The Bible Has A Better Solution To Solve The Suicide Quagmire.

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixonon Feb. 26, at left, bows his head in a brief prayer service for the family of Missouri Auditor Tom Schweich who shot himself in an apparent suicide a month before his spokesman would be found dead by his own hand as well.

About two months ago, a student told me that, “I just want to call it quit. I don’t want to take it anymore.” I said to him, “Son, my own problems are more than yours, but I have made up my mind to overcome.” I gave him a tip of the iceberg and encouraged him to conquer his fears. Two weeks ago, he saw me and came to greet me. He told me, “You are my inspiration.” Last week, I was sitting in a church, and I heard 4 prayer requests for people who know or have lost someone through suicide during the past week. I was heartbroken. I was almost saddened the whole day. I said to myself, “This should not be happening.” I also knew a young woman who committed suicide about 4 months ago . Suicide is really a problem nowadays. Many people have attempted or thought of suicide. American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) wrote that “every 12.8 minutes, an American is dying by suicide.”[1]While I agree with their findings, I disagree with their solutions. Many people think that suicide is the easiest way out of their despair. I tell you today that there is a better way out than suicide. This treatise is to show faith in Jesus as the most effectual fervent solution in the reduction of suicide.
If you look at the AFSP suicide prevention solutions, you will realize that they target the physical man but not the spiritual man. That is good advice but do human beings have the power to do those things? Romans 7:15, Paul said, “For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.” Human beings cannot do the contrary on their own volition because they are carnal, thus under the law of sin.
Suicide is a mortal sin because the person can no more repent and that is damnation. Suicide is morally wrong and sinful because the bible says, “you shall not murder.” You are not only going to not murder other people, but you are equally not authorized to murder yourself. We know that God forgives sins after we confess. However, since the last act the person did was killing himself, there will not be any remission of sins because he will be unable to confess, talk less of forsaking his sin.
The Bible does not condemn suicide directly as it does not even mention the word, but it showed 6 instances of suicide merely as moral failure. We do not treat moral failure by going to the hospital and seeing a psychiatrist or a psychologist. We do not treat a moral failure with immorality. Many people who commit suicide suffer from panic disorder which is symptomatic of “recurrent, unpredictable unprovoked attacks of sudden, intense anxiety, or a panic attack.”[2] This panic disorder could be cured by true friendship of mutualism because “Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad (Prov 12:25).”
Charles Morris says that, “In fact, most people who kill themselves have mentioned their intent beforehand.”[3] However, many relatives and friends are always surprised to hear that someone committed suicide because even when they seem close, they are still far from each other due to the lifestyle we have now decided to live. These words of Solomon explain the current relationships amongst niggardly relatives, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee (Prov 23:7).” They say things they really don’t mean.
Suicide is not a happy person’s act; it is an unhappy person’s act. Gary Stewart said, “The problem is not that such despairing people want to die; it is that they do not know how to live.”[4] If suicide is an unhappy act and unhappiness is a spiritual issue; therefore, suicide is a spiritual problem. Consequently, the prescription to treat suicide or prevent it should be both physical and spiritual rather than merely Physical (neurologically and physiologically).  The exemption of the spiritual side leaves the rest of solutions as rodomontades because it leaves out the main cure.
Hallahan, Kauffman and Pullen established the link between depression and suicide in this statement, “Depression, especially when severe and accompanied by a sense of hopelessness, is linked to suicide and suicide attempts.”[5] You should take note again of the word “hopelessness”. That is because it is not all depression that is bad. Some light depression equips your body with the ability to deal with difficult problems in the future.
In so far as we are on earth, we cannot always be happy because of the evil of sin. Even those who live a godly life know that they will have trials and temptations. If your happiness is from the world, your unhappiness will outweigh your happiness because the world is empty and unfulfilling (John 16:33). Solitude makes people to live with anguish and desire to die than to live. Many people attend churches, go to functions and go to schools, but they live in solitude. A lot of people have gone into solitude because of poor treatment they received from churches, broken marriages and relationships, life of debauchery, and others are victims and proprietors of past hurts. Many have refused to heed to Paul’s advice to look into the future rather than the past (Philippians 3; 13-14). Those who look at the past with regrets, embitter their souls and force the future to pay for the broken vases of their past.
Why is depression then so rampant despite all the mechanisms to procure us happiness? Why has happiness and life deserted many? People do not pray for themselves. They ask others to pray for them. What has happened to their own mouths? When was the last time you sat down, knelt down, stood up or slept on your bed and prayed for yourself for even just 30 minutes? People praying for you is good, but it does not replace your own prayers. The teacher’s lectures or group studies do not replace your own studies. You have seen psychologists and psychiatrists, but your depression came back immediately after you left their offices. Could the solution be in your own mouth and heart? Churches are now social playgrounds and not spiritual temples. If they were spiritual grounds, we should be taking the sick from the hospital to the churches and not the churches to the hospital.
Some people are depressed because they cannot pay their electric bills. Then we send them to the psychiatrist. What for?The psychiatrist gives them another bill, and the bill adds to their depression again. A young woman is pregnant and has been rejected by the father of the baby. Then we put her on medication. What for? The medication causes her insomnia and we now prescribe her soporifics. She jumps from the frying pan into the fire. A boy has lost his father, then we put him on medication. What for? He needs someone to step in as a father and not medications! Medications do nto tell him, "Son I love you!"A woman is depressed because she cannot find a husband, yet we tell her we are praying for her. What type of solution is that? Lubitz, the Lufthansa pilot was afraid to lose his job due to his failing eyesight, but his doctors prescribed him stronger medications. What were the results? Adam Lanza was troubled by solitude, but his doctors prescribed him antidepressants and other psychotropics. How were medications going to solve his solitude? A man has anxiety because his cholesterol does not seem to go down, but his doctors put him on statin drugs which are known to have serious muscle and nerve damaging effects. His nerves and muscles get damaged, so he becomes depressed. Then they put him now on more medication, and he contemplates suicide. Did that man need all those medications? What for? A woman suffering from postpartum depression will not find any salvific solution in medications alone because they do not provide hope and self-worth.That is all tantamount to dead faith which is faith without works. A widow does not need medications; she needs more visits and genuine friendship. A woman who is divorcing does not need medications; she needs friendship that paints a future of hope. She needs someone with whom to visit, pray and engage in activities. There is a great cure provided by human warmth that no medication, psychologist or psychiatrist can provide. If a man is depressed because he is unemployed, the most efficient way to cure his depression will be to assist him in looking for work or providing him with work. That buoys his hope. That is faith with works!
When a friend told me that he intended to kill his wife's suitor, his wife and kill himself because he will never be a cuckold, I knew at that moment that his biggest problem was solitude. I took him out and made sure that I called him several times a day and we talked. I brought a plan for us to safe some money and go to Europe. I painted a picture of  the type of women he was going to see there. Harems from whom he could choose his princess wife. I created hope out of his hopelessness. When a student told me that she was depressed and does not see why she should live because her mother was being abused by men, I shared one of my popular articles. I told her to add knowledge to her beauty and her power would be incontestable. She looked at me and said, "You have changed my world in 5 minutes." Hope was what she wanted, and hope is what I gave her. It was concrete, it was real and it was practical! It was not a fairytale about a fairyland. The solution was at her reach!
Deliverance from suicide cannot be done in one occasion or medications as if there was a magic wand; it becomes a way of life so as to preserve the spiritual health that chases away the spirit of gloom. In most people, this spirit of gloom is caused by demons. Dickason states that, “specific confession and renunciation are tools that strip the enemy of his assumed rights that may have allowed his influence or invasion.”[6]Therefore, in some cases of depression, the individual needs deliverance. If someone is on drugs, you attack what made them start drugs in the first place and not the symptoms of their addiction.
Hall, Quinn and Gollnick  affirmed , “One in four of the nation’s high school students report that they feel so sad or hopeless almost every day for at least two weeks in a row that it interferes with their usual activities ( centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2010b).”[7] Hopelessness is not something you can cure via way of medication. The person must have faith which is defined as, “… the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Heb 11:1).”[8]John reiterated that our faith is the victory that overcomes the world (I Jn 5: 3-4). No psychiatrist, no psychologist and no medication can suck out unhappiness from your spirit. Actually, Feldman acknowledges that, “There is some evidence linking the use of antidepressant medication with an increased risk of suicide.”[9]Surprisingly, many Americans prefer medications to building real human relationships.
People often ask me “Why then do Christians who have faith still commit suicide?” Simply because someone is going to church does not mean that they have faith in God or that they have not lost faith (trust) in God. When Judas lost his faith and bishopric, he committed suicide (Mt 27:3-5; Acts 1:16-19). Many have allowed themselves to be controlled by the worries of this world because their hope is only founded on worldly pleasures. Paul said, “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable (I Cor 15:19).”  When our hope does not go beyond this life, we are bound to be hopeless because the world and this present life cannot meet all our needs. Such has been the doctrine of Carpe Diem. God has promised to meet our every-need (Philippians 4:19; Eph 3:20; Mt 7:11) but not our wants. Some of these needs are met, but many are still not contented with what they have. These needs could be met if we seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Mt 6:33).
Therefore, when faith is in your heart, rather than hopelessness and anxiety, you will speak, sing and make melodies of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs as you give thanks to God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We cannot entirely eliminate suicide from the entire society since it is in the sinful nature of humans, but we can reduce it and eliminate it amongst true believers. Id you have faith in God, he will give you good health (Prov 3:7-8). It doe snot mean that you will never be sick; it simply means that you will not be a valetudinarian and sickness will not lead you to suicide. The hope you have in a better place will keep you alive to reach there one day. To some it is an imaginary hope but to you, it is life bringing hope that saves you from suicide!

Until then let us strive to prevent and reduce suicide.

IS RAVEN-SYMONE Right Not To Call Herself An African American?

The problem with many people is that they do not like freethinkers. They want only people with herd mentality. All the black people born in America are not African Americans. They are Americans. The African Americans are the Africans born in Africa who naturalized as Americans. They are the real African Americans, so I do not see why her statement is wrong. I will be using the term black just for expediency purposes only. Perhaps we should return to the original appellation which was the "negritude" as Langston Hughes, Senghor and Donny Elwood. It was their racial pride in the 20s. Thanks to their consciousness, the Africans then woke up in what they will later term "negritude" in the 30s. In Langston Hughes poem “Negro," he writes in the first and last stanzas, "I am a Negro: Black as the night is black,/ Black like the depths of my Africa."
People are free to call themselves whatever they like; that is their right. I had a classmate called Dirtybird. I told him that his parents made a mistake naming him Dirtybird; they should have named him “Dirtyman" because Dirtybird is like an insult since he is not a bird. He always told me that I was crazy. I am not stopping anyone from calling himself or herself African American; they can even add king there and be called King African American. After all, almost all their DNAs say that they are princesses and princes. This is what we call opinions. You and him are entitled to your opinions, and I am also entitled to mine.
I do agree with Jesse Jackson that there is no black or white color. However, there are three groups who can bear the rights of autochthones in this land. They are the Native Americans, the Caucasian Americans and the Dark Skinned Americans (African Americans as you call them). The rest: Puerto Ricans, Italians, Mexicans, Chinese, Jamaicans, Africans etc. are all squatters.
Symone is merely expropriating her rights as an American, and people want to dispossess her. The Irish Americans will go back to Ireland, the Jews will go back to Israel, the Africans to their different countries in Africa, and the Mexican Americans will go back to Mexico. To which country in Africa will the “African Americans" go? You see that Symone makes a serious point to consider. What she is saying is that the black Americans should appropriate their rights as Americans because it is theirs! The black Americans cannot deny their American birthright! Their status is different from all the other little groups. If there was anything as European Americans from the Mayflower, then it will make sense. Otherwise, it is useless to belabor the point.
Those who call themselves Puerto Rican Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian Americans, Chinese Americans or Jamaican Americans were all immigrants who naturalized. Those who were born here do not consider themselves that way. The blacks who went through slavery in this country don't have the same status like the naturalized Africans or the Puerto Rican Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian or Jamaican Americans who immigrated here voluntarily. If you call those black people who were born here as African Americas, I doubt what you will call the Africans who came and naturalized here. What would you call the black people in Canada: African Canadians, or what would you call those black people in Australia: African Australians?  The Dark Skinned Americans have the same status as the Caucasians who came here through Mayflower. Those Americans have the same rights like the Native Americans. They are the autochthones. If people were asked to go back to their different countries, the Mexican Americans will go back to Mexico, the Puerto Ricans will go back to Puerto Rico, and The Jamaicans will go back to Jamaica. Which country will the Native Americans, Caucasian Americans or African Americans go to?

Therefore, Symone is right that she is from all over Africa because her ancestors were plucked from across the continent, so she knows and has only one country and continent. That is America and North America, so she is plain and simple an America with no derivative. Any child born in America now is American and owes their allegiance only to America and not any imaginary fairyland or kingdom. Anyone whose child was born here and is teaching that child that this is not their country is being unpatriotic.

Until then, Raven is black but she is not African American.

Is The Senator Right To Propose Mandatory Church Attendance As A Solution To Sin?

During a legislature debate to expand gun owner’s rights, Senator Sylvia Allen  said that those who committed gun violence had corrupted souls.  She yearned for a moral rebirth in this country. Finally, she suggested a path to the moral rebirth as mandatory church attendance in these words. “We are slowly eroding religion at every opportunity that we have. We should probably be debating a bill requiring every American to attend a church of their choice on Sunday to see if we can get back to having a moral rebirth.”[1] The beloved senator was right in the diagnosis, but she was wrong with the solution. In the past, going to church would have been a good solution but not now because those who preach about heaven are not heaven-bound themselves.  Firstly; history shows that it does not work; secondly; the present church goes do not show its benefits; and thirdly; the quality of churchgoing is not good enough: You will see why.
Senator Sylvia Allen was right that those committing gun violence had corrupted souls. The Bible agrees with her because it reads, “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23).” That means, sin makes people do evil things. She was also right that we need a spiritual rebirth because as you have seen all along in history, Christianity helps to build stronger families, create high value for human life, makes people duty conscious and gives them peace of mind. Many of the scientists were Christians. It was their going to church that influenced them to do the things they did. Churchgoing in the olden days encouraged education. Today Christian colleges are so corrupt and full of games that you wonder what the difference is. Their whole focus is not different from their non-Christian counterparts; make money. Churches were a source of democracy as you see in Acts 6 and 15. They always debated and voted on doctrines. Today, we do not even debate on any doctrine. If you do not agree with the church position, you are excommunicated.
In addition, nowadays, there is a familyquake in church that seems to break almost half of many Christian marriages. Divorce was not normal then, but today it is normal and even encouraged in churches.  The notion of the family is muddled with modern philosophies. Those who go to church are no more the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Why is depression picking churchgoers apart just as those who do not go to church? Do churchgoers trust each other to confess heir sins to one another without fearing they will be ostracized or judged?
First and foremost, mandatory church attendance has never worked in history. When Theodosius made Christianity the state religion in 380 A.D, the church instead became more corrupt because the heathen came to church with their heathen  behaviors. It is easier for bad communication to corrupt good manners than for good communication to corrupt bad manners because just immediately thereafter, the church underwent through the Dark Ages. It showed that churchgoing per se does not transform people; it is the Word that transforms. Nowadays, people preach their own gospel rather than the gospel of Christ. That is why going to church may not be a great solution.
It is important to note that church attendance has fallen. The Barna Report states, “Millennials (those 30 and under) stand out as least likely to value church attendance; only two in 10 believe it is important.”[2]  While theologians and research groups all argue that the number of young people leaving churches is not as high as 86%, all do accept that the number is pretty high.[3][4][5][6]
Secondly, churchgoing has less influence on people nowadays as it should. Most of the states with the highest number of church attendance are states that top the chart on racism. You should look at the states with the highest church attendance.[7] Now you should also look at the states with the highest rate of racism.[8] [9] We can now ask a simple question. What good is their church attendance then if they go to church that much and still top the chart on most racist states in the country? It explains to you why the young people are leaving church because they want an inclusive environment that loves your neighbor as yourself.  These statistics will tell you that the senator’s solution will be mere rodomontade.  Christianity teaches people to value and respect human life, but racism does not. God requires from humans justice, mercy and humility. Micah told Israel what God wanted from them. Israel was the macrocosm of the human race in that picture. There are many churches suing each other, Christians suing each other, pastors suing each other and so on and so forth. There is a great hatred amongst churchgoers from one denomination with those of another denomination. We talk about homeless or feeding the homeless once a year while we have big churches and homes that are empty. There are many Churchgoers whose relatives are homeless while they live in their homes only with their cats.
Thirdly, the mentality now in most churches is too corrupt that one has to wonder if going to church is a good thing. We go to church to encourage one another (Heb 10:25). I have kept more than 20 people who wanted a place to stay, and almost everyone left as a Christian without anyone forcing them. I realized that the non-Christian girls had a simpler mind as compared to the Christian ones. The non-Christians did not suspect any evil in your action. You treated them both the same. Sometimes I ask myself what we learn in those churches. Let me give you an example. One time I saw a Christian lady with her daughter requesting for a place to live. I proposed mine, and she told me that she was grateful, but she will have to turn it down because she has her daughter with her. Then I decided to offer the opportunity to a non-Christian woman with two daughters who took it and were so happy. Paul said, ‘Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled (Titus 1:15).” We need to renew our minds. That is why the apostles lived as one family the way they lived (Acts 4:31).  A brother and a sister cannot engage in any meaningful conversation because someone is thinking evil. There is a reason Paul encouraged the people to renew their minds (Rom 12: 2).
Notwithstanding, the church is still relevant and needed today. A good church will help you to stand and grow better in the Lord. However, to have a great impact, the church must go back to the gospel and live as the light of the world and the salt of the earth. For now or until churches can turn around, I will support that schools and the country teach moral instructions but leave mandatory going to church because it will form more hypocrites that genuine believers.

Until then, don’t hate me for what I write, treat me well and I will write about your goodness.

America is Bewitched By The Spirits of Cain, Balaam and Korah!

A juju house where they bewitch people.
This lesson is taken from Jude 1:11. It reads, “Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.” I will tell you what it is, and how it is manifesting itself. When someone is bewitched, they act according to the spirit of the spell. It cannot be refuted that the people are bewitched with the way this country is going; they are certainly under a spell. In Genesis 4: 1-17, we are told that Adam and Eve initially had two children: Cain and Abel. Cain killed Abel because he was jealous his brother had found favor with God. Balaam was hired by Balak-a godless king to curse the children of Israel (Numbers 22-23). He did not succeed, so he decided to lead them astray in what will later be known as Balaam Doctrine (Num 31: 16). In Numbers 16:1-4, Korah and his men led a rebellion out of jealousy against the God appointed leaders, Moses and Aaron. They told Moses that God did not only speak to them; he spoke to them too!
Oh, boy, don’t we hear the same thing today with many people claiming that there are many ways to God? Rebellion against anything godly. Cain is a symbol of Familyquake or family breakdown. He is envious and rancorous. John is the one who introduces the symbolism in 1 Jn 3:12. Balaam is a symbol of idolatry and fornication. In other words, materialism and carpe diem.  Korah is a symbol of rebellion. These are the three spirits that bewitch America today and now as I write.
Cain was the first great criminal and first murderer we see. He started with fratricide, and now the world is faced with the rise of filicide, prolicide and uxoricide. For the last 32 years, at least 500 children are killed by their parents in the US each year.[1]  The families are more dysfunctional than before. ¾ of families are broken up with step this and step that. Marriages kaput even after 25 years anniversary. Many kids have no relationship with their parents. No wonder parricide rates are skyrocketing. Children abandon their parents in nursing homes. We live in a time of unparalleled family dysfunction!
The error of Balaam was insatiable greedy desire for wealth. The conclusion is going astray just to gain rewards. They lose their morals for worldly gain and mundane pleasure. They desire the wages of unrighteousness 2 Pet 2:15.  John explains in Rev 2:14 what Balaam’s sin was: idolatry and fornication. That is why even two years old can boast that, “my mommy is a slut!”
A good son is advertising the slut qualities of the mom.

In 2013, US News and World Report wrote that, “More Than 110 Million Americans Have an STD.”[2] On November 4 2014, Huffington Post reported that Americans should fear STDs more than Ebola.[3] The sexual revolution has led to wanton birth defects. STDs cause birth defects like blindness because when the child is being born, he or she picks it up from the mother and their eyes are scared for life. Some of them develop mental and neurological problems. In countries like the US, after birth, the child’s eyes are treated with an antibiotic ointment to prevent them picking up the disease. However, they are not protected from other birth defects like deafness, bone deformities or intellectual disabilities.[4]
People are running counter to God’s will for their personal gains. Licentiousness has taken hold of the human race. Women showcase themselves as sexual objects
56 years old Madonna just being a role model and nothing else

It seems everyone is now reciting, “Let us eat and drink (and have sex) for tomorrow we die.” They ran greedily means to pour out. If you do not understand when a people pours out, you picture Black Friday Sales day. It is synonymous to the Rat Race. Parents are so given to the Rat Race that they barely even see their own kids. The kids themselves have been kidnapped by social media. The spirit of Balaam is alive and well, my friends!
The spirit of Korah is the spirit of rebellion against godly authority. It happened in Numbers 16:1.8//7 Many are revolting against God and ministers of God, children are revolting against their parents, and citizens are rebelling against their leaders. On March 23, 2015, The Daily Beast reported that, “It’s estimated that at least 400 U.S. doctors kill themselves every year. Many are struggling with depression, anxiety, or addiction.”[5] If the doctors could be killing themselves at this rate, what should the patients do? If iron can rust, how much more steel, my people? They have made the society too artificial that if you see some of these people at work and you try to strike a relationship with them, their minds always linger to the wrong motive. Many people are on drugs, but they do not create reliable and meaningful friendships that could redeem them.
Due to the spirit of Balaam, we have reached an age when all restraints are removed. Do not expect to see idolatry in America as people worshipping a molten calf or a man and his family bowing down before other man made gods. Idolatry is now in the form of worshiping human beings- the stars and their achievements. Don’t you watch the Emmys, the Oscars and the Vanity Fairs? See how they glorify the stars and take their words much more than those of God. Don’t you see the rate at which the country is given to materialism? Everyone is now their Svengali or so they think. Everything is now about us. They even ask the question like Pharaoh, “Who is the LORD that I should obey His voice…? I know not the LORD… (Ex5:2)." It would seem their only mantra is now the words of Albert Camus, “Don't walk behind me; I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend.” They neither lead nor do they want to be led.
Erich Fromm once said, “Just as primitive man was helpless before natural forces, modern man is helpless before the social and economic forces created by himself.” Humans now speak as if they were God! Some still believe the old lie of the devil, “You will be like God.” Some have even made God an ant they could trample upon. Their libertinism has led them to gluttony and debauchery. The end results are obesity, drug addiction and every unhealthy situation one can imagine on earth. The more new laws are created, the more loopholes are proliferated. Schadenfreude is like a child everyone is pregnant with. Men of God are even crowned kings in their churches.[6]
Oh, America, where art thy soul? What hope are you leaving for your kids?

Until then, America needs a cleansing!

Should Christians Use Marijuana?”

“My son is having pains and we are told that he could benefit from medical marijuana. Do you think that it is alright?” This is a very controversial topic unlike others. You will have to read the article until the end to find my opinion. I don’t want you to start popping smoke here and there and when they ask you, you say that, "Hamilton told me that I can smoke because it is written in the Bible." I must tell you that I neither smoke nor use any drug, whatsoever. Actually, I have never used drugs (marijuana, cocaine, etc ) in my entire life.
I wonder how I have never answered this question. I will define the word, trace it in the bible and then deal with its morality and legality. Cannabis is defined as, “/can·na·bis/ (kan´ah-bis) the dried flowering tops of hemp plants (Cannabis sativa), which have euphoric principles (tetrahydrocannabinols); classified as a hallucinogen andprepared as bhang, ganja, hashish, and marihuana.”[1] Our next step is to locate the plant in the bible.
Many people have thought that calamus mentioned in Ex 30:23; Can of Cant 4:14 & Ezek 27:19 is the same plant as marijuana. The only problem is that the word calamus in the bible refers to an aromatic reed.[2][3]Packer and Tenney define Calamus as, “A tall reed-like grass with hollow stems. The Hebrew term for this plant (Keneh bosem) means ‘reed of fragrance.’ It is indeed a very sweet-smelling plant (Song of Sol. 4:14).”[4] Elwell and Comfort define calamus as, “ a variety of sweet-smelling cane.” [5] Everyone knows that marijuana is not a sweet-smelling plant, so calamus in the bible would not be the same as marijuana.
However, cannabis is a plant, and the bible reads, “And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat(Gen 1:29).” God authorizes humans to eat plants that bear seeds. Cannabis is a plant that bears seeds. Therefore, cannabis is edible. Why should that raise polemics? If it is a plant, then it is justified to be eaten. Don’t be too excited! There is a little catch. The most popular way people use marijuana is by smoking.
Smoking is not mentioned in the bible, but it qualifies into the definition of sin, “All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death (I Jn 5:17).” As of 2015, lung cancer is the #1 killer amongst all cancers and smoking is the leading cause. [6] Cigarettes have chemicals like dibenspyrene which is known to cause cancer. Tobacco smoke contains more than 70 different substances that can cause cancer, so these chemicals enter into your lungs and body as you inhale the smoke. As a result, they alter important genes which cause them to duplicate or replicate out of control. Some people flatter themselves with filters. Smoking can caused blocked coronaries which prevent blood flow and cause heart attacks. Therefore, since we are jubilating with the libertinism of weed or cannabis, I will like to remind you that smoking per se is a very unhealthy and sinful practice. The rate of smoking will determine how fast the individual dies of cancer too. It does not mean that some people have not been lucky to have smoked without having cancer. It also does not mean that if you do not smoke, smoking may not affect you. You get affected by second hand smoke even much more than you smoke, so you should avoid smoking areas. The bible talks about avoiding things that are unclean. Therefore, using marijuana by smoking is like using fornication to satisfy your sexual desires.. That still leaves us with ingesting or drinking it as tea or vegetables.
While smoking may not be the healthy way to consume marijuana, one could still use it as tea or vegetables for medicinal purposes. Again, one should not be too fast again to start eating and drinking marijuana all day long as veggies and tea. There are still some limitations. John again defines sin as, “... sin is the transgression of the law (I John 3:4).” At this juncture, we are confronted with legality versus morality. You can consult this article for further reading.[7]It will be legally and morally right for you to drink or ingest marijuana as a veggie or as a tea or extracting the oil if your state laws permit.[8]

Therefore, you will have to look at the various limitations caused by the different laws and regulatory bodies like World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the Unites States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). Does your state permit the usage of marijuana? If it does, then you look at the others if you play sports. Otherwise that will not be any excuse if you fail a drug test as a sports star. Let us say that you do not play any sports and your work does not require you to take a drug test, then there is no moral or legal injunction against using the plant. Otherwise, how are we going to deal with the adjurement of the Bible for the creatures of God to use the leaves for medicine and the fruits for food?
If cannabis is an edible plant, then it is covered under the divine and moral permission of the word of God (Ex 30:23, Ezk. 34:29, and Rom 14:2, 3, 13-17). As with every medicine, if used in excess, you will suffer the consequences. I truly believe that if hemp oil is well extracted from the marijuana plant, it could do wonders just as we use many plants in Africa for healing. I have used different herbs to treat different diseases that I don't see the fuss about using marijuana for medicine. If you have abnormal heartbeats you could use watercress plus milk, you could use garlic, ginger and turmeric to control or eliminate your hypertension. There are at least 20 plants that I can give anyone to treat different ailments. That should not be different with marijuana simply because it has THC. If any  Christian intends to use it, they should consult their different laws and regulations.
As a final caveat, I do not use drugs, do not use marijuana in any form whatsoever, but I think for the purpose of education, we cannot play politics with people’s lives. The Bible is not against Christians using marijuana!

Until then, I hope that I answered your question.
