is but logical for the title to be used on the living as the dead can no more be set apart. The living are set apart for holiness. That is why when anyone says they are Christians, they are required to live a holy life. They may not be perfect, but they must strive to holiness and do not condone sin as a lifestyle.

Since the word saint simply means set apart, God calls sinners unto repentance and sets them apart for holiness and righteous living. From the etymology, one does not need to be called a saint for them to assume the title of a saint; it comes by virtue of the fact that they have been “set apart” for the Lord. The only danger is that canonizing a living person as a saint could become a subject of raillery if he or she goes astray.

Sainthood began in the early church where the martyrs were canonized for their righteous and sacrificial lives that led to their death. It was an attempt to recognize their endeavors in Christendom. It was a tradition but not a biblical recommendation. That tradition after some time deviated from honoring and calling the living saints unto honoring only the dead with the blessings of the Catholic Church.

It is actually chronicled that the living were called saints. In Acts 9: 41, the bible in reference to Peter’s resurrection of Tabitha from death says “ And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.” How do you call the dead and widows to present them something or somebody if they are not alive and present? Neither the word saint nor present is used as an apostrophe.

This practice has become rampant and is limited to the dead only. However, the Catholics argue that it is important to canonize some as a saint only when they are dead so that they are not worshiped and also because it gives the committee time to study his works and make a final decision. If you look at why people are canonized as saints by the Catholics, it because of their impact in Christianity.

Therefore, without equivocation, every genuine Christian is a saint. It is now incumbent upon them to live by their nomenclature. If every Christian was a genuine believer, he or she should be called a saint. Saints were not governors or demigods to be worshiped. There is no indication by inference or example where a saint was worshiped or ordered to be worshiped. Not even in the Catholic Church were saints worshiped. The practice today could be deviating to that, but Catholic scholars have often vehemently contended that they do not worship saints as that will be idolatry which is a breach of the First and Second commandments.

As a result, there is no lacuna with that thought as those who are called Christians and who live the life of Christ are worthy to be called saints whether they live or die. That is why I prefer to be recognized while alive as Saint Arrey of Ntenako.

Consequently, if anyone calls herself or himself a saint, she or he must live by the dictates of a saint. That means, they must live like someone who is set apart. I am called Saint Arrey. I was called like that in Yaoundé, by the students who lived with me and saw my lifestyle. So you may be doing yourself and myself a disservice if you do not call me saint (a man set apart) and have to wait for me to die before you call me saint.

There is no indication in the Bible that all holy men or saints should only be in heaven. Heaven is their final destination or abode, but they prep their way while on earth. If one is called a saint by virtue of their salvation which was given to them by Christ, and by their persistence and abiding in the faith, there is no doubt that while on the trump of God the dead in Christ shall rise first, we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds.

Until then, if the living be called saints, they must live like saints.

American Men Do Not Know How TO Treat Their Women.

While this is too much generalization, but the majority of American men do not know how to treat their women. Most of their women have never really experienced proper good treatment where a man makes you feel like you are the oasis of his whole desert, or when a man makes you feel like all the other women he sees outside are dung. That is probably why when their women venture out of the country and see the treatment foreign men give them outside, they get confused. If you go to Europe, they believe that American women are easy, very easy even because the women who travel out cannot resist such regal treatment. In America ,when you treat women too good like a man should treat a lady, they get confused and run away because they think you are faking. They don‘t believe it will be the same; they even think you are a wolf in sheep clothing. Take for instance; when an American man takes a woman out for a date today, he pays for the expenses, and when they go out the next time, she pays for the expenses. Who is that foreign man that will even do souch a criminal act? To make a conclusion, I will compare a traditional African man with a traditional American man. Would you want to know why I think American men do not know how to treat their women?

When an American woman meets a foreign man, she is treated like a queen or princess even though most don’t even know how the monarchs are treated. I don’t mean when some obese and overweight American woman entraps a foreign guy who is merely using her for expediency to get papers which once he gets them, he starts to maltreat her or even vamoose into the oblivion. He will treat her badly so that she will divorce him, and he will go his way. That is not what I am talking about. I am talking about normal foreign men and normal American women.

Communication is very important in human life, but most of their men are so ignorant that they quickly go out of words. That is why their normal conversations with a woman do not go more than 3 minutes without it turning to sex. See, even their songs too are just 4 minutes long even when they are singing about love. If they do not talk sex, they curse -f..k. I worked with two guys one time, a stepdad and a stepson. The stepson says "you know that bitch Ron is married to is my mom." The stepdad says, "you got that right. His own bitch does not give him problems like mine." The son calls the mother bitch and the husband calls the wife bitch. What type of people are these?

The guys must learn to keep the woman up too with their discourse. It is not every time that the woman wants to hear about sex; not even the nymphomaniacs. They will run away and then go to the guy that comes in their normal behavior. Perhaps the only good thing some of these men have is a good body. Having a good body is good but without a good character, it is body mass.

Although in traditional African society, the men and women were complimentary in roles and responsibilities, a good man who knew how to treat a lady did not allow her to do the heavy duties in and around the house. Men are there to make their women feel special everyday. Consequently, the man went to the farm and cleared the forest. The kitchen had simple stuffs and so the man was out in the forest hunting for game for the woman to come and prepare. In America, the woman is doing the dishes and ironing clothes, while the man is playing video games and watching football. A man killed his infant son for bothering him during his video game. At times it is even the woman who takes out the thrash, vacuums the house, and clears the yard with the lawnmower; responsibilities that a man should joyfully do. If a woman was not married, her brothers or male friends cut her grass for her, but no reasonable man saw a woman struggling to cut her grass and he passed. So if your sister is not married, go and cut her grass for her as a brother or friend.

Have you seen an American man and his wife at the grocery store? Pathetic and pitiful. The man is pushing the cart in the market or grocery store while the woman is carrying their baby. Which is heavier and more difficult? Pushing a cart or trying to keep the restless child? The American men allow the women to be struggling with the child while they are pushing the cart and strolling in the supermarket looking at other women. Why shouldn’t they do that? He has no weight. If he had a baby in his hand, he will not be looking around and winking at other women while at the store.

One time I saw a couple broken down on the highway. The woman was pushing the car while the man was sitting in the car. Lord have mercy! That is the opposite guys. I told him to step outside and let the woman sit inside while we pushed the car. If you are a weakling, call people to come and help you, but for God’s sake don’t allow your wife to push the car while you are sitting in the car.

In traditional African society, the woman was the main organizer. The women taught morals and the men taught strength, brute strength. Both the men and women were the teachers but at different levels. The men taught on how to provide and the women taught on how to organize what has been provided and to convert it to greater proportions. In traditional African society, the women were respected and treated with much respect because they believed that they were closer to God than the men. They were considered goddesses. That is why there were goddesses of fertility, rain, and harvest.

Despite the complimentarityy of roles and responsibilities, the head of the family had always been the man. Failure to follow that has plunged the American marriages into chaos, and divorces have rocked their world. Being the head of household does not mean autocracy, for no good leader rules alone. Decisions came by consensus. The reason why marriages between Africans and Africans are falling apart in an alarming rate is because most of their women have not been able to reconcile the American culture with the traditional African society they come from. That is why mixed marriages between the Africans and Americans are faring better than marriages between African and Africans.

Furthermore, American men are not easily satisfied. That is why they have these strip clubs and toys all over the place. Once a woman gains a little weight like this, it is a big problem. More women are in the gym, but their men are at home writing letters on the internet to Russia for Mail Order Bride. Obese and overweight men trying to marry Russian models. Ichabod!

The absence of good dads is destroying American families and creating a marriagequake. To be a good dad neither means you should get him a prostitute to check him out if you suspect he is gay nor does it mean you should carry your children to night clubs and make them sleep on clubs chairs because you want the kids to always be with you. That amounts to abuse and irresponsible parenting. Nowadays many women stall with the idea of having kids because they do not want to be single moms or to raise the kids by themselves. Most fear that if they had a child with an irresponsible man, they may end up raising the child by themselves. Therefore, their greatest worry is if the guy they know will be a good dad. While we can reemphasize Duncan’s maxim that “There’s no art to find the mind’s construction in the face (Macbeth, Act 1, Scene 4),” we can still predict certain behavioral patterns that foreshadow a premonition. The truth is that you can know a good dad. Make a list and the next time you find another pretender, crosscheck all those points. If he passes, he will never fail you.

It starts with the woman’s choice of a man. Once you have made a better choice, you do not need to worry, for a good man will increase your joy and that of your kids. Women have always gone for the man they like most or they think will be their Mr. Right and not usually the one who is ready to die for them. In most cases, the ones that are ready to die for them usually do not fit the hot society perfect image of an ideal man . Never date a man you love most; date a man who loves you most. The one who loves you most sacrifices for you, but the one you love most will not show sacrificial love because he will take your love for granted.

A man who does not know how to provide for his own; no matter how small it is cannot be a good dad (I Tim 5:8). A man who has not gotten his acts together cannot be a good dad. I do not mean when a man loses his job, and the woman leaves him. What if he picked up a job the next day? I know that some men think that by buying everything for their child is love. It is not! It is just one sign. However, a man must first start by showing the volition and ability to care for himself and later for his child.

Anyone can know a good man. A man who is always outside; as if there are thorns in his house cannot be a good dad. You need first to be home to nurture the kid. Isn’t it so? One that will be a good dad is always available when she needs him and when she feels threatened with life uncertainties. He is the always present and ever ready shoulder she can cry on when life makes her cry. He must show sacrificial love for the mother.

If a man does not love his wife, how is he going to be a great dad? He must first love the wife like Christ loved the church and gave himself for it (Eph 5:25). You know a good dad who will try to help his lover without she asking for help. A great dad does not wait for you to tell him to check how your car is driving; he can hear it because he checks it. It is the same concern he will have because he has to make sure the car carrying his child is safe. Yes, you know a good dad how he shows concern for his mother, sisters and other women.

Does he try to play with the kids when you visit places with him? If a man does not like kids, he will not be a great dad anyway. Shouldn’t that be enough presentiment?

Finally, and not the least, you know a great dad because he listens. Children like to tell stories and meaningless ones too. You need to be a great dad to listen to them and make them feel good. If a man is not a good listener, he will not listen to his child too. I do not mean an ignoramus who has nothing to say and is afraid to expose his stupidity. A man that when you are talking to him, but he is watching a game or playing video game will not be a good dad. A man who does not find time to spend with his wife, go on hiking, do exercises together, run, make errands together, will not be a great dad.

Now make a list and the next time you find another pretender, crosscheck all those points. If he passes, he will never fail you. If he fails you, call me and I will tear my Bible forever. So, next time if you find yourself having a child with a useless father, you should blame yourself for not heeding to advice.

I have heard this question several times and each time people ask me, I get confused because the experiences have ended differently with or for different people. Straight forward I will tell you that I do not have an answer. One common mistake some men have done is to get angry and insult the woman if she rejects them. Disregard her craziness and let time work its magic. One day, one day, you will receive that elusive call or mail asking you where you are now. If she is yours, one day, like a strayed dog, she will walk back home where she belongs. Notwithstanding, I will narrate to you real life anecdotes and hope that you prayerfully draw your own conclusion from them. Love is abstract, so it works differently for and with different people when it is being converted to concrete terms. The man can even go the length of the guy in the video above.

I used to know a young man called Paul. He loved a girl called Deborah, but she did not love him. She instead loved another Jose. Jose went to Mexico to seek greener pastures and Deborah was left back in Cameroon. After some time, many other young men approached Deborah for love and marriage, but she turned them all down. Paul got married to another girl and continued his life and started building a family. Age was now striking all of them. Jose got married to another girl while in Mexico. When Deborah heard it, she almost killed herself and went into serious depression. She has been waiting for more than 4 years only for the man to marry another woman. Life did not end there. After some time, Paul divorced his wife and went and married Deborah. Today, they are happily married. He said that even though he was married, he knew that Deborah was his wife although Deborah was running after another boy who was even married too. It was adjust a matter of time and opportunity. It took more than 10 years for him to marry (Deborah ) the woman he had originally wanted to marry. Isn’t ten years too long to run after a girl?

There was a gentleman who loved a girl, but she did not have the same feelings for him too. He wrote her several letters but she would not reply. Then she got married to a guy and had a child. Two years after, the marriage kaput. Immediately after her defunct marriage, she went into one of the mails he had written her, she pulled his contacts and wrote him back asking if he was still single. She was shocked to hear that the guy was still waiting for her. They made arrangements and began dating. Two months after, they got married. They have been married now for more than 29 years. Was it fair for the guy to have waited that long? It would seem it was.

There was an African who loved an American girl from Idaho. He wrote the girl almost every day. He loved the girl with all his heart and would give his life for the girl. No matter how he wrote the girl, she would not reply. Then one day he told one of his friends about his misery. The friend said he has a letter he always writes to ladies, and they never resist. The African guy borrowed the letter, changed the particulars, and sent it to the girl. When the lady received the letter, she instead insulted him. One year passed, but he kept running after the girl. One day he met another American who told him how he ran for 4 years after his current wife with whom they have now been married for 17 years. He asked him if he could conceive a letter for him like the one he wooed his wife. He told him that he had the letter with him that he has kept as a relic and time and again sends it by mail to his wife. The African sent it to his target. When the girl received the email, her boyfriend replied to the African that it was not the girl replying, it was her boyfriend and that she already has a boyfriend. Should the African guy continue writing and running after this girl?

Some stories sound like fairytales while others sound like elegies. Such are different scenarios and different people producing different results. Biblically, there is just no pattern on how or how long a man should pursue a girl. What we easily see is men who did sacrificial acts to court their ladies, but the Bible does not show a man running after a woman. What can please one woman may not be the same thing that will win the other woman. It would seem there is a little bit of luck and grace or like the bible puts it “ time and chance happened to them all (Eccl9:11).” If your mind tells you to continue pursuing the girl, then do so, but if your mind tells you to stop, then follow your mind too. She is not the only girl out there; a person does not make you happy. Paulina was born in Oregon and grew up in Oregon. She had never gone out of the country. When she was going to Washington, she told people she was going out of the country. Finally, the neighborhood saw her with a guy she introduced as her boyfriend. He was a musician and the envy of all young girls in the neighborhood. Notwithstanding, she was still not fulfilled.

Why was she always sad within when she had the envy of most women: old and young? She had the beauty, she had the career, and she now has a companion. The truth about it is that she knew very well that the boyfriend did not have commitment as a principle and objective in life, but that was the type that made her look very fulfilled in front of her friends and enemies. She knew he was the type of boyfriend that if she lost a limb, he will dump her for the one with limbs, yet she consoled herself that the time had not come.

She was worried about getting fat which was like a chronic disease of most young girls, so she invested her time and resources in weight loss products and made the gym her living room. She was beautiful; yet with low self esteem. You knew it only when you were with her. She worried daily that she would one day end up alone, or if she had anyone, he was going to be an abuser or even a parasite that will suck blood and water from her until she sells herself to coping mechanism and then die finally at a young age. She was also too worried that men appreciated her sex appeal and beauty but not her intellect and her passion.

There were tail telling signs that she ignored. Although they were both into each other, they were not like minded. They wanted to have sex every minute of the day and wanted to be with each other every minute of their lives, but he was so money minded and did not consider family as important as she did. She has lived beauty and known that life was not all about beauty, but he was still striving to show people he was handsome. You have often heard that violence is the weapon of weak communicators. Her boyfriend had a pendulum temperament that swung by at home according to his day outside. They could never resolve their problems by themselves without him trying to involve his female friends. He will say “ Angelica you are woman, is Paulina right? In addition, she wanted to further her education, but he thought education was a waste of time and money. Just the mere fact that he looked at her as a sex object could have opened her eyes, but she thought she will change him when they got married. She forgot that our people say “You can easily reform a boyfriend but not a husband; you tolerate the husband only.” She knew that he had a lot of things she must changed in him while he thought she needed to go to a survivor school to be street smart.

He had quickly noticed that there were many things she could do well but that was not what mattered to her boyfriend. He spoke to her in terms of a trophy he will hoist around but wanted to be replaced at anytime if it was not more the winning trophy. Her boyfriend has successfully kept his drug addition and pornography away from her. Not sooner were they married did she start to see signs. Despite all the sex she gave him, he was still fantasizing about the girls outside. He flirted and was still on dating sites even though he was married. He kept female companions that they went out regularly to clubs and parks. As life may have it; she could remember the good men she turned down because of either color, height or wealth. Now she seems to have gotten stuck with the one time Mr. Right who has become a match from hell. Paulina, who would you blame?

If you are a beautiful girl, know that beauty does not last for ever. Garnish your beauty with virtues that are not ephemeral. Character does not hide; you should go for the man whose character will make your life joyful. And for those men who are married but want to live single lives, beware you will soon become single and looking. If you are married but want to live like you are single, you will never have a lengthy and happy marriage. Does “Hosanna” Mean What Your Church Taught You?

Several of you and almost every Christian has heard the word Hosanna and many of us have even used it at one point in life. In most cases, people have used it as “Praise the Lord”. Did you know that the word does not mean what it is said to mean? In this lesson, you will know the meaning of the word, and see why it was used that way on Jesus. Today I will treat Jesus’ entry in Jerusalem and its consequences on the people of his days and us today. The lesson comes from the following passages Mt. 21:1-11; cf. Mk. 11:1-11; Lk. 19:29-44; Jn. 12:12-19. I will do a verse to verse commentary as my methodology and will use John 12:12-19 as the passage.

Verse 13. The multitude spread their garments; others used tree branches to welcome him as the days of Feast of Tabernacles. John adds that the people held palm fronds in their hands. The Romans honored people by giving them palm fronds with the inscription “Palmam qui meruit ferat.” It means “ Let him bear the palm who has deserved it.” During the days of persecution, the martyrs held it as a sign of victory over their persecutors, their flesh and the world.

Verse 14. Why did Jesus use a donkey rather than a horse? The kingdom he was to establish did not need a horse. He was fighting a spiritual war and not a physical war. Horses were used for physical warfare. Weapons of spiritual warfare are not carnal (2 Cor 10:4; Eph 6: 12-18). A donkey was a sign of peace. His kingdom will bring peace and everlasting peace. In those days, common travelers used asses while high level personalities used horses. Horses were faster while asses took their time to saunter. So Jesus took a donkey in marked contrast with the zeitgeist to show that he came for the downtrodden; those that sin has beaten down and are overweighed by the effects thereof.

This is the way a king was honored in Israel as we see with king Jehu (2 kings 19: 13). To the people, Jesus was their king. Indeed he was a king, but not the way they thought. The people of Israel were desperate for a king as you read the account by Gamaliel (Acts 5: 36-37).

Two things we learn here; the principles of leadership. Churches and pastors were to lead and not manage people. The church is not an industry or business organization. Those who have tried to make it so in Jesus’ days were whipped out of the temple. The church and pastors were to lead people to Christ and then train others to lead others to Christ. Jesus has people he is training here who will fit his shoes when he is gone.

During the last year of Herod’s reign, a man named Theudas gathered about 400 people to overthrow the rule of Rome over the Israelites. Him and his people were crushed and order was restored. That crushed the hope of the Jews who remained under foreign bondage.

After some time, Judea was tired being under foreign domination. Consequently, another sect called the Essenes came to join the Pharisees and Sadducees. But the Essenes believed in a physical kingdom; thus, wanted to take away the power from the Romans. The sect of Essenes was begun by Judas of Galilee. He too because God did not bless the insurrection failed and was killed. So the Jews have lost in two rebellions and were now hopeless for a Messiah. To them, it was not a messiah for their sins but to unleash them from the shackles and manacles of Rome.

When the Lord is leading your way, he makes even your enemies to be at peace with you (Prov 16:9). See how everyone just obeyed him when Jesus sent for the donkey which was not even his. This is a sign that the Lord had sent him. In addition, Jesus uses the ass to fulfill scripture (Zech 9:9).

Take particular note of this verse 9. The people cried, save us. But then they say “Hosanna to the son of David: blessed in he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.” The king was to come from the lineage of King David. Some other ones like Theudas and Judas the Galilean came, but it was not the Lord who sent them so they perished. This time around, please save us.

Hosanna means “save, we pray.” The salvation they wanted was from the Romans. So the word Hosanna does not mean praise as the church has become used to saying. It is not going to be the last time that the Jews will mistake the mission of Jesus. In the days of the apostles immediately after his resurrection, the apostles asked him “Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?” (Acts 1:6). What they mean here is that ok, during other times we hoped for a messiah to gain back our territory from Rome, but it do not work. You came and walked through Jerusalem and we thought you will finally hand it to us, but you were killed. Now that you have braved death after three days, will you then hand us the kingdom?

Hitherto, many preachers and Christians still mistake Jesus’ kingdom for a physical kingdom. Jesus did not come for a physical kingdom; he came to set us free from our sins.

Immediately as they were saying it, the chief priests were trembling. The issue here is that although Rome was in charge, she ruled by delegated authority or by proxy. Rome appointed the chief priests who reported to the roman governor. In case of any rebellion, the chief priests were first held accountable before the general populace. So each time the people came up like this welcoming Jesus, it reminded them of a rebellion and the consequences that ensued. That is why it will be the chief priests first to start accusing and fighting Jesus as a trouble maker. When they (the Pharisees and Sadducees and chief priests) accused him, they arrested him with no charge and took him to Annas (a retired former high priest). Annas did not find anything wrong with him (Jhn 18:13-24). Not satisfied, they took him to the current high priest Caiaphas who also did not find anything wrong (Jn 18:49-50). All of this at night (Jn 18:3). This was not a mistake; it was to fulfill scripture that the Lord or Lords was to die as a ransom for the sins of mankind. Therefore, Jesus came that we might have life and life abundantly. He did not come for a physical kingdom but for a spiritual kingdom although there are serious benefits that go with our salvation. So taking him to Pilate (Mk 15:1) who still did not find any fault in him was a mere divine plan to give us-sinners, salvation.

Jesus came to set us free by giving his life on the cross to redeem us. He showed that he came for all humanity and all sinners whoa re willing to repent. Are you willing to repent of your sins? Those who heard and accepted his message of salvation, he gave them rest from sin and rest from their problems. Aren’t the wages of sin overweighing you? Why are you still carrying your burdens when instead giving them to Christ who cares fro you? I know you have been crying Hosanna. Hosanna, but you have done that to the world and the devil. It is high time you cry unto Jesus and tell him, “Jesus, son of David -save us.

Until then, let Jesus be the real king in your life.

MY PREDICTIONS: WHO WILL LOSE IN THE NEWEST MECA USA LAWSUIT?

MECA USA led by Dr Samuel Besong sues MECA USA led by Sesekou Philip Tabi, and Sesekou Solomon Egbe on 09/02/2011. The defendants responded on 10/31/2011. As a neutral observer, I want to predict the outcome of the suit and its ramifications thereof. It should be noted that this is not the first time that we are incurring a lawsuit. From 2007-20011, MECA USA has had two lawsuits with this making it the third in 4 years. One thing I want everyone to know is that in this lawsuit no one is going to jail because it is a civil suit. No one can go to jail in a civil suit even if you are guilty and cannot make restitution. You go to jail in a criminal suit. I know I have treated a similar case, but this case is different.

Now back to the case proper. Samuel Besong does not have the proper credentials to sue either Solomon Egbe or MECA USA led by Sesekou Philip Tabi because in 2007, Solomon Egbe’s term came to an end and new elections were conducted. The elections were flooded with irregularities as one illegal vote from Ms Judith Ebini decided the outcome of the elections 72/73 and Tabi/Mondi lost by one vote to Ako/Besong. Many have asked me how I knew Judith voted for Ako/Besong and not for Tabi/Mondi. First of all, she has said it herself, and I know she is an honest woman who can tell all and sundry where she voted. It was the Ako people who registered her to vote in MECA Delaware; meanwhile, her own chapter: MECA DC had rejected her as being illegal. Tabi/Mondi team then sued MECA USA, but the case did not go to trial as it was withdrawn by the plaintiff to the satisfaction of both parties. They were to wait for the next elections in 2009.

On July 4, 2009, in DC, the elections did not take place contrary to the constitution, and it was the incumbent who annulled the elections from taking place. The Ako/Besong Team were hinging on fake absentee ballots and were trying to introduce them into the counting phase by their representative and head of the IEC: Dr. Anne Assam. As a member of the electoral committee, I requested to inspect every ballot as stated by the constitution before she could use them. She refused and kept them only in her handbag that she shuffled like a fortuneteller looking for cowries. We informed the Agbor/Ebini team of the maneuvers and insisted as members of the electoral committee that there will be no election until the idea of absentee ballots was rejected. The Ako Besong team continued with the election which was disrupted by the majority of the people. The hall was occupied by the objective majority and with every occupation by the masses, the Police were called in. The election ended in a total fiasco, but the people went to dance in the evening as if they went there for dancing. On Sunday, they took their bags and went to their different destinations. At the time that the meeting scattered, there was no more any leader because the AKO/Besong Team had burnt out their mandate.

On July 16, 2009, Council Of Chiefs or Council Of Crooks (COC) sat to hand over power to the incumbent team: Ako/Besong in total disregard and violation of the constitution. First of all, COC was illegal because it was partisan. Out of the 9 members of COC: Chief John Etta (MECA-Houston and COC Chairman) , 2. Chief Ekinneh Agbaw-Ebai (MECA New England and COC Secretary), 3. Chief Elvis Etah Ayuk (MECA DC - Metro), 4. Chief Mme President Gladys Tambong (MECA Dallas Forth Worth), 5. Chief Mrs. Evelyn Mbi (MECA Tri-State), 6. Chief Peter Aiyuk (MECA Reno - Nevada), 7. Chief Ernest Tarkang (MECA California), 8. Chief Major Fidelis Agbor (MECA Georgia), and 9. Chief Kenneth Eyong (MECA Delaware), 7 were open supporters of Ako/Besong Team. In addition, out of the 6 subsection articles on Art 5/ sec F that dealt with elections issues, all were violated making their decision invalid because it was flawed, biased without evidence from which judgment was stayed. Furthermore, the article dealt with a scenario after elections had taken place and there were problems.

In the case of 2009, elections did not take place, and there were no provisions in the constitution in case elections did not take place. The constitution did not say what happens to the organization in case the elections are cancelled. It is only Art 5 Sec III line 5 that comes closer. It reads thus: “If there is a tie between two contenders in terms of the number of votes cast, the names of the contenders will be written and placed in a basket for any Manyu child under age ten (10) on the convention floor to pick. Whoever is picked becomes the winner.” Therefore, making the Ako/Besong Team governors of MECA USA was unconstitutional and a total miscarriage of justice.

Thenceforth, any group of people who assembled in the name of MECA and had their leader were doing so on illegal bases. The illegality was not against the law, but against the internal rules and regulations of MECA USA Inc. And if push came to shove, the side that retained the 501 C 3 documents would be regarded as the rightful bearers and leaders of the organization.

However, let us say in this present case where one of the defendants Solomon Egbe has accused Samuel Besong and MECA for operating an illegal NGO. The case could be referred to the IRS and the district attorney too could look into the accusations if there is probable cause to indict and bring forth charges. In the case where the Besong Team lose the case, then we can talk of imprisonment. During the civil suit, there will not be any accusations that is unrelated to the suit like character or how anyone filed asylum since it has no bearing. If the defendant objects to the plaintiff to talk about it and he does it, the judge could fine him for violation or contempt of court. That is why the witness for Michael Jackson’s defense was fined $1000 by the judge. So those threats that anyone could tell the court how the other person filed asylum may not hold here. Now, if the case goes to a criminal trial, it will no more be Solomon Egbe or MECA USA/ Tabi against MECA USA / Besong; it will be the State of Maryland vs. Samuel Besong and MECA USA. Solomon Egbe could merely be used by the state as a witness. The dynamics here are very technical.

Lawsuits like this will eliminate the kingmakers ideology and will permit skillful and legal leaders to rule the organization. There would be a fine line on sand or concrete that king makers have no place in modern society. It will also rid the organizations of individuals making their private vendettas the meeting property. If it does not eradicate, at least it will curb the culture of slander and libel that has bedeviled us for years. There would be a fine line on sand or concrete that making libelous or defamatory statements could cost you money or your freedom.

Nevertheless, my prediction is that in this case, it is likely that the Samuel Besong MECA USA will lose the case because they do not have the legality to sue, they have operated under false authority. In addition, Solomon Egbe had handed over power and MECA USA relics and artifacts which were confirmed by those charged with the responsibility of collecting them. Just like the COC that was attached to Ako/Besong team gave them the books of the organization to operate upon, Solomon gave to those who were legally holding the legal documents of MECA issued by the state of Maryland where the association was registered.

Until then, in the absence of wisemen in a community, the people go to court.

Jephthah: Despised But Not Useless.

Do you look at yourself with great talents and skills, yet you are unable to place food on your table? You were due for promotion, but your company bypassed you and compounded your misery with letting you go. You sing like an angel and dance like a cock, but no producer has accepted your works. You write like Shakespeare and John Donne, but publishers reject your works. Many doors keep closing right in front of your nose. Before I tell you today’s story, I want to remind you about our contemporaries. After many rejections, in 2007, lady Gaga was in her “tiny apartment praying God that someone will believe in her”, and Akon finally believed in her when no one would. Today you know who she is. "Clinton charity foundation began 10 years ago in 2001 as a one man foundation, but today many follow the dream." In this lesson, you will learn that simply because you are rejected, you are not useless because no mortal can dispossess you of the dream that God has destined for you if you stay steadfast to harness your skills knowing that your hardship was a hibernation period. So today I will tell you the story of Jephthah: a man who was despised and rejected but later became the judge (ruler) of the entire Israel.

Jephthah means he opens. Him that God sets free or open to go. He was the son of Gilead and a concubine. He was conceived out of wedlock, but he was a mighty man of valor, a brave soldier. Jephthah was strong physical because faith then was lived physically. Can we call you a mighty person of valor. To be strong spiritually, you must adorn thyself with the weapons of warfare in Eph 6: 10-18. His father Gilead got married and had other children. After Gilead died, Jephthah’s step brothers and sisters decided to thrust him out because his mother was not married to their father when he was conceived.

They were acting according to the guidelines of inheritance that existed in those days. Children out of wedlock did not have birthrights. Rather than stay back and fight, he decided to leave because he knew the laws and people of the land were against him (V.7) and also because he trusted God. This passage does not say so, but we know so because the writer to the Hebrews registered him amongst the men of faith (Heb 11:32). After his brethren drove him, he went and joined other worthless men in Tob (a nearby city), and they formed a band where he was the leader. Take note of Matthew 21:42.

As time passed, Israel was attacked by Ammon because they accused Israel for seizing their land when she was coming out of Egypt, passing through Arnon, Jabbok, unto Jordan. So the elders (leaders) of Gilead went to look for Jephthah to come and fight for them. Do not think that those who despise you do not know your importance; they are merely jealous and unsecured. When they solicited his help to lead them into war to fight the Ammonites, he told them to remember that they had driven him before and now they need his help. Those who hurt you will come to you for help.

The elders told him that it is true they had hated and driven him but now they have come back to their sense and they need him. If a people do not want you to lead them, let them be; when the time comes that they need you, they will come for you. Never force yourself on anyone who does not want to deal with you. Jephthah would be made the judge of Gilead and Israel. The elders even made a vow that he would be their leader. God knows how to prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies and your cup runs over. However, the realization of this dream does not come without sacrifice.

That is why the Bible says “And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands, Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the LORD'S, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.” Jephthah won his battle as God kept his side of the bargain. It was now time for Jephthah to keep his . He has made a very strange vow to God; that he would sacrifice the first thing that came out of his house. It is a very strange vow that he was making because of the outcome.

At this time it always the custom of women to go and receive the warriors with timbrels and dances as they were entering into the city. That is why you will see the women do it to David when he killed Goliath (I sam 18:6).

Yet, it comes as a surprise to Jephthah that the first thing to appear out of his house was not a cattle it was his only daughter. Just to situate you why he was expecting something else other than his daughter. In those days, people slept in the same house with their cattle. When it was dawn, the rearer opened the door and put out the stronger and older sheep first so they do not overrun the younger and weaker ones. So Jephthah knew that if anything was to come out of his house, it would be a cattle but even if it was the fattest cattle that came out, he was ready to sacrifice it.

Many people will despise you in times of your failure or weakness, but in your days of greatness and fame, they will want to identify themselves with you. It is failure that is an orphan; success always has relatives and extended relatives. Some people will say I did not know you were going through what you are going now. If I knew, I would have helped you. That is what the Ephraimites were saying; I mean the same people that Jephthah invited them to give him a helping hand but they ignored him (Judges 12:1-2). He finally judged Israel for six years, and he died and was buried in Gilead; the land he was previously driven from.

People have always asked me why God would accept the sacrifice of Jephthah’s daughter. Jephthah had made a non redeemable vow because he had selected the vow of devotement. It means his daughter was to be devoted for the services of God as a temple virgin. It is clear that the sacrifice that Jephthah meant there was not the same as the Baal worshippers did by killing people they offered to Baal.

In Israel, there were two types of vows: redeemable vows and non redeemable vows. To redeem a vow you could not fulfill, you paid money. If you did not have money, you saw the priest to offer yourself. It is not that Jephthah killed his daughter but that he had to give his daughter for the services of God as such, she will never get married. Consequently, Jephthah would not have any other children (Judge 11:) and his lineage will get extinct. She was to remain a temple virgin ().

At first we see that Jephthah’s daughter did not just follow her father, but she also believed and feared God that is why she told him that “My father, if thou hast opened thy mouth unto the LORD, do to me according to that which hath proceeded out of thy mouth; forasmuch as the LORD hath taken vengeance for thee of thine enemies, even of the children of Ammon.” (Judges 11:36). This was a girl with a living syneidesis and a father with a high synteresis. Verse 37 gives us a clearer picture of the nature of sacrifice he was to sacrifice. If she was to be killed, she would not wail for her virginity.

Because she was going to be a temple virgin, it was her whole life spent in the temple; whereas, she had not enjoyed the reason for which she kept herself a virgin. Verse 39 again even paints the picture pellucidly when it says that her father did with her according as he had vowed and she knew no man. Therefore, her father gave her to the temple as a result the young girls of Israel went to lament with her for 4 years every year.

My friend, let those who think you are a nobody and have no skills keep sleeping on the first bench, but you know what you have. Paul had been rejected though he great skills, but Barnabas believed in him. One day someone will surely believe in you. You know what you are made of. Nurture and harness your skills waiting for that golden opportunity. Fight and leave no stone unturned until you find the milieu where you will exercise your great talents. Jesus will fight your secret battles in your great time of need. Would you like for me to ask you if you have ever believed in anyone and given them the opportunity at their time of need?

This video falls short because it portrays only women as victims of domestic violence. Domestic abuse affects both genders. I used to know a man who was always beaten by his fat wife. She will climb on him and beat him as kids go or come from school stood to watch. So who fights for those men?

One Friday in 2000, I told a former colleague to have a good weekend. He told me that he was not sure to have one. He told me that he did not have a place to live as a result, he slept in abandoned houses. That day I told him to follow me, so he can take one of my rooms. One day he told me he was married and that his wife was in the shelter. He pled everyday for me to allow him to bring the wife to live with him. I accepted, we drove and brought the wife.

Immediately she came, she began fighting with him everyday. One day when I came back home, she had a knife on his stomach saying “ say a word again and I put it inside your f..king belly. The man tried to hold her hand, and she said “do not touch me or I call the police to send your f..king ass back to jail. You know that will be your third strike.” She slapped him and blood was coming out of his mouth. I threaten to call the police, and the husband told me to leave it. I had to finally put them out for fear that by the time I come back from work one day, she must have killed him. Months after they left, the FBI came to my house asking for her. I don’t know if she even killed the poor man. So this video to me is a very biased video because it does not show the sort of all victims of domestic abuse.

I knew a Senegalese who was looking for work. He went and found work in a dry cleaning place. The woman asked him what type of work he wanted. He told her that he wanted anything. The woman asked him to start work the next day. He told us, and we were thankful to God for him until I met him one day. I asked him why he was growing paler and paler. He told me that his job was a poisoned chalice. I said what type of work is that that will make you skinny like this like spaghetti. He said it is some badluck he has picked that he calls a job.

His boss was a nymphomania. She had told him that his job was just to have sex with her. Each time she felt bored and there was no customer, she pulled him behind the counter and asked him to clock in his hours. At first he was excited for the job thinking it will just be once or twice a day until he realized that it was going to be like 3 times or more everyday that he came to work.

Since he did not know the American way of using the mouth, she had to give him bonus to use the mouth. Because the position was not comfortable, his neck began hurting in addition to losing weight. I have not seen him again since 2002, and I don’t even know if he survived.

Therefore, I don’t understand people keep portraying only women as victims of domestic abuse . There are many men who are raped daily by women. Some are killed and others are beaten too. Domestic abuse does not know any boundaries with gender. Both men and women abuse their partners. Women in America have been given too much powers with this abuse thing, and they have used it to run away like a sprinter runs a race. It is time for the laws and the society to regard it as a societal problem that affects both genders. If a Battered Husband Club was formed, there will be many men as members. Who batters them then? Why are they not included in videos like this one?

This article is a reply to Dr Elonge’s article “CAMEROON AT CROSSROADS: THE VOTE THAT WILL RE-DEFINE HISTORY” posted on Camnet on October 6, 2011. This author will posit that Paul Biya has outlived his usefulness to Cameroonians, so he should not be given another seven year term to waste. Only a python that is tired of living would wander into the marshland where its head is mostly desired, so Cameroonians putting up with Biya is worst than that. One is alarmed and disheartened reading Dr Elonge’s treatise, to see a brilliant professor expend such great resources just to make a plaidoirie for a tyrant. That is the beauty of democracy, and he commits no mae culpa as he is entitled to his opinion. Those who rather than rebut his opinion instead pour invectives to disparage him must acknowledge the times we live in; a time where a kaleidoscope of opinions is the glove all should wear to build a pluralistic and multicultural society. It is only tolerance that can breach the gap between races, colors, tribes, languages, perspectives and cultures. Although to defend Biya’s reign is sickening to the bone and marrow, it is even worst than that to see some try to defend him because it is like being the Devil’s advocate.

Dr Elonge starts by ascertaining the factors contributing to the peace in Cameroon. Perhaps I should add that Cameroon is relatively peaceful because of its linguistic and ethnological complexity. Unlike cases of Rwanda, Congo or Ivory Coast where you can have two major tribes, Cameroon boasts of 286 languages and about 262 ethnic groups. It is difficult to convince three tribes to form a coalition. Even with the linguistic divide between Anglophones and Francophones, it is still very difficult as those terms have been neutralized and made now an open and close terms in that there are people who were born from the Northwest and Southwest who did Francophone education and do not even know how to speak English and same with some people whose parents are Francophones, but they did Anglophones education.

Another reason for the relative stability is the presence of God amongst Cameroonians. Cameroon has found favor before God that he shows his prophets what was going to happened to Cameroon and the people intercede to drive the evil away.

Another reason why there has been peace in Cameroon is because the French and Americans have enabled the tyrant, despot and autocrat of Paul Biya that the opposition has been reduced to waterboys who jubilate if they could share a moment with him as they visit or attempt to visit the president at midnight for the goodies that drip from his corrupt and bloody fountain.

If one has to really cross-examine the definition of the term democracy, it will be difficult to apply it to the system of government in Cameroon. Cameroon has a mixture of democracy and monarchy. It should thus be called demo-monarchy in the sense that the concept of democracy has been demonstrated in Cameroon, but monarchy is what is practiced form the villages to the presidency. The elections are a farce and charade.

In his second phase, the author exposes on the concept of democracy and how it is applied faithfully in Cameroon by Paul Biya. In every democracy, the constitution is the backbone that guarantees law and order to the highest extreme, yet this constitution has been a tool in the hands of president Paul Biya. He has manipulated and bought his way for it to be amended to make him the monarch of Cameroon as he is going to rule the country for 36 years if he completes the next seven years. How on earth would that happened in a genuine democracy? In a pure democracy, the branches of government- judiciary, executive and legislature are independent. Without a doubt, everyone knows that is not the case with Cameroon.

A clear example just happened recently. The government had to disburse money to other opposition leaders to challenge him in the elections. To those like Muna or Ayah he knew a good campaign could torpedo him, he did not give them money. Furthermore, the embassies are directly under the president and support his candidacy rather than serve all Cameroonians. Little kids born in Cameroon know that the courts; from the supreme court judges to the magistrates in the little towns are directly answerable to the president as he can appoint or sack them directly by himself or through his minister of justice who serves as his lapdog. Actually all the ministers act as cheerleaders to the president and the prime minister serves as the captain of the cheerleading squad. Would anyone call that a democracy? From the imprisonment of Lapiro de Mbanga to that of Bibi Ngota (may his soul rest in peace), it is clear that free speech is not guaranteed. In a true democracy, an accused is innocent until proven guilty, yet Bibi Ngota died in jail under the watchful eyes of this president Paul Biya for no crime. He was beaten and his precious life robbed away from his family and friends, and the journalistic world. Isn’t free speech an aspect of a genuine democracy? Can we still say that people can speak their minds in Cameroon?

The writer claims that there is representation. It is a pseudo representation as it is has been shown that the CPDM is the majority and not because it won elections but because it stole the elections and imposed itself as the majority party. A seed does not germinate when it is planted. While we all agree that democracy must evolve to a point of maturity, that of Cameroon after dwarfing itself for 29 years is now shrinking to autocracy and totalitarianism. Cameroon is not different from North Korea with the exception of the facade called elections it organizes periodically. Could what just happened be called elections? The president did not announce the election date until about 2 months ago.Thus having prepared itself behind, it was ready to take her opponents by surprise. Is that still democracy? In a democracy, the law is no respecter of persons. In the Diaspora, the CPDM voted an distributed the votes to other parties to make it look like an election took place. No other party diehard went to that embassy to vote, but votes we cast in their favor. So the CPDM just apportioned the votes by their own imagination.

It is wrong for Elonge to parody Ali Mazrui’s assertion that Africans can establish a self taught democracy. If they have learned other lessons and subjects in school, then they can learn the concept of democracy too well. Furthermore, Ali Mazrui’s declaration has been misrepresented because what he meant was that Africans are able to utilize the democracy applying their local color. In other words; democracy cannot function in Africa if Africans destroy their culture and traditions. If democracy must function, the culture should still be the bedrock on which it sleeps. For example, while Africans may believe in voting for a leader, it will be wrong for them simply because a young man is challenging his father or someone older than him, to call him names. Gerontocracy should be cocktailed with democratic concepts to form the African democracy. Except in dysfunction villages, the villagers knew that once your term to rule came to an end, you left peacefully. That is African culture that should be blended with the concept of democracy. In that sense, Paul Biya should have gone years ago because he has outlived his usefulness to Cameroonians.

Consequently, it is purely praise singing to think that the form of democracy befitting for Africa is the one practiced in Cameroon, Gabon, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, and other places where one person steals the elections to clutch onto power for more than half a century. Rather, Africans can look at Jerry Rawlins of Ghana, Rupiah Banda of Zambia, Pedro Pires of Cape Verte, and Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia as democrats who are establishing true democratic societies that apply the principles and theory of Ali Mazrui.

Since president Paul Biya’s ascension unto that high magistracy, he has not created any employment. Instead, Cameroon lost all the parastatals he met; the private sector was totally depleted and destroyed so much so that the government became like heaven from whence cometh manna. Unfortunately, this manna was scarce and hard to even fall daily.

Subsequently, he promised 25, 000 jobs into the public service before announcing his intention to run, but he did not hire a single person. During the recent elections, he announced he will hire 70, 000 people. How will a man offer you a mansion if he does not even have a hurt to sleep? If a child does not have leg how will he walk our people ask?

When he came in 1982, he had a slogan “Rigor and Moralization.” Unfortunately, Cameroon became twice the most corrupt country in the world within ten years. Corruption germinates and grows in Cameroon like green grass grows on a football field; it is engrained in every fiber and sector of the people like dust is scattered on the Mamfe-Ekok road. To appease investors and lenders, he came up with Operation Sparrow Hawk where he would arrest corrupt officials. Regrettably, he used it to cement his position as an autocrat by arresting his possible challengers with the pretext of corruption.

Would anyone tell me Titus Edzoa is more corrupt than Ephraim Inoni? Would anyone tell me that Atangana Mebara is more corrupt than Jospeh Owona? He used the pretext of Operation Sparrow Hawk to dismantle the inner circle he knew could challenge him. Is that the democracy we are talking about? Is that the New Deal Ideology? This actually is the Old Deal that has bedeviled Africa and Cameroon before he came to power.

Actually, he perfected the Old Deal because in those days, embezzlers and corrupt officials invested in the country making the economy buoyant and robust. Today, the wealth of Cameroon has been siphoned by his wife and their relatives to oversea banks. If that is what the writer calls New Deal Ideology then we can say yes, indeed, Biya has implemented the New Deal Ideology to the fullest! The chameleon is not a good dancer but when it comes to changing colors it has no comparison. Paul Biya is a chameleon!

People say what happened in Maghreb cannot happen south of the Sahara because they are different. But we have never known freedom to have limitations. When democracy and freedom began sounding their trump, Gandhi and his people walked around the Indian Oceans, the people of Alabama heard and followed Martin Luther King Jr, and the hills and valleys of Africa echoed and reechoed as independence became a unison singsong in every household. People of Cameroon, freedom does not know boundaries; it hears ands follows the voices of the oppressed wherever they are.

With the principle of Satyagraha , the people of India made the Salt March telling the British in unequivocal terms that enough with that exploitation and that freedom was better than bondage. Up in the prairies of North America, the colored people screeched to be freed from the manacles of slavery and racism. Years later down the veld of South Africa, the depleted but intrepid voices of freedom through Mandela reechoed those same cries to be free from the shackled of Apartheid.

Even when martyrs die, their blood always cries from the ground to heaven. It is certain you can hear the blood of the young people who died in 1990. What about those who died in 1992? Can anyone imagine what they would have become today? Would they have become doctors, lawyers, teachers, carpenters, football and athletic stars? Would they have truly brought us the New Deal? Everyone remembers those in 2002 whose blood was sprayed in the street by Biya’s repressive machine. They were shot at the back of the head by the Biya regime in Yaoundé I, and those in Buea drowned in their own blood that was later licked by the dogs of the stret. Biya’s tanks and armors vehicles roared on others and what we found were mere shadows pasted on the unpaved roads. A blood spring meandered and dried down the gutters that reminded us of the cost of freedom as mothers cried for their children with no one to comfort them. Because those kids died for freedom, their only redemption will be when freedom is given to their brothers and sisters who are left behind. This is the time to make them proud. Paul Biya should not be left to steal another seven years for the youths of Cameroon. No mås!

When I read two days ago that “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” (DADT) has been repealed, I quickly thought of Cameroon. America has been a beacon for anything for the world as young people the world over act as copycats of American godlessness, hedonism or morality. The question now is what happens to poor Cameroon and Africa though? Because of the iron fist the government has on homosexuality in Cameroon and other African countries, many of them are scared to come out in public. In addition, apart from the government, families and friends have not come to grips with the social sexual deviation. Although I may be wrong, but I believe homosexuality is the same like bestiality, swinging and other sexual aberration and so like with every other lifestyle, no one should be coerced or forced directly or indirectly by extortion. Most African countries especially Cameroon are already struggling with the permeation of homosexuality, and so DADT brings with it an added impetus.

The gays and lesbians in Cameroon have lived quietly and most are merely coming now out of the closet. The Europeans have spoiled most of our young boys with pedophilia as they went there purposely to have sex with underage boys. Sooner it became a cult in Cameroon where to be gay, the young boys have to belong to the gay clubs in mostly Yaoundé and Douala. They go to these secret places with potential employers or “big guns” as business tycoons, government officials, church ministers and others who are gay.

When those young boys go to those gay clubs, they expect to be protected by these Big Guy. Their job is just to enjoy as the rich foot the bills. Then later they carry them into their cars to have sex with them in hotels and their homes. Many young people have been spoiled that way because they are desperate for protection.

It will be surprising to know that being gay in Cameroon is not because you were born gay but because you are in a cult or you want money to help yourself and your family. Notwithstanding, there are some Cameroonians who argue they were born gay. So the gays in Cameroon and those in America may have different causes for their gayness. Those in America believe that they were born gay, but there is not a single gay in Cameroon that thinks he or she was born gay.

Surprisingly when they found out that a young man is practicing homosexuality, the government harassed them until they ran out of the country to save their lives while they do nothing to the tycoons, government officials, and church officer who are the catalyst of this deviation. At times, if a government official knew that a young man was going to leak out the secret, they menaced the poor boy until he ran out of the country, and if he does not run out of the ncountry, they will imprison him. Some of them give them money to run away and never to return. If you hang around you might be digging your grave. That is why most of them have only asylum as their best option to survive this Bigman Syndrome.

I do not understand the hypocrisy with government officials hunting after gays, yet sleeping with young boys all over the place. My friend told me that it is now a mode, yet there is s strict rule of secrecy for fear of the rich losing their positions or the poor being harassed by the government and family.

If the government is to copy what is happening in America, they should do so, but they should watch and make sure that our young boys are not subjected to homosexuality simply because they want protection, jobs and a means to earn a living. Let people decide their sexual orientation by their own volition and then face the wrath of God later. After all, God does not issue out collective punishment for:

The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.” (Ezk 18:20).

Is Pat Robertson Right That A Spouse With Alzheimer Should Be Divorced?

On Christianity Today on September 14, 2011, the honorable Pat Robertson said that

I hate Alzheimer's. It is one of the most awful things because here is a loved one—this is the woman or man that you have loved for 20, 30, 40 years. And suddenly that person is gone. They're gone. They are gone. So, what he says basically is correct. I know it sounds cruel, but if he's going to do something he should divorce her and start all over again. But to make sure she has custodial care and somebody looking after her.

There has been an outcry for Pat Robertson to resign or tender an apology to his viewers. Americans should stop asking people to resign when they err in their opinions. Sometimes a bad opinion does not necessarily translate into a mea culpa. Pat Robertson’s statement is almost as if it is a paradox until one applies equity. The Bible gives two cases when divorce is permissible: infidelity (Mt 19:9) or desertion (I Cor 7:14-15). Here is why Pat Robertson could have been right, and why he is wrong.

Marriage has at least three purposes. Firstly, for a help meet or companion (Gen 2:20), secondly, it is a medium of fulfilling the sanction of multiplication (Gen 1:28), and lastly a means to avoid fornication (I Cor. 7:1-2).

If blood is the main requirement in a covenant, sex is the one in a marital relationship. That is the reason why abandonment is one of the reasons why a spouse is permitted to divorce (I Cor 7:14-15) because by abandoning your post, you break the bond that existed via sex. Thus, you are considered dead (Rom 7:1-3). Abandonment is tantamount to someone who is dead because except the spouse dies, digamy is sinful (Rom 7:1-3; I Cor 7:39). When a spouse abandons a covenant, they are considered dead, and the living partner is no more under the covenant because a covenant is only alive by two living parties coming together (Mt 22:32, I Cor 7:15). Since a covenant requires two living beings, the surviving spouse is permitted to look for another partner for a new covenant.

Perhaps we may sympathize with Pat Robertson if he ends here. It is true that the spouse with Alzheimer is unable to fulfill the most rudimentary marital duty of sex, so she could be considered AWOL or a deserter. However, the Bible says if he or she runs away. That calls for the spirit of the law rather than the letter of the law. That means; they must show intent to vacate the marriage covenant physically or spiritually which to my opinion is not because the spouse with Alzheimer did not invite the disease.

It is true that marriage is a covenant registered before God and must be upheld unfailingly, but it is that established bond that binds the two mates as soulmates despite their shortcomings. Therefore, marriage is a bond in blood sexually administered. In a covenant, both covenanters make vows. Most men use the more traditional marriage vows that we know as:

I take you -------to be my lawful wedded wife from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness or in health, to love and to cherish you till death do us part. Heretofore, I make you the promise!

With this vow which is part of the written covenant, a husband divorcing his wife because of Alzheimer or any other disease or mishap, has abandoned their marital vows thereby breaking the covenant to her as a covenantee. The social responsibilities of the covenant though not limited are summarized in Eph 5:25-29 as follows:

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church.

We should ask Pat Robertson a few questions. How are you ready to show that you love your wife and are ready to die for her if you cannot even care for her when she has Alzheimer? Would Jesus abandon a sick church that is willing to be healed since a man must love the wife and be ready to die for her as Christ loved the church and died for her? Would you like to be abandoned by your wife when you become sick and bedridden? If not why would you abandon your spouse because she is sick?

Therefore, while initially it seems Pat Robertson is right, he is wrong because the law that is applied by the letter kills while the one applied by the spirit brings life. There is no way one can profess love for s spouse and then abandon them when they have Alzheimer, Cancer, HIV or any other terminal situations. Isn’t it time for the Bible to be applied by the spirit and not the law? Aren’t spouses supposed to be friends in need?

Until then, you should be there more in times of need to your spouse.

Africans, Asians, Europeans and Latin Americans, Beware of the DV Visa Lottery Program!

I have seen how some of you are spending sleepless nights to win the DV. Some of you have auctioned all you had to win the lottery, and others have visited all types of witchdoctors to give them good luck charms even though they have never won even a fly. I remember this guy that the witchdoctor asked him to eat excreta every morning for seven days, and he will win. Whether he ate it or not; I do not know, but I know that he did not win. You smile; don’t you? I smile too!

For some of you the unenlightened ones; those ones we call in Pidgin mbutukus or the English language calls them simpletons. Those of you who just jump on everything with your feet; you will not only lose your toes (money), you will lose your head (life) one day. Yes, I mean those who think with their anus.

Since many people do not like others to know that they are dingbats; they want everyone to know them as boulevardiers and connoisseurs, they will keep quiet even after having been conned. There are all sorts of emails to people that they are winning the Visa Lottery. While some are sleeping, others are up in the night plotting evil. When some of you are playing American Diversity Lottery to win a green card visa, flaneurs and crooks are not sleeping; they see your desperation and exploit it.

Two days ago someone sent me an email that she has won the DV lottery. I did not respond to it immediately. When I read the mail afterwards, I realized that, it was a scam. I have read from both the USCIS and State Department that they will alert all winners via postal mails. Note that the USCIS or State Department notifies you by writing via US postal service. The USCIS does not use any other email or web address that does not end with dot gov.

There are three things you must do when you receive a mail from anywhere purporting to be an announcement that you have won the DV. Look if they ask for payment. Once you see a request for money, know it is a scam. Secondly, remember you always make the payments at the embassy. The USCIS does not ask you to pay them via Western Union. Thirdly, the USCIS does not tell you that you will take whoever you want to take with you in so far as you pay the fee. They are not so stupid to say that because they know that Africans, Latin Americans and Asians will carry their entire villages, and Europeans will carry their dogs. The USCIS fee is usually standard fee. If you receive a letter from the mail, you will only make payments at the embassy to the consular officer. DV Visas are not processed solely in the United Kingdom.

Hasn't God Forgotten You Peradventure?

As we look at the world and the happenings, we may think that God has gone on leave or vacation and has left human beings to struggle for themselves. The rich pilfer from the poor, and the oppressors think it is their God-given rights to oppress the weak. Stronger nations like the US, Britain, and France are invading weaker nations like Ivory Coast and Libya to siphon their natural resources. Those that made money their almighty purveyor soon realize it can only provide quasi happiness as they become aware of many millionaires suffering from insomnia. Despite the lauds and vespers of many not to lose their houses, the bank still foreclosed on them. Some named and claimed a happy marriage, yet it fell apart like a sandcastle. Others have been unemployed now for so long that if they were even renamed Unemployment as their middle name; it will be a befitting favor. Some neither have health nor death insurance but sickness strolls around their corridor. You are a beautiful girl, but sex that others crave and rave has become a nightmare to you because of pain here and pain there. It seems like your children have signed a pact with delinquency that immurement seems to beckon with both hands. You have written love letters that even Hera would have fallen, but the girl you lust and fantasize about has never given you a single reply. You are wondering if God has forgotten you.

Some are trying and relying on coping mechanisms like sex, drugs, alcohol, and social media to deal with this puzzlement so much so that many have become addicted. Others are in total denial, while some rationalize their misery and calamity. The young and old nowadays rather than run to God instead run to religion as another coping mechanism. The majority are drowning themselves in hedonism and embracing fatalism and existentialism body and soul. The tough subscribe to stoicism which reborn more hopelessness that suicide has increased than decrease.

Even great men of God like David (Ps 106:4) and Jeremiah (Jer 15:15) had thought at one point that God had forgotten them. It would seem the present generation is a generation that could rightly be called mobile drug depots of prescription and off counter medications. Even though the sex industry is also experiencing the recession, young girls are flooding into easy money stripteasing as their imaginary bliss terminus where they make a few bucks from spreading their legs to expose their sacred assets to lustful men; single or married. Yes, that is because most of them think God and human beings have forgotten them. Some of you know people who really do not want to see you. You fear for your life day and night. You sleep and keep an eye open that even a mere mosquito frightens you. Some of you have been so evil that even your own shadow frightens you too. Whatever may be the danger facing you, I want you to remember that God does not forget his people.

I know you have been praying, but today I tell you to garnish your prayers with faith in God. Go down again and pray a birthing prayer (I Kings 18: 42). I am not talking about going to church; I am talking about taking your cares unto God who cares for you. Faith and prayer will never fail you as they never failed Elijah. He prayed and asked his servant to see if the results were there. Rather than give up if there were no results, he went down back again and kept praying. Jesus said “men ought always to pray, and not to faint” (Lk 18:1), and Paul reiterated “pray without ceasing” (I Thes 5:17). Why are you ceasing to pray when your trouble is still there? Is it because you think God has forgotten you? Yes, Elijah prayed until God gave a mighty rain (I Kings 18: 42-46). Therefore, if you want an answer to your situation, hear me well; God has not forgotten you. No, he does not forget his own people “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.” (2 Chro 16:9).

Until then, wait patiently a little longer for God has not forgotten you!

Maria Shriver: A Casualty of American Intolerance.

I had heard about Arnold Schwarzenegger when I was 15 because of his movies: "Terminator" and "Commando". So, when I heard he was getting married, I was curious. Then as I was reading the background of the wife, I realized she was from the Kennedy clan. They then disappeared from my sight until he began running as a governor of California. I followed the elections and was amazed to read that the wife was a democrat, and he was a republican. I thought to myself that would be a difficult marriage. Surprisingly, it was not politics that will separate them; it was sex. Something that has baffled many is how the American public has held the woman more responsible than the man with the battle lines well drawn between the women and the men. Almost every woman thinks she has handled it well; meanwhile, the male commentators seem to be shocked she is getting on with her life well.

The US is still a very intolerant place towards women and lacks chemistry amongst the races. One can still hear most people saying that they did not vote for Hillary Clinton over Obama because she is a woman. Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann face the same onslaught. The proofs are that the paparazzi follow Shriver more than Schwarzenegger who has had a national and international influence. The media does not feel amazed that Schwarzenegger is going on well, but they seem to harbor those feelings that Shriver is doing well. The simple explanation is that women in America are not totally emancipated. Don’t mind the noise; look at the signs on the ground.

The feeling of America towards women is still just slightly different from the epoch before the 19^th Amendment. Americans preach democracy, but they are still very intolerant. A glaring example is that Americans do not discuss politics, religions, sports, or even race at work for fear they offend the interlocutor with a contrary opinion. Aren’t those social milieus where societal concerns should be discussed? The same goes with the treatment of women.

Here is a woman who is lawfully separated and rightly so, trying to move on with her life, but people still feel she should not be coming out? She has kept a low key unlike those media hungry women who run after every talkshow for an interview after a failed marriage. She has stayed away from public histrionics of a betrayed wife; she has rather embraced her one time profession-journalism.

Shouldn’t she be left alone to manage her life? What is her evil in her failed marriage? The husband has failed her and has assumed his responsibility. They have come to amicable terms. Isn’t it time for gainsayers and rumor mills to grind to a still now that the manufacturers have refrained from manufacturing their products? Isn’t it time for canards subscribers to seek other companies and subscribe for marital dirt?

While divorce is bad with nefarious residual effects, it is still morally permitted on grounds of infidelity (Mt 19:9) or desertion (I Cor 7:14-15). As much as we could dissuade those concerned from divorcing, they do nothing wrong if they persist and divorce. What the society should do is encourage them to pick up the broken pieces, mend them into reusable vases that will bring joy to themselves and to the community again.

Until then, America must grow tolerance.

Nanje Jackson Got It All Wrong!

This treatise is in reaction to Nanje's article “reforming the Cameroon Parliamentary Micro Fund System” posted on Camnet on September 17, 2011 and also published on his blog. I want to disagree with your endorsement of D.S. Gibbons; 1994) claims that Micro Funds started in 1974 in Bangladesh. I cannot fault the learned professor because perhaps he had not traveled to other places and that was the first time he was seeing a venture like that. Actually the people of Nfuni and Kembong claimed that MiCro Funds began from them and lay claims that it began as Social funds.

Notwithstanding, Micro Funds and financing became rampant in Manyu Division since 1963 during the banana days. Then it went to MCFA, then MAFcoop. Then finally disgruntled members from the MAFCOOP then went back again to micro funds and began institutions like Solidarity Savings and Loans (SSL). During that time, the micro funds worked as cooperatives and some even functioned as commercial banks as was the case of SSL and Zion Credit Financing (ZCF). The micro funds did not start with the government and had nothing to do with the government. However, the government had and has the power to supervise them to make sure that they function properly since their collapse affects the economy directly and indirectly.

Nanje failed to show that the government by giving the money for micro projects to parliamentarians was creating a means of holding the different parliamentarians hostage and making them eternal minions of the president since their departure (8 millions CFA) means a loss of the income which most of them embezzle. Out of all the parliamentarians from Manyu division, it is only honorable Rose Abunaw that I know did a miniature development with her own money even though she failed to used the money for the Mam-mbimbi bridge for which it is alleged she collected money.

What Nanje is writing and what Dr Yanus is saying are two different things. Looking at the objectives (D.S Gibbons; 1994) as Nanje cited, you will agree with me that they are talking about two different things. Nanje is alluding to Micro projects, but Yanus is talking about micro funds. Micro funds extend banking facilities to the poor and not parliamentarians. SSL and ZCF (financing two institutions I audited in a survey in 1998 under CRETES sponsored by Ministry of Agricultrure-MINAGRI) were lending money to the poor to eliminate exploitation by the commercial banks and rich individuals who used usury to lend cash. The micro funds became generally known in the entire country as COPECS because they began functioning as cooperatives, and the government even gave them the same licenses that they used for cooperatives.

The Micro funds gave loans to poor people at a far lower interest rate than commercial banks were giving. They also could finance projects by providing the farmer with the crops and utensils needed rather than providing cash. This paved the way for less mismanagement and reduced the potentialities of failure and embezzlement. In addition, it reduced the wait time and hassle that these same farmers faced when they wanted loans from commercial banks or when they expected the cooperatives from helping; especially as cooperatives were almost becoming government parastatals controlled by the MINAGRI and her parastatal of MIDENO.

Therefore, suffer it to know that micro projects and micro funds are two different things. The parliamentarians are executing micro projects which could either be financed by micro funds from COPECS or from the government via the parliamentarians. However, there is a major difference between the two in that Micro funds could actually issue loans while the parliamentarians are there to execute the micro projects themselves. If they were to issue loans what would be the interest rate and who determines that?

Due to time constraints, I will not belabor our points of convergence. I agree with you that even the micro projects by parliamentarians is a waste of money as they have embezzled all the money. I had submitted a report to MINAGRI in 1998 about COPECS and how they could sustain and add impetus to the financial sector especially with the rapid fall of the most commercials banks. The government ignored my report and what ensued was the collapse of most of these COPECS as a row of dominoes.

Many people I personally know (including the writer) lost a lot of money; it even brought disrepute to the church as the Full Gospel Mission had adopted the ZCF as their bank despite my warning to the mission leaders. I had helped to advise the founders and CEOs of ZCF, so I knew the structure and dynamics of the Micro Fund and their own shortcomings especially the fact that there was no proper financial oversight and the regulations in placed were not properly enforced.

Nonetheless, it is not late to make amends as we are an emerging economy struggling for a breakthrough. The government should trace the documents they paid me money to research on and then implement the proposals. One thing I will agree with you intoto is that parliamentarians should not be given money to carry out any project. If the poor people in Cameroon could even be so corrupt when they don’t see money, how much more when they see money? At best the government should strengthen those COPECS and with strict oversights and regulations to monitor the financial system, provide adequate consumer protection and security of assets (rather than what happened to SSL and ZCF where the COPEC’s assets were sold to powerful investors because of insecurity) and then the parliamentarians should instead just overlook the entire financial system.

Until then, the entire financial system needs an overhaul.

And Then She Surrendered Her Pearl To The Devil- the Thief!

Years ago, I knew a very good friend of mine. We walked and hung out together. He was enjoying the marriage of his life, and his wife was his most cherished treasure on earth. He always joked that even though there is no marriage in heaven; he will go with his wife to heaven and that he will apply for exemption if need be. He will look at me and say “reverend, I pity bachelors like you.” Then calamity struck; his wife told him she wanted divorce. “I cannot believe you did it with her. Upon all the people on earth you see daily, you have not seen any other person except my best friend. I am done. It is disgraceful to me. I guess you wanted to rub it on my face. I accept it. I am done.” Three weeks later, she filed for divorce, and they both parted their ways. Her story reminded me of some tales I will like to share with you today.

When we were adolescents, a plantain farmer caught his daughter in the middle of the farm having sex with the farm boy. He took the girl home, beat her very well and tied her outside naked as people passed and shamed her. Her mother pled with the father who untied her. All that was done to the young man was a stern warning “leave my daughter alone except you are tired of living”. Would it have been fair for the father to just give the daughter as a gift to the man?

Still in the village, we used to have a guy who had the demons of theft. He stole everything; useful or useless. Many thought he was under a curse. One day his cousin found him stealing his cocoa buds. He reported it to the village council that requested that he should be arrested, tied and flocked in front of the entire village. The man continued tending his farm and thenceforth built a strong fence and buttered it with juju and scarecrows. Perhaps he should have just given the thief the cocoa farm after all, why did he as his cousin only come to his farm?

In 2010, a man was charged with raping his daughter in front of his wife. He had raped her while the wife was at work and when she came and confronted him, he locked them both in the room and raped the girl again. For three days he kept raping the daughter until she was set free on the third day. When the man was arrested, I was expecting the wife to say, “please just go with your father the cousin of the devil, for I cannot believe that he raped you in front of me.”

While it is not in the power of the farmer and the woman to change the course of things, it does not peter out the fact that the women have been defiled. One thing we must all remember is that the devil comes to steal, kill and to destroy. If the devil is trying to steal your husband or your wife and you catch it, please, take him or her back and chase the devil away from your path. If you can run away, do so. I remember an uncle who kept moving from one town to another because there was a young boy that wanted his wife. Finally, the boy gave up, and they have lived happily thereafter.

Until then, don’t surrender your pearl to the devil the thief.

When Communities Lose Their Souls.

When I was flying back from Atlanta to Portland, I began thinking about what has happened to our communities nowadays. The word community is actually borrowed from a German word gemeinde with the root gemeinschaft which means a natural bond of confreres or compeers. Healthy people will build a healthy community and healthy communities will build a healthy city. Healthy cities will build a healthy country and healthy countries will build a healthy and happy world. In most communities nowadays, one is not safe. There is infighting and actually people rejoice when they hear that evil has befallen their associate. In a small city in Mexico, the drug dealers have taken upon themselves to decimate the community by making it lawless and inhabitable. In local groups where we cannot physically kill, we kill via hatred-assassination of character even those we have no beefs with. Do you think our communities still have their souls?

From creation, God had seen the importance of a community when the Bible says “And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.”(Gen 2:18). Thenceforth, he blessed man to fulfill the sanction of multiplication. Adam and Eve formed their bond and established a community until the serpent lured Eve into sin and damnation. Thus the major characteristic of a community is cohesion. Thereafter, there has been a perpetual struggle to build lasting and joyful communities. Good communities do not only speak the same language, have the same settlement, but they have a common goal-the development of their community. Some years ago, most people could boast of belonging to healthy communities, but it will be difficult to make the same claims today.

In the 90s, there were some churches back in Cameroon that no pastor wanted to pastor because not only the Christians, but the elders were difficult to lead. When I moved to the US, I visited a church, and the pastor at the time told the congregation that they should pray that he will stay because he realized most of their pastors did not last for more than two years. The Christians and the elders too were a thorn in the flesh. How do they hold their own Bibles when they are reading it that they do not see love for mankind or respect for the pastor or at least the warning not to touch God’s anointed I always thought.

Early March this year, I read an article of a Mexican city that did not have a police chief because no one wants to take the job for fear they are killed by the drug lords. A young 21 year old lady took the job and with numerous threats to her life, she caved in and fled to the US where she filed for asylum. Evil usual does not strike too far. So just of recent in one of our Manyu groups, they wanted a new leader to replace the current who is leaving, but no one was ready to replace him.

Anytime it happens that no one wants to lead a group or community, it simply means that community has lost or is losing its soul. Whether they agree or not, the truth is that the bond has been broken, and the cohesion made porous. Many people have lost their character; and very few think about doing what is right. Keeping promises has become a joke and treating people with dignity and respect a thing of the past. Leaders are voted or selected not by competence but by nepotism and who can slander best. The people have become more detached from one another although in the same community especially with the influx of new gadgets, technology that facilitates migration, religions that preach bigotry and intolerance and commerce where making profits outweighs the uberrima fides to satisfy the consumers.

For us to build healthy communities, we must reestablish the notion of neighborhoods. That is; loving your neighbor as yourself. In most of our communities, we are happy to hear that evil has befallen one of us. We boast and trump our chests for their downfall and for those who have not fallen we strive, connive and collude to bring them down. Just because we brought someone down does not mean we are climbing up. Or just because someone we do not like falls, does not mean we will rise. It does not change our social stratum and may never change.

To build a good community now, we must accept that people will come from all over the place and settle with us; some will speak our language and others will not. Those who do not speak the language owe themselves the debt of learning the language to facilitate their integration, but they are not outsiders or enemies in the house. No society can live without conflicts ,but we must learn to minimize our conflicts and then learn how to resolve them without resurrecting the bygones in the present and transposing them into the future.

We cannot be happy to hear that our neighbor’s teenage daughter is pregnant, or that that guy in our community lost his job. We cannot jubilate that our neighbor is foreclosing, or that the tornado wiped out the secretary’s house, but she did not have insurance. We cannot neglect our neighbor who is on drugs, or should we dance when we hear that people are divorcing.

Any community that still enhances the cast system will not be cohesive. We must go back to the basic of family and rebuild our families. It is time to call our relatives and talk with them, pay them visits, greet a neighbor and put a smile on their face. It is high time we spend less time on social media and watching TV rather than doing things with our families. Divorce should not become the mode for there is never a time that the sommum bonum of divorce outweighs the supreme good of marriage. The residual effects of divorce linger far longer than we underestimate. It is high time for people to know that we can be of different religions and still live together happily and form a great community. The people in your community are your neighbors, and you must love them as you love yourself. It is your responsibility to protect their interest and to seek their good and happiness.

Does The Society Know You Are Wearing A Veil?

There is a common saying that everyone has a skeleton in their closet. Will that be you whom everyone respects behind those despicable emails in most forums or comments in websites? Are you the person your kids think you are? Are you the hospitable white person the black people see during the day, or are you the hateful Klan member who plots their death at night? Is it you who employs illegal immigrants but votes against illegal immigration? Aren’t you the one who bashes gays on the pulpit but sleeps around with them? Aren’t you the kids’ lover everyone in the community knows who is molesting that little girl? Jesus told the scribes and Pharisees, “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.” (Mat 23:25). If God and human beings were to take your picture, will they look like the same person? What veil are you wearing? Yes, what mask are you wearing?

You know you have one. The Muslim women wear the burqa and believe it or not, they take pictures while in those veils. They know what they look like, but they leave it for the society to paint a caricature of the person behind the burqa. It is very clear for some like the Muslim women who wear the burqa, but it is also perceptible with the politicians and other hypocrites. They all have two faces that they wear one in public and a different one in private. The majority wear a mask that no one sees.

Mr. Hooper in The Minister's Black Veil said "I, perhaps, like most other mortals, have sorrows dark enough to be typified by a black veil." Mr. Hooper is positing here that everyone has a secret sin that they hide from the society. It may not be too true, but it is not far from the truth, and it should not be like this. Why do people put on the mask? If a Christian still has secret sins that are hidden from others, then he/she has not come to full transformation.

Another story again from Hawthorne is Young Goodman Brown (YGB). When the book opens, Young Goodman Brown believes in who the people say they are until he makes the grim discovery in the Forest. He describes his wife Faith in these words “Well, she’s a blessed angel on earth; and after this one night, I’ll cling to her skirts and follow her to Heaven.” The way the wife was acting, he felt like if parousia came, he will hold her skirt, and she will drag him into heaven. Those whom he thought were the perfect Christians were really hypocrites who wined and dined with the devil in the dance of the forest. After he met her partaking in the evil forest, he cried “"My Faith is gone! There is no good on earth; and sin is but a name. Come, devil; for to thee is this world given."

This is what happens nowadays. Social media especially are places where people create their own avatars or even doppelganger according to the prescription of the society. That is why some of them take brushed up pictures to place on their profiles and praises start pouring in. “Oh, you look beautiful”. “Oh, you are great”! “Oh, a happy couple”! “Oh, you are such a nice family”! They know that their family is falling apart. They know that they are not the skinny athletic girl they parade on their profile. They know that they are not the happy couple their picture shows. They know that they do not want people to see them in real life, yet for a moment, it makes them feel good and the hero or heroine of the society. They are wearing a mask. Nevertheless, they know who they are behind that mask. Yes, they know themselves!

The reason why Hawthorne became critical of the Christians was because his father was a preacher, and he had seen too much of their hypocrisy. Election Clearance Sale language and Pulpit Talk are now common amongst people. Gaddafi explained to us about Election Clearance Sale. He said that “it is an election lie. A person lies and lies to people just so that they will vote him. Later on when they ask him you promised us this and that. He will say no, it was just election propaganda”. A preacher was grilled as an idle listener of his own sermons, and he said it was “mere pulpit talk”. On the pulpit he is very holy, but off the pulpit he is sinful.

Those who have read the book The Whiteman of God, will understand when Big Fadda unmasks the shigwala, and finds his leading convert behind the mask. This is the biggest problem today with not only Christianity but also humanity where people are not what you think they are.

I remember I was friends on Facebook with a lady who wrote that she wanted us to use a second name because her real name did not permit her to make personal comments as a public officer. I told her that every politician wears a mask. Which name does she want to use to deceive us with? She got angry and unfriended me. She knew that what she meant was I want a name that I can deceive you all and will not matter anyway.

Does the church and society know you as a devoted husband, but you are fathering out of wedlock, or are you the devoted mother with a sancho? Are you the person people know you to be, or you bear two names? They know you as a great guy, but you are a murderer; a serial killer. Man may not know who you really are, but God knows each and everyone of us and will bring us to judgment. It is not normal to have a skeleton in your closet, and it is hypocritical to wear a veil. It is two-faced to present a perfect picture to the world of what you are not. Therefore, I urge you today to be what people know of you so that the picture God has of you will be the same person the society knows. If you have been living a double life, it is time for you to confess and forsake the duplicity. Take off your mask now in Jesus name and confess your sins so that you will obtain mercy. Yes, take off that veil now!

Who Should Rule Cameroon?

I hear every where about future presidents having received awards and having a lot of connections. To receive awards does not mean that a politician is ready to rule or will make a great president. To be a good leader does not warrant you to own an enterprise because great leaders of the world who made economic miracles were neither CEOs nor economists. You do not even need to be too learned. You need to be a man of Character though that does not entail perfection. The new crop of politicians: Kah Walla and Ayah Paul in addition to these dotards of Paul Biya, Fru Ndi, Bello Bouba, Jean Jacques Ekindi, Adamou Ndam Njoya should be regarded as unworthy for the Cameroon presidency.

Franklin Roosevelt was a “C” student[1] who had a background in law rather than economics and management. Konrad Adenauer who was the architect of the German economic miracle from the doldrums of World War II was a trained lawyer and politician. He was never a CEO of any company nor has he ever been a manager of a any organization. General McArthur who did almost the same thing in Japan by overseeing economic, political and social changes was a trained military officer and not an economist or corporate officer. Unlike his successor-Quattara who is a professional economist and has started with international Loans, Laurent Gbagbo of Ivory Coast did not borrow money from anywhere to manage Ivory Coast for the ten years that he ruled that country despite being a history professor. Come back to the US and you are no more any stranger to Bill Clinton. He was a trained lawyer and not an economist or CEO. Dr Ba U under whose stewardship Burma now called Myamar began her own currency was a trained lawyer and judge. The above examples dispel the fallacy that one needs to be a former CEO or manager to be an effective president or ruler. Nelson Mandela and Golda Meir are two other great leaders we cannot afford the luxury to sidestep, yet neither held a top managerial position before becoming president or premier respectfully.

On the contrary, George Bush (43^rd US President) was a Co-owner of Texas Rangers Baseball team, but I am sure that we all can humbly accept that he did not fare well economically.

Unemployment is 24% in Cameroon, so every politician must have a concise plan on how to reduce and wipe it out. Someone like Kah Wallah instead has been talking only about her having connections. In the world of today, no investor will invest without the purport of maximizing profits. Consequently, we see a new Cameroon going for sale to the highest bidder if Kah Walla becomes the president.

When Kah Walla declared her presidency, she did not have a party knowing fully well that one must belong to a party. Realizing she cannot run without having a political party, she joined one. She is a political hireling and an opportunist whose sole aim is to become president. For someone who cared for the people, she should have been somewhere or created her own party before declaring her candidacy. This shows that she is not a team player. Perhaps she will convince us better and later, but for now; she lacks that presidential acumen. Suffer it that we look at some qualities that African presidents need to turn around their economies and improve their countries.

Peaceful

There are qualities that one can glean in a good leader. In our present world, war and bombs are not signs of good leadership. Einstein once said about Gandhi in theses terms "Taken on the whole, I would believe that Gandhi's views were the most enlightened of all the political men of our time. We should strive to do things in his spirit: not to use violence for fighting for our cause, but by non-participation of anything you believe is evil." —Albert Einstein, 1950. Therefore, any African leader whose only way to power is war should not be supported by the people. Why are there no more Satyagrahas? Where have civil disobedience marches gone to? The most efficient weapon against oppression is to refuse to cooperate with the oppressor. Rather than buy salt from the British, Gandhi walked miles to the sea and collect his own salt.

Truthful and Honest

Great leaders should be able to tell their countries the truth when they need to hear the truth like Franklin Roosevelt did during his first inaugural address of March, 1933[2]. Great leaders are not ones who terrorize their people with fear so they would count on them as the Deuse-Ex Machina.

Team Player

In Mandela’s words:

A leader is like a shepherd. He stays behind the flock, letting the most nimble go out ahead, whereupon the others follow, not realizing that all along they are being directed from behind."[3] —Nelson Mandela.

A leader or president is not an eternal king. Simply because you are the president or leader does not mean you are omniscient; it simply means that the people have selected you to guide and lead them because there can only be one captain in a ship. When a politician like Paul Ayah refuses to join other opposition leaders to make a peaceful protest on bases that time was not yet ripe yet he is campaigning to remove the current president, tells you that he is not a team player and; perhaps a premonition of autocracy and tyranny.

Independent Minded

The leader that will take Cameroon and Africa from the current conundrum must be independent minded. “The best kind of leader: one who creates independence, not dependence." —Steinem (1992)[4]. All these Cameroonian and African leaders rushing to the West to solicit support should tell you they are ready to sell the country. You cannot harvest their support without promising to hand them part of the natural resources. Cameroon and Africa need an honest politician who is independently minded and not a poster child who brags about begging from the West. Any Cameroonian or African politician who gloats about bringing foreign aid rather than talking about developing the resources of Cameroon and Africa despite Cameroon being rich in natural resources should be ignored. Such politicians visit Europe and America more than they visit their own constituency in Cameroon. He or she must set blueprint on how to extirpate corruption, poor governance, the aloofness of the Cameroonian Diaspora and other vices bedeviling the country and continent. We need presidents who will boost the private sector rather than destroy it like Biya has done for the past 29 years.

Effective Communication.

It is said of the former Israeli premier:

Mrs. Meir had a gift for making complex issues appear simple and expressing her views in plain but emotional terms: 'Our generation reclaimed the land, our children fought the war and our grandchildren should enjoy the peace.' Even when she spoke to an audience of thousands, it could sound as though she was speaking in her living room[5].

The majority of the most successful leaders had a common trait: their desire to see the betterment of mankind. The common good outweighed their private interests. In that case, no leader will desire ruling the same organization for more than 12 years. Therefore, the current crop of politicians in Cameroon: Biya, Fru Ndi, Paul Aya, Bello Bouba, Fomouyoh, Jean Jacque Ekindi, Adamu Ndam Njoya are from the word go unfit for the presidency and should be sidestepped for someone who truly cares for the country. Not only the fact that of them mentioned above are already too old, they are repleted with serious character issues. Gerontocracy was in mode perhaps because age meant wisdom, but nowadays with all the diseases, age is tied to dementia and alzheimer than with wisdom.

Until then, the wrong president will take you back 50 more years.

The Lord Is MY Shepherd: What It truly Means.

Every Christian can tell you something about the verse the “Lord is my shepherd I shall not want”. My task today is to create a mental picture of this verse. I will start by defining two words: “shall” and “want” that will be capital in the development of our lesson. “Shall” in legal settings general denotes mandatory and imperative action. The word “want” as used in this passage means lack. It is synonymous to the word need and not want in economics. In other words; the verse should read and mean this “the Lord is my shepherd, and I will never lack the necessities”. This theory is sustained by Paul’s letter to the Philippians “But my God shall supply all your NEED according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). The psalmist goes further to sustain his declaration by saying “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread” (Psalm 37:25). However, there seems to be a conflict between prescription and description because we see fervent Christians lacking what we consider the basics amenities of life. If not does every Christian have everything they need? Why not?

If God was going to provide for everything we need then Jesus would not have said that “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God”(Mt 4:4). This is because Jesus came more for the spiritual man with whom he will build the spiritual kingdom. Even the most righteous person on this earth does not receive all their wishes or have everything they wish for. As a result, the Christian must know that their spirit will always be fed even if their body is hungry. Actually at times in fasting, the spirit is fortified ready for spiritual warfare than when the body is strong and well-fed. If God was to provide everything we need then he would not have asked us to pray for our daily bread.

Many Christians have taken this verse to mean that everything they want, they will receive and whatever they name and claim, they will receive. This has resulted in a lot of frustration from discouragement to total backsliding of the faithful. Walk with me gradually as I take the pain to start painting the image I promised you earlier.

When a shepherd has his sheep, he looks for green grass. In search of greener pastures many Christians moved to the US. Would anyone tell me if the most psiritual of them recieves everything they ask from God? He knows where the grass is green and knows where we can find food if there is nothing around us. Many do not count on God for their provisions. They believe in their strength though they are Christians. God has only good plans for us. The shepherd does not always provide his sheep with immediate food. At times they have to walk for long to find food. During this time that they are walking like that, they are feeling very sad and dejected. It is the same with humans.

As I was growing up, shepherds took their cattle and trekked from Kousseri to Mamfe (587 miles) to sell them. During their journey, the shepherd took their sheep where they could eat and drink water. At times they came to cities that did not have anything for the cattle to eat and drink. The sheep will be going through this period of trial and perseverance until they came to a place where they could find something to eat.

One thing we must note is that the Lord will always provide our basic needs. But if he does not do it, He will know how to make us navigate through the dearth or scarcity. Always count on God for whatever you need. He knows best the things that are best for you. The Lord has lived your future, so he knows about it than you know anything about it. If you make him your shepherd, he will help you go through scarcity with joy. So let me ask you this: who is your shepherd? Are you counting on human beings? They will fail you.

Until then, make the Lord your shepherd and you shall not want.

21. When you when you have a personal time of prayer.

22. When you fast.

23. When you do not live for materials things.

24. When rather WORRY for future, you trust God.

25. When you do not judge with partiality.

26. When you discern false prophets.

27. When you do not teach things you do not do.

28. When you do not flatter people.

29. When you do not always seek to rule others.

30. When you fight for marginalized.

31. When you do not only show your righteousness in public.

32. When you do not only respect portions of the Bible that support your behavior.

33. When you like to assemble with other Christians.

Until then, let the Christians act Christian and the world will be transformed.

Karma: Real or Fake?

I am sure you have heard of karma. Karma simply posits that everyone will be rewarded in this world or the world to come with the same actions-good or bad they gave others. There is a popular Latin
expression caveat emptor-meaning “buyers beware”. Most religions: Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism teach this theosophy. When you go to an auction, you will see cars with the sign “buy as is”. That is to make sure the buyer assumes the responsibility of what they are buying because the goods may be defective. Yet, many people buy goods that come to hunt them later because they say in their hearts “aut viam inveniam aut faciam”, meaning; “I will either find a way or make one”. Indeed, many people engage in evil even though they know that the evil that human beings do will live with them and after them. I am going to cite you a few modern and recent examples so that as you engage in evil, you will know that evil is so faithful that it never sleeps outside. It will always come back home. Many people burst the dam to sweep the neighbor’s house but forget that theirs is on the path of the water.

Julia Aggippina killed Claudius to enthrone his adopted son. He too will later kill his mother
for reminding him that without her, he would not have had the throne. When Ronald Regan was voted president, the new president immediately cut funding for the National Institute of Mental Health which was researching dementia later called Alzheimer. Though he will later restore the funding, he was killed by Alzheimer. Evil is like rain; it falls on everyone’s house who lives in that area.

Oswald Harvey killed President Kennedy and while still in custody, he was shot himself by
Jack Ruby. The latter was rushed to the same hospital that President Kennedy was rushed to, but 48 hours later, he died. [1] If you seize someone’s husband, another lady will do same. If no one does it, nature has a way of retribution, at times with unhappiness the whole marriage long.

No one plants apples to reap mangoes, for you will only reap what you sowed. If I ended here
without giving you three modern examples, then this article will be incomplete. Ibrahim Coulibaly was the notorious Ivory Coast serial coup plotter who was the ex-bodyguard of Allassane Quattara. In 1999, he led a coup that reinstalled Robert Guei as president. In 2002, he led a failed coup against Laurent Gbagbo, and in 2004, he fled into exile. He resurfaced in 2011 and joined the Quattara rebels in collusion and connivance with the UNO and French forces to oust Laurent Gabgbo- the constitutionally elected president of Ivory Coast. In April 27,2011 after refusing to disarm to the Quattara rebels, he was gunned down by Guillaume Soro’s men to fulfill Jesus words “ for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword” (Mt 26:52).

Another person who seems to have the boomerang effect of evil is Blaise Compaore. As I write right now his country is being set ablaze. Because he is the western myrmidon and peon, the western media has refused to inform their people. Compaore came to power on October 15, 1987 after killing his best friend Sankara, the then president. He will help to destabilize the entire region on the orders of his master, France. His footprints were on the Congo civil war, Rwandan genocide, Liberia and Sierra Leonean wars and now Ivory Coast. But since evil is faithful, the police and army are rioting now in his country and the populace is marching for him to go.

Another young monster has been Jonathan Badluck or Goodluck. He helped to destabilize Ivory Cost and kidnapped a legitimate constitutionally elected president. Immediately after his election as the president of Nigeria, more than 1000 Nigerians were killed, and more than 65 churches were burnt.

The Bible says “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets” (Mt 7:12). Whatever evil you are sowing in
people’s lives, you will reap it too. If you swindle from someone, someone too will swindle from you or your family. Evil never leaves its source. If you cheat on God (premarital sex), no matter who you marry, the man will cheat on you too unless you repent of your sin. If you cheat someone, another person too will cheat you. Go ahead and keep up with your evil; it will soon catch up with you too.

Therefore, if you do not want evil to visit you, do not do evil to anyone. Some people do evil like racism and because they are not caught they think they have gone free. But nature has visited them with some terrible sicknesses and calamities that they cannot understand why them.

Laurent Gbagbo: A Victim of African Cyclicism!

I want to show you what the UN, French, CIA operatives and Quattara forces did in Ivory Coast just to unseat Laurent Gbagbo-a constitutionally elected president. The French deny their direct involvement in the capture of Laurent Gbagbo. The fact that the French and UN forces bombarded the presidency with heavy artilleries even though they knew that there were all these young girls inside that building was more than a crime against humanity. Many innocent kids holding mere clubs lost their lives. When the UN that was created to defend truth and protect the oppressed people of the world claims that the Red Cross and BBC are lying about the death count in Duekoue and Abidjan in particular and Ivory Coast in General, then the moral foundations of the UN need to be relaid again. Gbagbo was indirectly kidnapped that afternoon by French and UN forces who handed him to rebels because they used their tanks and helicopter gunships to silence the Ivorian Army. Nonetheless, it is premature and a sign of premonition to claim victory when the war has just begun. It will be long and dreary, but Ivory Coast will appear triumphant because the revolution is not Gbagbo’s; it is that of the masses.

Three years after Gbagbo won the elections having served close to 30 years in the opposition, Quattara used rebels to overthrow the president in a coup, but it failed. The country remained divided. He was to rule for 5 years. When 5 years reached, they said he should organize elections; he refused stating that he was not allowed to complete his mandate. The country still stayed divided. Peace accords were signed, and the rebels were asked to disarm and join the government. That is how the UN forces and French forces found themselves in Ivory Coast in that number. Gbagbo fulfilled his own part of the negotiations, but the rebels did not though they joined the government and Guillaume Soro became the prime minister. They did not disarm and did not hand over parts of the northern territory that fell into their hands. During these years, the UNO and French forces were still stationed in Ivory Coast, but they did not do anything to disarm the rebels or to bring peace. Instead they colluded and connived with the rebels to unseat president Laurent Gbagbo.

During these elections, the electoral committee was to announce the results in 72 hours without which it will be incumbent upon the Constitutional Council (equivalent to US Supreme Court) to do it. After 72 hours, the French and American ambassadors took the chairman of the electoral committee-Youssouf Bakayoko to the headquarters of Quattara (Gbagbo’s opponent) at the Golf Hotel from whence he will announce the results. Remember that his mandate to announce the results has expired! The international community bewitched by France bought into their lies and made Gabgbo a gorgon. In unison and little whispers, their media cried “Gabgbo must go. He is killing his own people.” How can the results be announced in the headquarters of one of the candidates? Even if they were to announce the results, why did they leave their own headquarters? Did you know that the US had the same stalemate in 2000, but they allowed the Supreme Court that serves like the Ivorian Constitutional Council to decide? Would you have loved for Russia to invade the US and install their candidate Al Gore?

Comparing Gbagbo with other dictators seems people do not know both people. For example; a dictator like Paul Biya of Cameroon was never in the opposition and has never fought for democracy . Instead he has fought against it and taken many lives. He was left with a flamboyant and buoyant economy which he has shredded into tatters. Biya has foreign bank accounts to hoard embezzled money, but Gbagbo has none. Biya repressed the masses; Gbagbo encouraged multipartism and was even jailed by Quattara. For ten years, Gbagbo never borrowed money from any country to help Ivory Coast, but Biya has sold us into slavery already. Any day from now, your women and sisters will be shipped to the various men to pay for those debts. You cannot even compare both people because one (Biya) is the cousin of the devil, and the other (Gbagbo) is the cousin of Jesus. Note that the Ivoirian crisis is cyclicsm at its best.

In 1960, The Belgians and UN kidnapped Lumumba and handed him to Moise Tshombe his opponent. In 2011, The French and UN kidnapped Gbagbo and hnaded him to Quattara his opponent. They just missed one little reminder; the patricians today will be the plebeians tomorrow. A kenyang proverb says: "if a child does not inquire what killed his father, the same thing will kill him too." Except Africans become conscious, they pave the way for another Slave Trade.

The Ivoirian slavery has just begun. The French are lending Quattara 400 millions Euros; meanwhile, Gbagbo ruled the same country without taking a dime from these taskmasters. Quattara will now sell their wives and daughters since he has killed all the men. I expose, and you be the judge. Watch this slideshow and tell me if you still want to be neutral.

If you doubted that Quattara is making Ivory Coast an abattoir, you should doubt no more. As you know, Yahoo has never written anything in favor of Gbagbo and if they are doing so now, you must know it is in its excess. So read and decide. If you are a Christian or value human life, call your senator and tell them what is happening.

The Quattara appointed ambassador to Ivory Coast-Ali Coulibaly accused the Christians for rejecting Quattara; but it is God who has rejected him as a murderer. His statement inflamed the already incendiary situation and the northern rebels mostly Muslims went on the rampage shelling Churches and charring Christians with the pretext they were looking for weapons.

Before you start to doubt who is committing the atrocities look at their uniforms very well. In Duekoue for example, the Gabgbo forces used to hold the town. When it fell into rebels hands, the the rebels annihilated almost everyone including pregnant women and children (see slideshow above). The men were summarily executed (Picture 30,31,32). The rebels, the French, and UN were jugulating every human on their path.
After the fall of the presidency into rebels’ hands, three of Gabgbo's ministers were assassinated while in custody. You can see Jean-Jacques Bechio; Gbagbo's UNO ambassador being beaten at the Gulf Hotel. You can see him being beaten mercilessly. (Picture 2). As you look further, you will see the rebels pulling off First lady Simone Gbagbo’s hair from the root of her hair (Picture 9). As I write right now, the rebels are moving from village to village doing ethnic and religious cleansing. This is exactly why African presidents fear to leave power. Africans must refrain from applying lex talionis and poetic justice. You see that even if you leave power, your opponents will still pursue you. Biya can rest assured that, if I remove him, I will neither pursue him nor his family.

I cannot believe hearing people saying rather than stand and fight to protect their lives and that of their families they should go and pray. It sounds like the Jannes and Jambres doctrine. Faith without works is dead faith brethren. If you have faith that God will defend your fatherland, you must go out there and give your all, and God will do the rest. Woe is you if you surrender as a coward and are jugulated like a sacrificial lamb!
Freedom has never been served on a Joyful plate: it has always been served in a platter of tears. Although the road is always long and dreary, it is never an endless journey. Ivoirians must stand up to Obama, Sarkozy and UN to the last man and last bullet lest they render of non effect the blood of Um Nyobe, Lumumba, Sankara , and the many patriots whose blood has been spilled these days.

Freedom though may crawl like a snail or walk slowly like a tortoise, it will always reach its destination. Every Ivoirian who has lost a family member or property should sue France and UNOCI. They can group themselves and make a class action lawsuit. You can sue in France (especially), Europe or even US. In addition, struggle and enter Europe or US and file for refugee status or asylum.

Tell the inept African Union that it is callous cowardice for the house dog to sit unconcerned while the goat bleats at strangers. It would seem as though apart from a few Africans, the rest have evil spirits. Who is that man with a clean spirit who will treat a woman not to talk of one the age of his mother like the way those rebels treated Simone Gbagbo? All those rebels need to be castrated for dishonoring this princess thanks to Obama, Sarkozi and Ban Ki Moon. The Ivory Coast residuals will raise more pirates than before. My check 10 years ago is still being cashed by innocent tourists because conflicts around the gulf of Africa leave orphans and hopelessness.

Although Quattara people are massacring pro-Gbagbo people right now in Abidjan and other towns, Obama, Sarkozy and Ban Ki Moon are directly responsible. Their blood should be on their heads.Nonetheless, I encourage all the Christians in Ivory Coast to start preaching on forgiveness and reconciliation so that the Ivoirians should avert and overcome the temptation to apply lex talionis to stop this wanton destruction of human lives because human life has no carbon copy. "This French Colonialism must end affirms" Senator Inhofe.

Three thieves had stolen things, and they felt that the best place to share their booty was in the graveyard since it was quiet and calm at night. When they reached there, they hid themselves in the bush, and one of them heard a voice. There were two people sharing things in the graveyard. His partner explained that “c’est le Diable et Dieu qui partagent les morts” (it is God and the Devil sharing the dead). They listened and listened attentively as the sharing continued. Un pour moi, un pour toi (One for me, one for you). One for me, one for you and one for me, one for you. It went on and on like that for about 15 minutes then one of the sharers said “je prend ceux deux ci, et tu prends les trois autres.” It means; I take these two, and you take those other three. The guys in the bush thought that he was referring to them, so you make your guess. They ran helter-skelter. The question now is who do you think were sharing things in the graveyard? If it happened that you died today, and God and the devil were to share the dead, who do you think will own you? You cannot be unclaimed, for one of them must take you.

Many people are waiting for the end of the world, but the end of the world will come at anytime for everyone. If you die today, your world has come to an end, and you will only be waiting for the Judgment Day. If you do not die today, then you will wait till Jesus comes back and end this world. No matter when and how you die, your soul will be up for division. It must be owned by one person: either God or the Devil.

The Devil is known to own the souls of wicked people where he lives with them in hell and torment their souls day and night. There will be wailing and gnashing of the teeth. Your soul will no more die, and the fire is never quenched. It is called eternal damnation. If you are killig people or helping others to kill people, your soul will go to the Devil. If yo are doing bad things, the Devil will pick your soul. If you are so selfsih like the guy below, then the devil will own your soul.

On the other hand, God takes only godly people with him to heaven. So we may want to ask what godliness is then. Godliness is to obey God’s word. Before Jesus left for heaven, he asked all of us to do two things: Love God with all our being and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. So are we loving God or are we loving the things of the world? He that loves the things of the world makes himself /herself an enemy of God. If you become an enemy of God, God will not take your soul to heaven. There will be no more tears or sorrow; it is joy and joy everyday of eternity. There will not be any sickness there; no divorce, no death, and no politics. If you give your life to Christ first so that whatever good deeds you do he will sanctify them, your soul will go to God. If you see someone suffering and you help them, your soul will be picked by God. If you give food to those who are hungry, clothes to those who are naked, and health to those who are sick, God will pick your soul.

It is important to note that your good deeds alone will not give you salvation; you must confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead for you to be saved. Furthermore, simply because you are saved does not mean you should live any how; you will not also go to heaven.

On the last day when souls will be shared between the Satan and God, your soul will go to the devil because you did only the things that the devil wanted. If you did only the things that God wanted, your soul will go to God. So I ask you today; who do you want to own your soul on the last day? You will only decide that with your lifestyle.

Until then, I want God to be the owner of my soul on the last day.

Jonathan Goodluck : Africa's Badluck

Jonathan Goodluck seems a physically tall man, but his actions in Ivory Coast look like that of a dwarf. Please may someone tell him that. For an Ijaw man who has tasted the evil of civil war and bloodshed to take innocent Nigerians to be slaughtered the way I have seen in videos and pictures, one has to worry and worry greatly if he will be able to rule Nigeria independently. One thing he should remember is that, when you are setting fire in a neighbor’s house, you should remember it may cross over to yours too. My late father used to say that “son, evil does not sleep outside; it is so faithful that it must always return home to its master.” I will tell the Ivoirians not to cry, for that same seed he is sowing in Ivory Coast today to please his western masters will one day germinate and grow healthily in Nigeria too because the evil that men and women do, live with them and after them.Encore plus TV :: L'avenir de l'information French army positioning the rebels. What business has the French Government got to be fighting in Ivory Coast? Is that still the UN mandate? I don’t know if Sarkozy is merely physically and mentally short too, but one thing I know is that his actions in Ivory Coast are not tall at all.

Perhaps it is expedient that you know that Quattara’s wife-Dominique Nouvain whose parents are Jewish was born in Algeria in December 1953 in Algeria (French Oversea territory); thus, has French nationality. She knew Bamba Mousa –ex minister of higher education through whom she met Abdoulaye Fadiga the ex governor of Banque Centrale Des Etats de L’Afrique de L’Ouest (BCEAO-Central Bank of West African States) and became his “good friend” too. The latter introduced her to Allassane Quattara who was the vice governor of BCEAO. It is alleged that though she kept the three beds, she finally married Allasanne Quattara with whom they formed the evil duo to convert the Ivoirian presidential seat. Watch pro-Quattara people burning Christians and pro-Gbagbo people alive, yet he claims nothing happened!<p$1>
The UNO acknowledges that in the night breaking to the April 1, 2011, more than 800 people died in Duékoué alone-a rebel stronghold. We may approximate same or higher figures in San Pedro, Daloa, and Abengourou. Let us not forget that the French claimed to have lost 16 men and from a video that I saw, Abidjan was equally bloody or even bloodier than the other cities. Take note that Gbagbo’s forces are still reluctant pushing the trigger into a civil war; they are merely exercising self defense while the rebels backed by French and UNO forces fight alongside them.

In all of this, one may understand that the French are like parasites; they have always lived off other countries; especially FrancAfrique, but I don’t know why Goodluck Jonathan (whose parents seem to have made a mistake naming him goodluck, for he seems now like badluck to Africa) should join in slaughtering these innocent people of Ivory Coast. This is pure recolonization of a sovereign country just for the sake of oil and cocoa. If anyone; if at all anyone should support such evil, it should not have been Goodluck Jonathan.

Monsieur le Président Obama, je vois quelque chose de louche avec cette vidéo. De prime abords, vous avez soutenu Quattara parce qu'il est marié à une femme juive qui a des liens avec George Soros l'agent britannique qui dirige votre campagne. La Côte-d'Ivoire n'est ni à vendre ni vendu aux enchères au meilleur payant. L'ONU n'a pas réussi à désarmer les rebelles de la Côte-d'Ivoire ; au contraire, ils ont été réarmés par l'ONU et donner un grand soutien pour tuer les Ivoiriens, au cours du quel, les atrocités ont été attribués à Gbagbo et ses partisans. Ce qui se passe en Côte-d'Ivoire est une lutte entre le bien et le mal, une lutte entre le néo-colonialisme et le nationalisme. Si non, comment peut-on expliquer que selon L’ONU et les Occident, la majorité des ivoiriens ont voté Quattara, mais la même majorité se rassemble quotidiennement; jour et nuit à faire le plancher de béton pour leurs lits et le ciel leurs draps juste pour soutenir Gbagbo l'homme que l'Occident dit qu’il a perdu les élections et le soutien de son peuple?

Si Laurent Gbagbo a commis un crime, c'est qu'il a refusé de faire de la Côte-d'Ivoire la vache a lait de la France et myrmidons de l'Ouest. Si le peuple de la Côte-d'Ivoire ont commis un crime que l'Occident planifie afin de les abattre maintenant comme les poulets dans l'abattoir, c'est parce qu'ils ont décidé de choisir Gbagbo comme leur président. Quel est le problème quand un peuple souverain élire leur propre chef? Toutes les sanctions mises en place sont contre l'homme de la rue en Côte-d'Ivoire et non pas contre n'importe qui. Au contrarie, L’ONU devrait plutôt sanctionner Quattara et ses proches et non Gbagbo- l’homme du peuple.

Depuis quand le gouvernement américain a commencé a soutenir les rebelles officiellement? On voit un grand tournant tous ces jours-ci comment les rebelles sont soutenus avec le prétexte d'imprégner la démocratie. N'est-ce pas un nouveau format pour un changement de régime? J’espère qu'ils seront en mesure de collecter les armes des mains de tous ces rebelles qui sont armées. Malheureusement, l'histoire a montré que lorsque les rebelles ont été armés, il est difficile de les désarmer, car tout le monde ne sortira de la guerre ou de conflit heureux et comme ils ont été formés pour tuer pour gagner leurs vies, ils vont continuer avec leur bon travail de tuer pour survivre.

La démocratie n'est pas un T-shirt avec une taille qui suffit tous qui est fabriquée au Etats-Unis et distribuée par la Grande-Bretagne et la France. Nous sommes témoins que cette même T-shirt n’a pas suffit le peuple de l'Irak et a était la taille su moyens du peuple de l'Afghanistan, peu importe comment ils ont été contraints de le porter. Soit il était trop petit en Irak ou trop grand en Afghanistan.

Aujourd'hui, nous fabriquons le même tee-shirt à la Libye et il semble qu'il ne peut aussi correspondre à la population de la Libye. Comment se fait t-il que la population du Yémen et à Bahreïn qui veulent vraiment le t-shirt ne l’ont pas? Au contraire, avec la collusion et connivence avec l'Arabie Saoudite, le vrai peuple qui devait le porter sont abattus comme des moutons à l'abattoir. Pourquoi ne vous donner pas ce fameux T-shirt de démocratie à la population du Yémen et à Bahreïn. Malheureusement les Etats-Unis et les autres veulent qui marchent nu quand bien meme qu'ils aiment le T-shirt et ils pleurent même que c’est même leur taille. Ne sont-ils pas dignes de porter ce one-size-fit-tout? Il est claire que si le peuple coude ca eux même selon leur taille comme en Tunisie , ils seront heureux et sans une bataille sanglante.

La Côte d'Ivoire sera un piège pour Obama et bourbier s'il intervient de loin ou de proche comme beaucoup le savent que les forces spéciales américaines se sont infiltrés dans le pays. Si L’Occident force Quattara sur le trône présidentielle, il peut tout aussi bien être une promenade, car celui qui pense qu'il est à la tête, mais il n'y a personne qui le suit derrière est tout simplement entrain de faire une promenade. Pour l'instant, en voyants Gbagbo puet ton dire qui est à la tête et qui ne fait que prendre une promenade. Pour une fois, je plaide avec le gouvernement américain de ne pas sacrifier les Ivoiriens innocents comme garantie de l'amitié personnelle. La vie humaine n'a pas de copie et de récupération destructive ne fonctionne pas ici!

Ivory Coast Is Not For Sale

Mr. President Obama, I see something dubious with this video. Ab initio, you have supported Quattara because he is married to a Jewish woman who has ties with George Soros the British Agent who runs your campaign. Ivory Coast is neither for sale nor shall it be auctioned to the highest bidder. Since when has the US government started supporting rebels? What a great turn around that all these days only rebels are being supported with the pretext to permeate democracy. Isn’t this a new format for regime change? All these rebels they are arming, I hope they will be able to collect the weapons back tomorrow. Unfortunately, history has shown that once rebels have been armed, it is difficult to disarm them, for not everyone will come out of the war or conflict happy and since they have been trained to kill to make a living, they will continue with their good job.

The UN has failed to disarm the rebels of Ivory Coast; instead they were rearmed by the UN and greatly supported to kill Ivoirians, during which time the atrocities were attributed to Gbagbo and his supporters. What is happening in Ivory Coast is a fight between good and evil; a fight between neocolonialism and nationalism. How could Ivory Coast have voted the majority Quattara, yet the same majority rallies daily; day and night making the concrete floor their beds and the sky their coverings just to support Gbagbo the man the West alleges lost elections and the support of this people?

If Laurent Gbagbo has committed any crime, it is that he has refused to make Ivory Coast the milky-cow of France and her Western surrogates. If the people of Ivory Coast have committed any crime that the West plans to slaughter them now as chicken in the slaughter house is because they have decided to select Gbagbo as their leader. What is wrong when a sovereign people elect their own leader?All the sanctions put in place are against the common man in Ivory Coast and not against anyone. Those sanctions should rather have been placed against Quattara and not against Gbagbo.

Democracy is not a one size fit all garment made in America. This T-shirt called Democracy made in America and distributed by Britain and France did not fit the people of Iraq and had not fitted the people of Afghanistan no matter how they were forced to wear it. Either it was too small in Iraq or too big in Afghanistan. Now we are taking the same T-shirt to Libya and it seems it may not also fit the people of Libya. How come the US is not giving it to the people of Yemen and Bahrain who truly want that t-shirt? Instead in collusion and connivance with Saudi Arabia, the real people who suppose to wear it are slaughtered like sheep in the abattoir. Why are you telling the people to Yemen and Bahrain to walk naked when they love that one size fit all garment called democracy made in the US? Aren’t they worthy to wear that one-size-fit-all too? When the people cut it according to their size like in Tunisia, they will wear it without bloodshed.

Ivory cost will be a booby-trap and quagmire for Obama whether he intervenes directly or by proxy as many know that US special forces have infiltrated into the country. If you force Quattara unto he throne, he may just as well be taking a walk because he that thinks he is leading but there is no one following him behind is merely taking a walk. For now, Gbagbo’s following should tell you who is leading and who is merely taking a walk. For once, I plead with the American government not to sacrifice innocent Ivoirians as collaterals of personal friendship. Human life has no carbon copy and destructive recovery does not work here!

Until then, Obama, leave the people of Ivory Coast alone!

Cameroon: No Armed Robbers Were Killed By Speedboat!: Biya’s Government Cooking Up More Stories.

I urge you not to believe the report that anyone was killed in the high sea. These are all bundles of fabrications neatly interwoven by the government to defend itself for the lack of security bedeviling our country today. Two recent incidents can add impetus to my assertion. The children who were recruited to carry a banner of youths thanking Mr. Biya for ruling for 29 years and providing 25, 000 recruitment openings in the public service, and the agitprops of the CPDM USA who though being only 25 of them as the pictures can show tried to con the world into believing that Cameroonians love and want Biya to rule. How much more with a situation that challenges national security if they can debase themselves to that level? Those are made up stories! These are the proofs!

Where are the bodies, and where is the money they retrieved from the arm robbers? It seems those tales a la Kontchou Komeni. Major Gen Mohamadou said “This is a warning to all, that anyone who dares such an act in Cameroon again will not run away - we will always catch up with them," Why did those in Limbe go free then? If in Yaoundé there are bracages how much more on the high sea or neighboring towns? Look at the lawlessness in front of the Gendamerie.

Permit me expose the lies therein. It takes six hours to reach Nigeria from that part of town by speed boat. Realizing that government security agents came late and in addition to that could only publish the news after more than 48 hours to say that the assailants have been killed tells you it is more or less government melodrama and histrionics. It takes six hours from Cameron to Nigeria, but it only takes two hours to enter into Nigerian waters from that part of town by speedboat. Consequently, it means that by the time they could react, the bandits had already entered Nigerian waters. But the story says that as the bandits were about to enter Nigerian waters.

As I told you all before, the government is using ruses to station the army everywhere and make Cameroon a police state. Why would it take two days to go after the bandits when it takes just minutes to go after unarmed prodemocracy marchers? It was not as if the authorities were not aware of the presence of these brigands because Bonaberi was cut off from Douala for 3 hours at Quatre Etages.

Therefore, my compatriots do not believe this story. If you are in Cameroon, and you want to vote for Biya, know that you are voting for insecurity. Any day any time the bank where your money is kept will be robbed. Anytime and any day, your relative will be killed by the government so that they will attribute it to bandits and escheat you of your freedom. No one should rely on the elections to remove Biya; ELECAM will not let you. ELECAM Is made up of only government myrmidons and turncoats. These are people who have sold their consciences and souls for Biya’s stolen money.

Young people, I can guarantee you that if Biya goes, Cameroon will become the paradise we knew before. Look; Cameroonians are now like vitrines of hunger and samples of a warzone without even fighting any.

Why would you believe Biya today when for 29 years he has showed you he is untrustworthy? Can he tell us what happened to his late wife: Mama Irene Biya (may her soul rest in peace)? Would you say that out of the 19 plus something millions of Cameroonians, even 3 millions want him to stay as president?

Don’t be late Cameroonians! Seize on the whirlwind and whirlpool of democracy blowing from North Africa to Central Africa ousting and off rooting all despots and autocrats de jure or de facto. I tell you that now is the time. You do it now and the world will be with you or later and do it on your own. Cameroonians, don’t believe that report; not even an iota of it is true.

Until then, be not deceived, for the devil sometimes tries to make himself an angel of light.

Biya’s Government: A Three Arm-Bandit!

The Cameroon government recently announced that it will be recruiting 25,000 qualified citizens into its public service. It is important to know that the government has destroyed the private sector to a point where it is the only source of employment for the people. The last bastion of foreign firms just announced they will be leaving by the end of 2011. So here the government finds itself desperate for cash and how to placate its own people. It has resorted to armed robbery. To tell you the government’s intention was and is sinister, it recruited primary school kids who are not even qualified for the jobs to hold a banner thanking the president. What good will those jobs do to those kids in this picture?

Just of recent, about 25 bandits encircled two banks for more than 2 hours where they robbed and killed nine people including the security guards and passersby. It is not just the robbing of the bank that worries everyone; it is how lackadaisical the police and government security forces took to come to the lieu of the attack. If it was armless protesters, the government would have dispatched 5 truckloads of mixed police and gendarmes but here is a case of national security being threatened. The citizens are killed, yet no one showed up and when they showed up, they hid themselves from the attackers. If the government’s hands were not there, what made them to take that long to come to the place? How come with such heavy exchange of fire, no government or assailant was killed and only passersby?

Many people believe that the assailants were government sponsored agents to bring fire into the people and facilitate the overwhelming police presence that will deter further protests like that one dispersed on the 23rd of February, 20011. If not how could 25 gun men rob two banks in the same spot for more than two hours and the government security agents come late ?

Apart from robbing the people at gun point, the government has also taken the blue collar heist. First it should be noted that for the 29 years of president Paul Biya being in power, it is the second time his government is making a drive like this to employ people into the public service something he should not have been worried about if he had good governance and better economic policies to lure in investors and create a stronger private sector. Look at the real jobseekers!

So to placate the restless youths who have graduated from college only to find unemployment staring them in the face, the government has launched a recruitment t of 25,000 youths. Now see where the government is going to rob these paupers. First, the general atmosphere of corruption means that there are many people whose files will not even be accepted until they bribe. But before they can compile a file, they will have to spend at least 12, 000 FCA. About five million Cameroonians will be applying for those positions because unemployment is about 30%. Now multiply 12, 000 times 5millions. It gives you six billions that will be entering into state’s coffers being enough for the government to run its state elections campaigns.

To show that this gesture is to help Cameroonians, the recruitment should be for free. As if not enough, those who are not recruited, they will not get a refund of the money they have spent. So actually the government has enough money to even pay the 25, 000 that have been recruited whether they go to work or not. Those certificates should just be copies and the government should take the burden of verifying if they are correct or not. But because Biya and his gangs are out to rob Cameroonians, they invented a new heist which they know that come what may, many will fall prey because there are many graduates that have not seen jobs for the past 10 years.

Until then, a president who steals from his people must go!

THE PITFALLS OF CAMEROON ROYAL COUNCIL?

The Cameroon Royal Council with the acronym (CAMROYALS) is supposed to be an organization exclusively for royals and not serfs mixed together. It is an agglomeration of all the Cameroon regal sons and daughters in the Diaspora of the USA. It neither replaces the ACCDF nor does it replace the North West Council Of Fons USA (NWCF). Because the organization is supposed to be apolitical, it has no bearings of politics. However, due to the need to organize its daily operations, offices will be established democratically. Those vying for offices must have royal blood flowing in them. The method to ascend and uphold an office is not hereditary but by democratical elections. Consequently, there is no turning of the clock behind here.

My only reservation has been making the ambassador the center of the evening. Perhaps it is founded considering that the CAMROYALS has as one of its objectives the need to see a better welfare for Cameroonians in the USA just as the fons and chiefs were supposed to do at home. They interceded for the subjects and to the government and hold the government accountable in case of failure. Thus, the picture of the Fon babysitting while the RN wife appears as the head of household can only be corrected with an organization like CAMROYALS that will inculcate the forgotten tradition. Furthermore, babysitting does not show that the Fon has lost his manhood or headship since it is supposed to be done by both parents anyway. More so, decisions making in a more functional family must be done by the consensus of both spouses and not unilaterally imposed only by the head of household. If you see something wrong with the Fon babysitting, then you are drawing us back to ancient days, and you should be right that CAMROYALS has no place because it has come to correct such vices too.

CAMROYALS is not to maintain fondoms, chiefdoms and lamibe; it is to enhance the culture so it is not forgotten. The NORTH West Council of chiefs is a regional organization as its name entails thus it deprives me a southwesterner of the collective nomenclature since I am from south west. Why and how should I be a member of the NWCF when I am from the South West? Should I then create a South West Council of Chiefs (SWCC)?

In the CAMROYALs, those aspects of particularity of the different regional traditional leadership will be respected. Even in Cameroon nowadays many fons have been shaking hands with people. The Fon in the Diaspora is not here to extend his fondom but to fight for his daily survival. CAAMROYALS is to help the fons and chiefs or regal sons and daughters not to forget their culture and to uphold them in the purest of manners possible. It is left to see what will become of the organization, for time will tell. As for now, it is wrong to crucify anyone without them sinning or supposing they will sin. The swords and daggers against this organization paint the caricature of a man who is being crucified without him sinning with the fear that he will sin in future. Such too is not a spirit of democracy we do so cherish and yearn for. Until it fails us, let us give it our support. This is a clarion call for all from Cameroon with regal blood to join this organization for now.

Until then, let us wait and see what becomes of the CAMROYALS.

The Accordion Of The Number Eleven?

I was just reading through the book of Luke and came across this, Luke 21: verses 10 and 11. It dawned on me that NY was hit on september 11, Haiti was hit on January 11 and Japan was hit on March 11. Are these catastrophes biblical revelations. This are lessons we need to learn that the date 11th is a significant date that needs to be looked at with a third eye. Bakoma Nanje.

The number eleven comes from Old English word endleofan meaning one left. In soccer there are eleven players because in England where soccer started, there used to be only 10 pupils in each class and each class plus the teacher played against the other class and their teacher. Again reiterating the notion of one left. What is then left? Let us go through the Bible to see the importance and implication of that number.

Jacob had 11 sons and his family was dysfunctional and disorganized. Here is a man who valued his life more than that of his family. He was to meet his supposed enemy; Esau, so he sent his family to go ahead first fearing for his own life. Thus the number eleven here depicts disorder. Would you say our world is now in order or disorder?

Joseph at 17 (the same age he was sold Gen 37:2, 36) had a dream, where eleven stars made obeisance to him. The eleven stars here represent his brothers. At the age of 30, he is brought before Pharaoh (Gen 41:46) to be his deputy. Since he was sold at age 17 and was made deputy at age 30, it means that he had spent all together 11 years excluding the 2 years he spent in the dungeon serving his false rape conviction (Gen 41:2). Those 11 years in Pharaoh’s house were years of trial. Thus the number eleven is a number of trials. Is the world going through trials with earthquakes and Tsunamis?

There were to be eleven curtains which would make an over spill in the Tabernacle (Ex 26:7-8; 36:14-15). Should we be surprised when water and blood are spilling every 11 of the month?

In numbers 29:20, there were to be 11 bullocks. It should be noted that there was a decrease in a number of bullocks sacrificed. Thus, the 11 there may signify a fall or depreciation. This correlates with the Second Law of Thermodynamics precisely the Law of Entropy generally known as the Law of Disorder. Our world is in a downward spiral.

In Deuteronomy 1:2, it is written “There are eleven days' journey from Horeb by the way of mount Seir unto Kadeshbarnea.”Robert Jamieson et al commented thus:

To show that the great number of years spent in travelling from Horeb to the plain of Moab was not owing to the length of the way, but to a very different cause; namely, banishment for their apostasy and frequent rebellions. ( Jamieson, Fausset and Brown.1871).

This world has gone astray and keeps rebelling before God. As such God is banishing mankind because of his rebellion. Thus the number eleven here stands for banishment .

In Joshua 15:51, 11 cities and their villages but there is one-Ephrath called Bethlehem (Gen 35:19) conspicuously absent. That is where the Savior will be born. The number eleven here shows discord. It shows the lack of the essential though minute. Humanity has always neglected the most important priority: belief in Jesus that gives life and life in abundance.

In Judges 16:5, we see that Delilah is bribed with eleven hundred pieces of silver which is a great bribe and the price they attach in Samson’s capture. This current generation attaches a great price in the destruction of truth. You must remember that the universe was in sync with man until man rebelled against God. Theretofore, the lion became man’s enemy and hitherto natural occurrences do show their domination too. Jesus is the way the truth and the life and there cannot be any life without Him.

The number eleven in Judges 17:2-3 shows a departed treasure. Even if you were deaf and blind you will know that life is departing from humanity these days. The rulers of North Africa-Ben Ali, Mubarak and Gadhafi can tell you how much treasure they are losing these days. The world labors to redeem something from Japan from the disaster caused on the 11 of March. Remember that the incident in Judges happened when there was no judge.

2 Kings 23:36; 2 Chronicles 36:5; Jeremiah 52:1 and 2 Kings 24:18; 2 chronicles 36:11, say Jehoiakim and Zedekiah reigned for eleven years each. Those eleven years were years of total ungodliness garnished with hedonism just like nowadays. The number eleven here signifies hedonistic ungodliness. Do you now see why things that do not reflect the image of God seem to happen more on the eleven?

The synoptic gospels tell us there were 12 disciples but by the end, they were eleven. Judas is the epitome of betrayal. Can you tell me the world is trustworthy today? Do the events happening now make you trust the future? Wall Street knows better and South East Asia knows best.

Therefore, my friends, the spiritual implication is that there is danger ahead except if humanity changes its ways. We are in our last days, and the Bible has already predicted it in Matthew 24, Luke 21 and Mark 13. Jesus did not leave us ignorant of the end times; He said there will be false prophets, wars, famine, earthquakes, tribulations, and widespread evangelization. Do we have false prophets today? Are countries and tribes fighting against each other? If not of Obama’s economic miracle, Americans would have been begging for food from North Korea and Ethiopia now. Didn’t an earthquake just turned the world upside down in Japan? People have upgraded in godlessness and apostasy these days. The European Union is getting bigger and stronger. Russia is rearming herself. Knowledge is increasing and even making many stupid that they are ever learning but never coming to the truth. Technology has improved to facilitate the mark of the beast, and the possibility of a world government is shaping up. The sum total of all of these is an alarming bell that the world is coming to an end. The bells are ringing, but are you hearing? It does not matter when and how you die but if you will be ready to meet your Maker and give account of your time on earth when you die.

Until then, prepare to meet your Maker.

He That Scratches Backs Will Soon Scratch Asses!

In fact, there are eternal back scratchers all over Cameroon. In the North Cavaye Djibrill has ruled parliament as speaker for more than 19 years to be modest. The Manyu elites called on their people to scratch Biya’s back with their votes for their roads to be tarred. After all H.E Mengot once said “roads do not come cheap.” A week later their counterparts from Kupe Muanenguba repeated the same call. In the North West, they will even pray in groups of six “rule us for life we beg”. These other people may have a reason to scratch Biya’s back and give him their wives and daughters or even surrender to him their fondoms as they so desire, but Manyu and Kupe Muanenguba, I say Manyu and Kupe Muanenguba have no such reason even if it means just fantasizing.

People are even talking of roads, the Manyu and Kupe people don’t even have schools and most of the schools have been left in the hands of the PTA. There are no benches and no blackboards. Did you know in most villages in Manyu and Kupe our kids are walking barefooted and even naked in this age and time? Most of our kids are singing this song.

If power was only within the Anglophone region we can talk of Manyu holding the swing vote but if nationally, it can only hold the swing vote if it puts itself in a position of influence. Each time there are elections, they carry caterpillars and start to grade the roads. They pay a Korean company that starts to grater the road to make it look like it will be tarred. After the elections, those workers disappear overnight and the roads remain the same. For more than 29 years that Biya has been in power, those roads have been like that. Take the 50 millions you have raised and build decent schools in the whole of Manyu and Kupe Muanenguba. Give me the 50 millions and ask me to furnish every school there with a library, and I will do that.

Look at where the meeting is taking place. It is taking place in Kumba rather than Mamfe or Ekondo Titi because there are no roads to Mamfe or Ekondo Titi. If they go there, they will have electricity on Monday and Tuesday and then they will stay in darkness on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and then the electricity that had traveled to Mvomeka will come back on Saturday and Sunday.

The honorable minister Prof Peter Agbor Tabi: a man I respect a lot has done too much for the Manyu people, Cameroon and especially to Paul Biya as an individual that no matter his association with the government should not darken such a palmares. When Should Christians Disobey Their Government?

In November 24, 2004, a Scottish cardinal challenged the British Government to make St Andrew a public holiday . In 2005 cardinal Tumi called out President Paul Biya against corruption and bad governance . In 2009, Kenya media went viral when Cardinal John Njue rebuked president Kibaki about corruption . Still in 2009, in the US, a dozen of pastors challenged the IRS. In December 2010, Bosnian Cardinal- Vinko Puljic disobeyed the government orders to vacate his residence so that it would be given to a former communist secret police agent . Many have asked if that is not mingling church and state, and others wonder aloud if Christians should even challenge rather than pray for their presidents. Many have asked me whether a Christian should challenge his or her government considering that there are biblical recommendations for them to obey their governments and other governments (Romans 8:7). Shouldn’t Christians be the salt of the earth and the light of the world? They ask. Aren't they failing from being the special spice to the insipid world and light to the dark world? Don’t they negate their duty of being the lighthouse and the aroma if Christians go along committing the same atrocities like the non Christians? Should you simply acquiescently obey everyone in authority even if their command is sinful (Matt. 23:2-4)?

It would have been great if the Christian was not held accountable by God for associating or being mute at evil and evildoers. One must dissociate himself or herself from the evildoers to escape the judgment of God (Rev. 18:4). Omission is punishable as sin (James 4:17). That is, if you know that there are people being oppressed and you do not do anything to set them free, to God that is sin.

Immediately the Christian is faced with two laws: the law of God and the law of man. The law of the spirit governs the spiritual man, and the law of the flesh governs the physical man (Rom 7:23; Gal 5:16). The Christians cannot be taken out of the world; consequently, they can only be preserved from evil because though they are in this world, they are not of this world (Jn 17:15-17). There will be a time where earthly authority will kill the Christian thinking they are doing services for God, but it is the law of God that will judge all men (I Pet. 4:17). The question will be; where does the Law of man end and when does the law of God start? Which law is superior: God’s or humans’?

We could have been left wanting if there was no precedence of children of God resisting wicked rulers in the Bible. One thing we must note is that every prophet went head to head against the kings and emperors of their days. It is normal when we know that the prophet represents good sees anything evil in the king. That is why we had the confrontation between Moses and Pharaoh, Elijah and Ahab, Jeremiah and Zedekiah over obeying Babylon’s government (Jer. 32:2-5) & John the Baptist against Herod’s marriage of Herodias and his other sins (Luke 3:19). Furthermore, as you read Daniel 3:15-18 you will see Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego go against the edict of king Nebuchadnezzar. Whenever you want to rebuke the president or earthly authority, do that openly because doing it behind amounts to gossiping, and he will be told anyway by his aficionados and myrmidons.

The earthly ruler is the minister of God to bring goodness and not evil; thus, when he starts to spit evil, he loses his authority. In general, the Christians must supplicate, pray and intercede for all men including kings and all those in authority whether we agree with them or not, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceably life on earth (I Tim 2:1-2; I Pet. 2:13-15, 17). Remember that your peace shall depend upon the land in which you dwell (Jer 29:7).

When it concerns the physical man, the worldly authority has the power to crucify the Christian like it was done to Polycarp or to release him as was the case of Peter. Yet, that power is only by the will of God (John 19:10-11). Those who live should know that God rules all kingdoms, and He gives power to whomsoever he wills at times to the basest of men (Dan 4:17). If that kingdom is of God, man cannot overthrow it no matter how much he fights because it will be Man Versus God and we know already who will win (Acts 5:39).

In the face of a conflict between the authority of man and the authority of God, Christians “ought to obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:29). You must not be afraid of what man will do unto you. God’s power is the superior power to which all must subject themselves to whether they like it or not. In the last days, every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. In the course of submitting to the law of man, it should not be just because we are afraid of punishment but because of our conscience too (Rom 13:7). The fact that there will be an end of the world tells you there is a superior power and authority that will bring it to a close one day one day. There is an earthly authority called Caesar, and we must give to Caesar what is Caesar and to God what is God (Mt 22:21). It simply means that the Christians are not exempt from obeying the rules of their earthly governments when they do not infract the laws of God. Sometimes though the Christians will not be committing sin if they disobey certain laws, but because they are not inherently sinful, though inconvenient should be respected for the sake of peace and societal tact (Mt 17:27).

Until then, Christians should not respect a wicked ruler!

When Prayer Sessions Make You Laugh.

Some years back in Yaoundé, I was a deacon in Full Gospel Nsimeyong II, the prayer cell leader of Mendong, the national assistant coordinator for the University ministry, member of the Full Gospel Education Board, Founder of the Street preachers, and many other leadership positions. There was never a day that I did not go to pray for someone in their house. There was never a day I never visited somebody. I have forgotten many of them, but some have remained close to my heart. Ladies and gentlemen, I have some stories to tell you.

In 1997, one of our sisters told me about her neighbor who had demonic passion. It was not the first time I was praying for someone with that problem, and I knew God could do it. I decided to follow the prescription in Mark 9:29. I fasted for three days while praying and reviewing the scripture on demonic possession. I even reviewed a couple of books on demonology and headed out.

When I reached there, I prayed with her, and then she asked me to pray for her things. I prayed for them, and she asked me to touch everything in her house. I did too. Then she asked me to lay my hands on her and pray. The places she was showing me to lay my hands were making me to laugh. She will show her breasts and then her buttocks. I did! Then she went into her room and brought out her underwear. She told me that demons used to squeak in that underwear, so I should lay my hands on them. There, I said, "well you just hold them, and I will stretch my hand towards them." As I was praying, I was laughing because that demon knew where to squeak. Nevertheless, I stretched my hand and prayed, but I never forgot that day.

Another situation was one of our mother’s in church. She told me that she wanted me to come and pray for her daughter. She needs me to pass by the house right quick. So after preaching in church, I hurriedly went there.

Her daughter was possessed by the demon of sex. When I reached there, she starred and gazed at me as a lion ready for her prey. I resisted her in my heart and tried to take control. So I asked the mother to come and pray with me because I did not want to be long. I had too many places to go on that day because I had to pray for many other people who could not make it to church.

As I closed my eyes and began praying, the demonized daughter grasped my manhood, and it felt like the claws of an eagle had taken hold of my peesh. I screeched and cried for God to help or at least a Deuse Ex Machina. In her mom, I found one as she picked a broom and hit her on the back. Then she released me. My new shirt was all torn. Thenceforth, I knew that there were some demons that warrant more serious spiritual preparations than others.

I came back home and prepared more in fasting and prayers. Once I reached there, I prophesied and told her the source of her daughter’s possession. She said that is what the fortune teller had told them yesteryears when she was not a Christian and visited one. So that means I should be a man of God. We prayed and delivered her until she began coming to church.

A third was when I was still a young Christian. We have been fasting and praying that we knew God could answer any prayer. We were two of us on that day but usually three of us. All three later became pastors. A sister told us about their brother who was mad. We told her to bring the young man. They said “if he is released from his chains, he will wander off for days without anyone knowing where he was.” We insisted that the power of God in us will contain him. They brought him to us, and we decided to unchain the man. Then we began praying with our eyes closed. After praying for hours without opening our eyes, we decided to take a break. By the time we opened our eyes; the mad man had opened the door calmly and absconded away. We did not bother. We decided to pray again hoping prayers will bring him back. After about 5 hours of prayers, we could not smell him. When the sister came, she almost killed us will words. Now at least I have learnt not to pray with my eyes closed when praying for demonic possessed people.

One lady came to me one time and told me that she wanted me to pray for her. I asked what her prayer topic was about. She said “just pray because if I tell you, you will not like to pray.” So I said “tell me first”. She said that she wanted the husband's girlfriend to either die or to make an accident and leave her husband alone. I said “no, that is cruel; if you do not like the marriage again, you should quit.” She said, “Well you guys preach that once you bless the marriage, you have given the keys to God and that there is no more any room for divorce” I said “not really, there are situations that could lead you to remarry.” You can divorce him for infidelity or abandonment but you will not remarry else you commit digamy. She said when can I remarry? I said “if he was dead.” She said “oh, I have heard you”. I said can we pray now? She said “ok”. We prayed. After we finished and she was going, she reiterated again that “pastor, I have heard you oh.” I asked “what have you heard”? She said “you said ‘except he dies I cannot remarry’. So I have heard you.” And she left.

However, whatever may be my experience, demonic possessions are real. They can be driven by fasting and prayers although some will need you to prepare more than others. In all situations, God finally reined because God in us is greater the demons in anyone.

Until then, fast and pray, for we can still drive out demons today in God’s timing.

The Coffin Maker.

When I visited home in 2001, I asked of one of my friends. My sister told me that he had become a coffin seller. I asked her to accompany me, so we could pay him a visit. I asked him about life and his business. He told us that all was well except for his business that was stalling because people have not been dying these days. Then he added a prayer request. He said he wanted God to blossom his business for him to have one of the biggest stores in the place. My sister tried to pull me away, but I resisted. And my sister just began going alone as if saying “ok if you want to be his customer, you should stay there alone because I am not. I am gone!”

Since I did not have much faith for the prayer topic, and we need faith for God to answer our prayers, I decided to send out an SOS. This was just because I am not too spiritual to honor his prayer request because I am afraid of it. Imagine that I was praying and God said ok Hamilton let us start with you as his first customer. So I am leaving it with you all to do the bombardment. I was seeking for prayer warriors to stand shoulder to shoulder with me and bombard heaven with intercession for my friend who makes coffins so that his business will prosper. Feel free to add fasting and speaking in tongues to expedite the request. Oh, if anyone is naming and claiming customers for him, they should spare me because I am my mother's first son. This may be the explained version of my request

My friend sells coffins or caskets, and he says he has been having bad business because people are no more dying for their families to buy his coffins. So he asked me for prayers so that people can die for him to have good business. Since I am not too spiritual to make such a prayer, and I have friends like you, I want you to help. The only condition I request is that please do not include me as one of his customers because I am the first son of my mother. Please always listen to the entire prayer topic before you pray, so you do not pray at the first request if not you will have to undo the prayer with 40 days and 40 nights of fasting and prayers.

Notwithstanding, no matter how awkward and wry his prayer request is, it is just a business. Most people want to be buried in coffins and imagine if he did no more sell coffins. Imagine if every coffin seller went out of business. Do you want the guy to die of bad business?

Lady Kate says “CHANGE WILL COME THROUGH THE BALLOT BOX” Change cannot come through the ballot box because the regime has made it impossible with the formation of the dubious ELECAM. The Cameron Electoral Commission (ELECAM) is not independent; thus will facilitate the maintenance of the incumbent in power. Who will lose if they are both the accused and the judge? The number of votes cast always outnumbers the number of registered voters. There is always violence and vote rigging. The same voters are always listed in more than one voting constituencies. The government has always done so many secret registrations in places. In some places, voter’s registration cards have been seized by government officials thus depriving the opposition from voters.

Those in the Diaspora who say that there is democracy and good governance at home should have been living at home to reap the fruits of the regime rather that act like parasites overseas on the welfare and good governance that was bought from the blood of western martyrs and freedom fighters.

There is no price for peace but a man in bondage with iron fetters and shackles may not say they are at peace. The Cameroonians are not at peace with the regime of Biya seeing the number of people that were killed in 2008 and the number of students who disappeared. Cameroonians must come to believe as “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” (Mt 4:4).

The majority of people in Cameroon did not refuse to come out because they love peace; they refused to come out for fear of government reprisals. Why did the government not encourage people to come out?

Furthermore, it is only in Cameroon where marching or protesters are considered public disorder. Thank God to the marches of the Satygraha by Gandhi, Civil Disobediences by Martin Luther King Jr, and the peaceful demonstrations by Mandela that India won its independence, the blacks and colored people of America won their civil rights and Apartheid was dismantled in South Africa respectively. Without those protests yesteryears she calls public disorder today, she would not have been working freely as she does now.

Does it make any sense for Kah Walla to be beaten even if she was only with 19 people? Was it only for the 19 people that the police brought out 4 fire trucks, 2 water cannons trucks and more than 100 police officers, 100 gendarmes and armies armed to the teeth with AK 47? If 19 civilians could threaten the government to bring out such a response, can we say we are insecure because if we are attacked by a garrison, we will lack soldiers to send? Where were all these security officers when government officials were kidnapped in Bakassi? Isn’t it shameful to hear another woman condone the brutality on another woman? Were these the forces of order or disorder when Cameroonian joint police, gendrame and army force is beating mercilessly with batons and truncheons a peaceful demonstrator? Some of them were even kicking her on the head with their boots. Shame on Lady Kate to condone such a behavior! I say again shame!

People keep talking about Cameroon having done 20 years ago what the Maghreb region is doing today. So which dictator did Cameronians remove from power by peaceful protests is a simple question that warrants no quibbles but lucid answers. Some even insinuate that the Maghrebians are not civilized people. Ignorantly they forgot that civilization began in Egypt (a Maghrebian country) and not in the docile south of the Sahara.

It is sad to have summed up the Cameroonian man to a beer drinker, dancing simpleton and idler who cares less about his welfare and the future of his progeny. The Cameroonian men I know were the first to pose serious resistance to German, French and British rules. The same Cameroonian men built the country that Paul Biya has destroyed today in 29 years. Cameroon was the most literate African country and the little paradise of Central and West Africa before Biya came to power. Today even unborn kids want to run away because the country looks more like a hellhole for their parents and themselves. Shouldn’t Lady Kate be living in Cameroon if Cameroon is so wonderful to live in?

My Compatriots, the hand writing on the wall is so clear: “Biya Must Go and Go Now”. Lose no sleep; the whirlpool and whirlwind of freedom and democracy are blowing from the Maghreb with anemometers informing us the crescendo is trumpeting southwards. Dictators in their numbers will fall and fall either de jure at their own volition or de facto by the will of the people. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the dictators.

Has a man committed adultery already with a woman in his heart if he looks on her to lust after her? Has a woman sinned just by desiring to be rich? Wouldn’t James be contradicting Jesus since he says something different? Several times people have asked me “How do you come to know exactly what Jesus meant?” There are several interpretations to many bible passages that even the simplest and most straight forward always brings out at least two different interpretations. In this lesson this morning, I will present a summation by comparing two passages spoken by Jesus and James on how to arrive at an interpretive conclusion. There are things to consider in hermeneutics. For written material like our case, we have semantics, syntax, and morphology. In morphology, we do word study, context and etymology while thinking horizontally. After this, we sum it up in exposition, application before illustration. This is the science behind interpretation. So let us walk together so you know I am not making it up.

Step one: The meaning of the word lust in Matthew is different from the general word lust . How do we know that? The word lust in Ps 81:12 means stubborn. In Matthew 5:28 because it is preceded immediately by the adverb of manner (this word is used as an adverb only in two ways: adverb of manner and adverb of time), the word changes its meaning to “have a desire for, long for, to desire”. The Greek word there is /Epithymeō/. Now compare the word lust in Romans1:27 which is really what Matthew means. The Greek word there is /Orexis/ meaning “desire, longing, craving for, eager desire, lust, appetite.” There is a difference between present simple tense and infinitive tense. In Matthew then the word is used in present indicative to make a factual declaration while in James it is used in infinitive. In the former, the action taking place while in the latter, the action bears a future fulfillment.

Step Two: Here is where the Horizontal Thinking comes into play. Scripture must be used to interpret itself. Consequently, we look at what the Bible says elsewhere about lust. The next section will be James 1:14-15. If we interpret that Matthew 5:28 means to consume sin then we mean that the Bible in contradictory; thus fallible and errant. James says that lust must conceive and give birth to sin. That means the strong desire acted upon by imagination (lust after) is already sin.

Application:
The case of adultery evoked by Jesus could be taken out of context that could produce a wrong inference or poor semantics. Let us go back to Horizontal thinking.

What does the Bible say about adultery? True the Bible says if you marry a divorced woman you have committed adultery already. But that is if the fault is on the woman. Let us read Matthew 5:32

But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

If you divorce your wife for any other cause other than the fact that she was unfaithful, you force her to commit adultery because she will be breaking the covenant. The person who marries the woman who was wrongfully divorced is committing adultery too because he should not be in that relationship. Same thing in Matt 19:9. Mark 10:12 the responsibility is reversed for men to women. So if a woman wrongfully divorced her husband, she is committing adultery and also forcing the man to commit adultery. Yet, the bible authorizes digamy if there is abandonment (I Cor 7:15). If your spouse runs away, though there is no infidelity involved, you are free to remarry and there will not be any adultery because when they run away from the marriage, they abandon the marital bond which is a bond in blood sexually administered.

Therefore, to know exactly what Jesus meant, the reader must be ready to read, interpret the passage hermeneutically and think horizontally by looking at other passages of the Bible to see what the Bible says about the same topic. It will take time, but it is very efficient in putting the reader nearer or to the exact intent of God.

Manyu Does Not Need CDC; It Needs Roads!

The news that the Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC) will start a rubber mill plantation in Manyu comes to me like a melodrama. Manyu after the unitary constitution has become an enclave. It has been abandoned by the government with no roads, insufficient teachers in schools, no major infrastructure. Timber has been siphoned by Frank Biya and others leaving the bush naked. Time and again the government has dangled the post of ministers to its elites who have been contented to struggle for it as they backbite and stab each other on the back. Aren’t the Manyu people good to be prime ministers and president? How many balls has Paul Biya got that the Manyu man does not have? Why must the Manyu people be contented for him to rule that country for 28 years and still hoping to add seven more as if it is his plantation? Now he wants to kill our people with pollution from a useless plantation.

Perhaps Paul Biya and the elites are testing our patience and resolve. Manyu needs roads and not CDC plantation. You see, they want to take the Manyu people for slavery finally. The Manyu people have been enslaved from afar before, but now they must be in shackles and manacles of the CDC plantations. In addition, they want to kill your main cash-crop and impoverish you intoto so you and your children will be begging for food from the CDC manager. Where are the elites of Manyu? Where is the intelligentsia? Where will our kids go, and how will they survive? Even if we have the crops, how will they carry them to the market? They will tell you that when the plantation is coming that is when they will start to construct the roads. Let them construct the roads first and then follow with cassava, cocoa, palm kernel, and bush mango. We have our own cash-crops that are wanted in the world now. This is even the time for the government to encourage the planting of bush mango since it has been proven to fight obesity and is in high demand now in the US.

To the Manyu boys and girls, I call you not to sleep. Not at all! Rise up and tell the government of Paul Biya to go and go now. There are kids who refused to be born because he is still around. Please Biya go and let these kids come out of their mothers' wombs. Look at most of our schools, they don't have teachers. Our results are dropping yearly, and the names coming up with the best results even in our own land are no more our names. Oh land of the intelligent, to whom shall I bemoan such dearth? Only a selected few receive water. There is SNEC but not everyone with a meter receives water in Mamfe. There is never a week where there is electricity for continuously one week.

Some of you will be proud that Mamfe has been tarred. Good and fine but what does that avail to when there is no way to get out and come into Mamfe? Aren’t we really ashamed of ourselves? We have been following the same party for how many years, and all we get is a useless plantation? Perhaps the Obasinjom needs to come out to explain the oracle why we are intelligently stupid. I want to leave each and everyone today to their consciences. I want you all to know that anyone who will mortgage that division will never find rest and when things will change, we will fight hard to erase their names from the annals of our almanac. I want you to join me so that we can form a committee to debrief the people at home. We will carry a serious campaign from village to village to inform our people not to allow the government to fool them one more time. We will print leaflets and distribute to everyone.

Africa is endowed with oil, diamonds, gold, mining, bauxite, manganese, cocoa, coffee, uranium, bodies of water for fishing, and fertile tropical forests that produce timber. Shouldn’t the land of plenty be plentiful to those who dwell therein? Doesn’t the Bible say our welfare shall depend on the land in which we dwell (Jer 29:7)? Here is where the modern church has failed. Christianity cannot function in a vacuum; it works only on people. Consequently, for Christianity to be meaningful, we must apply the tenets on human beings and the society. Such was the gospel of the Old Testament where the prophets will scold the leaders for leading the country into dearth. Seeing today the same depravity, instead the modern preachers pass baskets or hats around for the largesse of listeners. While that is encouraged in the bible to give to the poor or needy (Ex 23:6; Proverbs 11:24, 19:17, 28:27; Matthew 25:31-46; Luke 14:12-14; James 2:6), the Lord has given the preachers the responsibility of watchmen to warn the wicked; including the leaders (Ezk. 33:7, 3:18; Hab 2:1).

For how long are we going to be begging to give to people? For how long will the church flatter the parishioners that all is well and everything is fine? For how long will the church flatter the churchgoers that their rewards are in heaven? Wouldn’t and shouldn’t there be a foretaste of that heavenly felicity while we are here on earth?

Looking at the scripture, the prophets of old were in constant conflict with their leaders probing them to do good and rebuking them when they went astray. It is written “The LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers” (2 Kings 17:13). While they made miracles to solve certain situations, they were cognizant that they will and could not be everywhere to make those same miracles. Even when they were there, the same miracles do not always replicate themselves, so they called on the pharaoh, king or emperor to treat the people right.

Christian minister, the church and the Christian cannot suffer all their lives only to wait for heavenly blessings. Jesus came that we may have life and have life abundantly (Jn 10:10). Most of these countries are blessed with wealth to go around, but a few have decided to hoard 90% of it to satisfy their egoism. Ministers should call out their governments so as to create a national consciousness for them to manage properly their resources because God requires justice, mercy and humility (Micah 6:8).

Hellas, churches are afraid that if they call out the governments, they will be shut down. So whose church is it then; that of God or that of man? If God’s then let Him defend himself, for He does not need the help of mere mortals. They should never hold their peace (Is 62:1) by crying aloud to show them their transgression and sins (Is 58:1). Sadly “His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber” (Is 56:10). Instead of holding the government accountable, the churches are more concerned with extorting the Christians with false prosperity preaching. Indeed some Christians even seem like they have been bewitched. They fall down year in year out, but their condition is still the same. They fall and tumble but their barrenness gazes at them in the night. God will never visit a person without leaving you with an everlasting change.

Are you happy the way other people are suffering all over the world? Do you think that is really the gospel? Or perhaps you believe that Jesus came only for the soul. If the body does not eat, the mind will not have the strength to receive the word for the soul to get regenerated. The soul cannot function in the absence of our carcass-the body. Therefore, the apostle Paul reiterates the importance of the body and cautions the need for physical exercise.

My people, all those dictators that have kept their people under bondage should be the problem and prime preaching of the church and the Christians. While the Bible adjures the Christians to respect the law and authority, it admonishes them to rebuke evil. The blessings of nations belong to all God’s creatures and not to a selected few, so a selected few who depauperate the rest with their bingeing should be called to order! Preachers, why are you leaving your governments to do an undo with the resources of your countries? You must watch, and remember that you have been seized to warn every one night and day with tears. Go ahead and warn them now!

Until then, God has called preachers to bold preaching and not timidity!

Book Review: Compassionate Care: Healing for The Soul with HIV/AIDS.

Dr Lee Ann B. Marino. Compassionate Care: Healing for The Soul with HIV/AIDS. Joshua Tree Publishing: La Vergne, Tennessee. 2010.

It is a 143 page book lucidly and fluidly written to the comprehension of the medical laity. Compassion Care (CC) is divided into 5 parts with some necessary appendixes like a glossary, healing centers, references and an abridged biography of the author. The book is different from most other books written on this subject because it is the first of its kind that attempts to trace the source, states the symptoms(p. 7) and progression (p. 7-9)manifestation, proposes a cure and then suggests the position and responsibility of the church vis a vis the carriers or those whose beloveds are HIV positive. Her challenge in the fifth chapter to the church about getting directly involved against HIV makes the book very timely and necessary for both churched and unchurched on the surface of the earth.

In many churches and denominations, the usual call is for individuals to abstain from sex as a prevention of HIV/AIDS. Yet considering that the human nature is fallible, and will not be able to abstain, it is expedient for them to be given ample information of what HIV/AIDS is all about. With sustained research and biblical exposition, Dr Ann Lee Marino serves the world in a single book. She weaves through the pages; converting even the most complex theories about HIV/AIDS into simple and concrete undertakings.

She starts by reemphasizing the basic truisms about HIV/AIDS like the two types HIV-1 and HIV-2, and the fact that HIV has no known cure. She also confirms that that there are at least 5 ways that individuals can contract the disease (p. 5-6).

Marino affirms “the first, and most accepted school of thought, states HIV/AIDS originated with the Rhesus Monkeys in Africa” (p. 11). She disputes the second school of thought that theorizes “the disease passed to humans from infected chimpanzees by ingesting infected meat or direct blood contact with them (i.e., by through a bite or scratch)”. The third school claims it was a biological or germ warfare, and the fourth school ascribes it to Polio vaccine. The fifth school claims it is some sort of nutritional deficiencies, and the sixth school “teaches HIV/AIDS does not exit at all.

Like many other western authors, she stumbles on the origin and history of HIV/AIDS (p. 11-16). There are many questions that logic will fault even the origin of the first school of thought and rather align with the third school of thought. The theory that HIV/AIDS could be zoonotic is scientifically weak because it will mean there must be animals in that area that transmitted the disease. Then most animals in that area would have been affected. Four years ago I stated that “No one contests the fact that HIV destroys the immune system and that any disease at this hour could kill you. However, the mode of transmission: Mosquitoes to Human challenges the very ethos of HIV breeding ground. In other words; we are saying that not only humans are breeding grounds for HIV.” In the same article I said “Researchers are the ones who said HIV means Human Immunodeficiency Virus. So the quick question is does it live in animals and insects? Then it would be Animo Immuno Deficiency Virus. How long does that virus live in a non breeding surface to be able to be transmitted into another human?”

Notwithstanding, whether HIV/AIDS comes from animals in Africa or Biological Warfare from an American laboratory, it is certain that HIV/AIDS is real and it does kill. Dr Marino has not only raised the awareness, but she has emphasized the urgency the church needs to make the gospel of Jesus-love your neighbor as yourself real as they embrace those with HIV and those who will (P. 35-38). Isn’t it absurd and even ungodly that the church still stigmatizes HIV/AIDS victims? Should carriers of HIV/AIDS still be facing more problems from the church more than those with cancer or other sexually transmissible diseases? Why does the church refuse to bless a wedding when one partner or both are HIV positive, but they can do that with cancer patients? Isn’t both all terminal diseases? No matter whatever terminal diseases an individual faces, he or she should not be stigmatized. Consequently, Dr Marino goes the extra length to unravel all the necessary support that may be available to churches to support the HIV patients. Jesus said "you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." If churches have the information that is in this book, they will save many lives as pages 65-101 elaborate on that. Looking at the information in this book, I will encourage everyone to get a copy and especially for churches to distribute to their Christians.

Until then, may the church and Christians be the lighthouses of compassion to the HIV/AIDS Patients.

A teacher was suspended with pay this week for writing her personal blog about students. Are we still living in the country of the free and land of the brave? Sooner or later Americans are crossing oceans to go and teach others on freedom of speech. Teacher, teach thyself! American schools are in big trouble! Let me tell you guys some personal stories about our little angels. I tell you guys everyday that we are in an epoch called “childrenism” where children rule. Someday in future it will be “animalism” where your cat will be head of household or family head. The parents have failed and must take care of their kids. I know you will make some noise after all, he that is crying and he that is laughing are all guilty of making noise. Now enjoy and make some noise!

One day a female teacher was leading her students to the cafeteria, and one of them asked to use the restroom. After entering, the student quickly bolted back out and asked the teacher “MS. (so and so), do you want to see me jack up.” I was standing between the door of the cafeteria and the restroom door. Then the teacher exclaimed “no, he didn't” I asked her what happened, and she asked me what the young man said. I repeated it to her. I did not know what jack up meant. Being from Africa, I thought perhaps it was a form of exercise that he wanted to do, so I was wondering why she was angry. Methought it was just the habitual female histrionics where they always use a grenade to kill a cockroach. She explained to me that it means masturbation. I made a quick sign of the cross and said "Lord have mercy! These kids will come and rape someone here one day in broad day light." She reported the student to the administrators, and they asked her to write a report. I was shocked to hear that nothing happened to the student.

Another day a student wrote a wooden sign and placed it in front of her desk. The sign read “fuck me. Fuck my life y'all.” Everytime I taught and looked at her, she showed me the sign that read “fuck me”. I will laugh, but the other students did not know why I kept laughing hard. She made me lose my thought each time I read that sign, so I asked her to step outside. She refused, and I called the administrators. One of them came, and she said she did not have a sign. Immediately as she went back to class, she removed her sign that she had passed to her friends and placed it back in front of her. So I just said to myself, “don't be in a haste; you will have plenty of customers.” I decided to ignore her and her sign and continued my job.

The administrators sent him to ISS for one day where he went and slept all day long. I actually liked the song because it was original. It meant at least he had one thing that he knew how to do-write music to say the least. I gave him a dollar for his creativity.

In one school, the principal said since kids do no more do homework, so the teachers should stop giving homework. Would that shock you that for seven years that school had never made the AYP, but surprisingly their principal was one time the state principal of the year? How? Isn't our society extoling mediocrity now?

So why are people crucifying the poor woman for nothing?America is shying away from the truth. The teacher did nothing wrong! If you look at things well; most parents who are angry about her admonishments are absentee parents who feel indicted for absentee parenting when the kids are called to responsibility. They are setting on time bombs. Just compare the education the kids receive today and what was yesteryears, and you will see that educational standards have been muddled up in excessive freedom. Isn't she covered too by the First Amendment?

Until then, give the woman's job back.
