Local Swamp Hero.

I see the local hero in the swamp.
Pumping pump by pompous puff.
Seeking souls to enter his boastful boat.
To him and his irks, it is life they live.

He told tales from his vain veins.
Singing sorrow songs from sinful soul.
Living life with less lebensfreude .
To him and his irks, it is life they live.

Why wife when home is balandra bed?
Hunting holes harvesting heterism.
Ranting raves of self-seeking success.
To him and his irks, it is life they live.

No one knows why he lives like that.
Bewitched by worthless swamp settlers.
Plying praises to soothe his empty ego.
To him and his irks, it is life they live.

Oh vain man to whom I make the plea.
People prey on sorrowful souls.
Doing deliraments for praying popinjays.
How can him and his irks live life like this?

Hamilton Ayuk, 2016

"It is not how well you know a person; it is how well you treat them that they will live longer and happier with you." Hamilton Ayuk. Idle people write, idler people read, and idlest people read and whine that idle people are taking their time (Hamilton Ayuk).

"Do you have family here?"

People always ask me each time I meet a new person, “Do you have family here?” Sometimes, when I meet a white person, he or she always...
