Why Are False Prophets So Successful? The Itchy Ears Syndrome And The Shortgun Technique .

This lesson comes from 2 Tim 4:3-4. “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” I call it the "Itchy Ear Syndrome".  How many people listen to quacks like Dr. Oz? Itchy ear is a condition where the ear itches and always wants you to poke it, so it can feel good. In life, there are many people whose ears like for you to poke them with some feel-good messages. That is why professors who teach well and make students to think are never loved. Those churches that preach feel good messages have many members than the ones teaching the whole truth of the Bible. The honest people don’t have many friends like their lying counterparts. Those with itchy ears will not entertain truth, they will not entertain a contrary view, and they will not entertain a view about reality. All should be about fairytales in fairylands, imaginary things, false claims and untested claims. They think that everything that comes out of their mouths is an opinion, so they always say, "that is my opinion."
Unfortunately, I hate to burst your bubble; it is not everything you say which is tantamount to an opinion. It means that, sometimes you are really just uttering gibberish because it is not everything that comes from your mouth that is equaled to an opinion. Worst still, opinions are not even facts. There are three categories of claims: false claims, untested claims and opinions. A false claim is a statement about the real world which cannot be backed by evidence. An untested claim is a statement that one makes which has not yet been proven. An opinion is an unsubstantiated belief; something you feel is true, but you do not have proofs.  How many times have you heard a pastor say, ‘My wife is the most beautiful woman on earth? ” That is an opinion.  However, when you say that the earth is a square, it is a false claim because we know now that the earth is spherical. Your belief shows that you have itchy ears!
What are the characteristics of itchy ears? You know you suffer from itchy ears syndrome when you are too gullible for fairytales in fairylands, and you promote endless controversial speculations, rather than advance God’s work. Everything people like Dr. Oz, psychics, prophets, preachers, priests and others say, they always mean something to you more than known facts. You know you suffer from itchy ear syndrome when you respect the commands of men than the commands of God, you get mad each time anyone tells you the truth to your face, your heart has become callous that you hardly hear with your ears, you easily believe delusions, and you easily believe a lie, myths and endless genealogies tales. Dark skinned Americans should beware with the quest for DNA in Africa.
Those with itchy ears always become preys to their predators. That is because the predators like the TV evangelists constantly employ the shotgun technique. It is a technique where the predator asks generalized set of questions with the hope that someone will feel touched just as bullets from a shotgun into a pack of monkeys will catch one. The unsophisticated are easily duped because they always carry their problems on their heads. Those who carry their problems on their heads will easily become the prey of evildoers. Another technique that is commonly used is called the Forer or Barnum effect where the predator gives a description that could apply to many people around; although, they are giving it to one person. These generalized statements may be accurate for that individual, but they will mean or affect many more in the audience too. Those with itchy ear syndrome easily tell you that they do not want to hear from you anymore if you will not tell them pleasant things and illusion prophecies. When your quest for ungodliness over shadows godliness, then you already have the disease.
Now, I want to ask you this, “How are your ears?” Simply because you say something neither means that you are right, nor does it mean that it is even an opinion to be taken into consideration. Beware then of thy adulators whose flatteries will only soothe your itchy ears, leading you into the abyss of inutility. Lend your ear to those who sometimes criticize you and expect the best from you. Even if you do not attain perfection; their criticisms push you to improve your character and maximize your production.

Until then, tell me if you are a victim of Itchy ear syndrome.

“Rev please read this. Is it acceptable for a daughter to marry her biological father, or Does the Bible condemn incest?”

“Rev please read this. Is it acceptable for a daughter to marry her biological father, or Does the Bible condemn incest?”
This article is an answer to a question about an 18 year old New Jersey woman who decides to marry her father. She was 4 years old when her father got estranged, and it lasted for 12 years when she turned 16. Her father sought her via Facebook, and she visited him when she was 16. Thenceforth, they fell in love and began to date. Some people think that it is wrong while others argue that there is nothing wrong. Christians are even decided that although it is incest, but it was only prohibited in the Old Testament, under the law, and we are no more under the law. This answer will not touch the physical and biological consequences of incest; the response will only carry the burden of proving that incest was not condemned during the pre-law dispensation, but it was condemned during the law and grace dispensations.
This story reminds me of a 14 year old who told me one time that she had a crush on her uncle that was making her go crazy. She felt like if she did not have coitus with him, she wasn’t going to be ok. I had to show her the consequences for her to reluctantly agree with me. However, this screed is to show the position of the Bible vis a vis incest. We will look at the prelaw dispensation, the law dispensation and the grace dispensation. We will also look the laws of the land.
This question is very tricky. I know that to many it seems like just say no. The reason why it is complicated is because there have been 3 known normal incestuous (kids of Adam and Eve, Abraham and Hagar and Amram and Jochebed) and two known rape incestuous cases (Lot and his daughters and Ammon and Tamar).  The kids of Adam and Eve intermarried (Gen 4). That was incest. Hagar was Abraham’s half-sister (Gen 20:12). Jochebed was Amram’s aunt (Ex 6:20). The daughters of Lot raped him (Gen 19), and Amnon raped his half-sister-Tamar (2 Samuel 13). This is all during the pre-law dispensation which was there to build the community. This dispensation brought salvation by faith. That is by fearing God and doing what is right. This same pre law dispensation is the exact position for the gentiles who did not have the law as mentioned in Romans 2:14-15. At this point, your conscience bears the witness. In this situation, their syneidesis is built by their synderesis. When there is no law, there is no sin (Rom 7:7). That can be exemplified in this way. Before 1664 when there were no miscegenation laws, whites and blacks married. Those who got married did not commit any crime because there was no law.  One can only break a law that exists. That means, at this juncture, incest was not a sin.
Incest became a sin from whence God saw that there were enough people to marry and avoid the complications that go with offspring from relatives. God outlawed it (Lev 18:6-18; 20:17; Deut 27:20-23). Therefore, God prohibited incest and made it sinful. God took the pain to detail out the different relationships. Consequently, the law prohibited incest.
Considering that we do not live under the law, we will look at incest in the New Testament. Jesus said that he did not come to abolish the law and the prophets (Mt 5:17-20). John the Baptist had condemned incest when Herod married Herodias-his brother, Philip’s wife. That condemnation will lead to John’s beheading (Mk 6:17:29). Here we see that the prophets were against incest. Paul too took a position against incest when a young man seized his father’s wife, and Paul rebuked the Corinthians for not disciplining him (I Cor 5:1-5). Someone could only be disciplined for an act of sin and not of righteousness. Jesus and the Pharisees used “fornication” as a more inclusive term for illicit sexual intercourse, including incest (Mt 5:32; 19:9; Jn 8:41). Therefore, the New Testament too condemns incest.
In states where incest is prohibited, marrying your father will automatically be prohibited because it will fall under the definition of sin (I Jn 5:17). New Jersey does not prohibit incest, so if she and her father went there, it is not against the law, but it is still morally wrong. Any act of wrong doing is a sin. Therefore, the 18 year Old’s act is against biblical norms in other states except New Jersey. Connecticut prohibits marriages but not incestuous relationships. Hence, the 18 year old will be living in sin if she married her father because it is incest and incest is prohibited in the Bible.

Until then, it is unacceptable for the daughter to marry the biological father.

Should Arizona Kids Be Obliged To Take The Civics Test Before Graduating From High School?

The State of Arizona through the law they passed yesterday became the first state in the country that requires students to pass a civics tests before graduating from High School. All of a sudden, it would seem hell is breaking lose because of that.  What is the big deal about the test? Don't immigrants who are naturalizing take a citizenship test? Should immigrants know about America more than blood Americans? What is bad in Americans knowing their own history, laws and values?
There is something most Americans do not even know about the Green Card holders through the Diversity Visa Lottery (DV).  Any DV Green Card holder from Africa took an HIV and other tests before they could be given a visa. To become a citizen, they take the Citizenship Test. Could you imagine if they asked every American to take an HIV test as a requirement to enter into another country or stay in the country? It will be a big deal. A mere civics test and we are falling fits. What is this country becoming? You don’t want to know about God, and you don’t want to know even about yourself?
A test does not engage students, but it gives them the information to be engaged. The argument that tests don’t make citizens and citizens are made by their actions is preposterous because that would apply to all the tests that students take in school. The absence of civics as a main requirement is one of the reasons most American students don’t have a clue on what is happening in other states and even in their own very state. They don’t even know what the government is doing.
Tests do not make citizens, but citizens need to know about their country to fulfill properly their good citizenship.  Come and listen to some of them tell you, “This is America, we don’t do it like that!” In most cases, they are speaking out of ignorance. Hurry and take the civics test and be informed, my friends!
This should have nothing to do with party lines. It should be the burden of the entire country. If students were taking the civics tests, they will at least know something about the government and the country. Many Americans know very little about their own country. Take for example, someone was trying to blame Nigeria for putting the consensual age at 13.  She said that Nigerians are a country of pedophiles. I told her that  before 1889, the consensual age in Delaware and California was 7 and 10 respectively. That means, Americans have been the greatest pedophiles in the whole world. “No, it has always been 18!” She retorted. I am talking here of a teacher with a master’s degree teaching English Language. She is even unaware that there are still states with 17 as the Age of Consent.
There are other states like Missouri and New York doing it, but it is not a law per se. Many people say that the kids will not learn anything in it. They should still be taught and obliged to take the test because it is like someone who goes to the stream with a basket to fetch water. Although, they always go and carry water with the basket and it leaks out by the time they reached home, at least the basket gets cleaner. Those kids taking civics will be enlightened more than if they did not even take it at all. It is not every child who will go to college, so it is important at least to teach them some basics about the country they call theirs.
If you do not know what rights you have, how would you defend them, though? How would you fight for them? Knowing your rights will eliminate some of the most frivolous lawsuits in this country. No wonder those who are in the judiciary branch abuse the laws. If you cannot even know about your own country, how would you know about another country? Civics will prepare you to socially integrate the society. Civics should not be an elective; it should be a main course because if someone does not have a clue about their own government make up, he or she would not know when the government is misusing the laws. Therefore, I am 100% for the civics test.
Until then, Americans need to know about their own country first before they can talk about others.

American Churches MUST Fight Against Racism

American Churches MUST Fight Against Racism
You have heard that Sunday is the most discriminated day in America. Most churches in America need a reawakening. I have often said that racism is still having a foothold because the Christians are either passively or actively supporting it. This is both for the blacks and whites, Hispanics and Asians etc. In some mixed areas, you have white churches and black churches. When a white person comes in, the black children of God look at him as a wolf amongst hares. One has to first acknowledge the existence of a problem before they can seek a solution. Unfortunately, some white people even tell you that there is no racism in America. The black people just want entitlement. They will add. When you hear anything like that, leave the individual; they are racist to the core. If anyone tells you that there is no racism in America, you should cut the conversation because they are the actors and enablers. This article is to tell you a few stories and then praise a church according to Genesis 4:7 that marked my spirit last Sunday. We should not only rebuke people; we should also praise them when they do something great.
Firstly, let me state why I have the authority to talk against racism. I have kept more than 20 people in my house, and they have ranged from white to blacks to Hispanics, Christians and non-Christians, lesbians and straight. I have also given rides to people I meet by the road side who need rides without considering their colors. Actually, I have given rides to more white people than blacks. Some black people have sent white people to live with me for free. Nonetheless, I and others have not been treated nicely in most places because of the color of our skin rather than the content of our character.
A few years back, I invited a friend of mine to church. He said to me, “I have known you for years, and I have a huge respect for you. However, I have decided never ever to step my foot into any American church in this country.” He told me that, when he initially came to this country, he went to an all-white church. After some time, the pastor came to him and asked him if he had a family in their midst. Thinking he meant his blood family, he told the pastor that his family was in Africa. The pastor told him that he was sorry that he did not have a family here because “this church is a family church. We pretty much know everyone here.” He grasped him by the shoulder and pulled him up, as he pointed through the door in these words, “there is a church across the street there that will accept you.” My friend went back home and never ever ventured into any church.
One time I went into a church and sat down. The pews in front and behind me were full, but the one I was sitting on had only one person. That was me. The rest of the children of God were merely standing at the back rather than sit with me. I took out my camera and asked a lady to take me a picture. She took only me alone. I told her to retake it and include the two pews. She still surreptitiously left out the two pews, so I explained to her that I wanted to show the world what racism can do to a people. She then made an open appeal with those who were standing to come and sit down in the pew. That didn't flatter me at all because that is tolerance rather than acceptance.
Another time,  my neophyte-preacher-friend and I went to a village in North Dakota. She forewarned me that her people were not going to welcome me well because I will be the first black guy they would be interacting with face to face. I told her that I was curious to see their reaction, but that it was not going to bother me. When we went to her parents’ church, the parents received me well and other seniors, but that was it. We went to another church. That was where I was really shocked. Not a single person greeted me. Even when I went to shake their hands, they will turn around and start talking to someone else, or they will pretend they were fixing something on the wall. A little white girl even came and touched my skin to see if I stained. She said, “Mom, he does not stain.” I am talking here of 2005. The mother apologized to me and pulled her away. I pitied the poor woman, so I tried to crack a joke with her. She walked quickly, dragging her little girl away as if a pest was in their midst. Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!
One time I was driving and saw a sign that said that, " we do no more accept new members," so I took a picture and called the church. I asked them why they were not accepting new members. They explained to me that most of the people trying to join the church are Hispanics, and they only come for the resources. They have drained all their resources, so they are no more accepting new members.
Sometimes you see a job position in a church and apply, but they tell you that the position is filled. That same position will be there for the next 3-5 months, but each time you apply, they will always say that it has been filled, or they will make a fake excuse. You change your resume, use another email, and put a white picture there, they will ask you when you are available for interview. Then other times they will even prefer to give it to a non-Christian simply because he or she is white. In most cases, I always pray rather than make a deal because it will be dragging the name of Christianity and ultimately Christ in mud.
If American pastors were taking the stand on Sundays, this country would have been quite different. Why are were hating each other for nothing? As Christians, we should team up to carry the name of Christ to the extremities of the earth. While the church is discriminating, it is losing membership to Islam and other religions.  You should remember my law of oppression.
Until then, I invite you to visit them any time you are here in Arizona.

Why Are Black Women Running To Europe For Dating?

There are many white men here in the US to go around for any black woman who wants one.
Why Are Black Women Running To Europe For Dating?
I heard that many black women are now rushing with their bags to Europe to date. Many women say that it is because they are black; that is not the issue. The black woman has not been abandoned; she has abandoned herself. Flying to Europe, Latin America, Australia or even heaven and hell, you may still come back empty if you do not change the way you approach life. Men can travel just to go get sex and plenty of it could be found in the Red Districts in Europe. However, the women are more into deep relationship because they can get laid anytime anywhere they want. All they need to do is go on craigslist and ask to be laid. They will have their laps full.  The notion that people are going to Europe to date white men portrays how erroneous people still think that only white people live in Europe. The issue is not that there are not enough black men or enough men for the black women. It is not a stereotype because I worked with some black guys, and almost all of them were either dating or fooling around with a white woman. There are certain things that most women in general must arrange. You see, the woman needs the emotional state, the man merely wants sex. That is why a man feels very satisfied after ejaculation while the woman needs to linger around and be touched and caressed even after the ejaculation.
Love neither knows any color nor status. Our upbringing has limited our love lives because some people were made to believe that other colors are not good for them. Others think that they bear the responsibility of preserving the race. I wonder which race they are talking about, since all human beings come from the same race. Black women should not only think that they must only date black men. The same goes for white women.  You should pursue the source of your happiness. One way to even reduce racism is through interracial marriages. The truth is that hatred will never disappear from this earth because we were born with a sinful nature. We have seen black people hate each other just as we have seen white people hate each other.  Dating out of one’s color is even advisable because both are very conscious of cultural differences that they spend time trying to please each other. It explains why mixed marriages are getting more and more successful and happier than monocultural marriages.
Just going to Europe may not solve your problem. You may go there and the relationship gets sour. I read of a woman who was too fat and wanted to go to the Bahamas where she heard that the men love big women. There are many things to consider, especially for those who are not open enough to try different things. If you are moving abroad, you should be ready to adapt to different foods, customs and traditions.
The issue is how you hear women nowadays talking about I don’t want to feed a man. The women must realize that the tables have turned. Women are the primary bread winners nowadays, so they should assume that responsibility. When men were, they were the ones feeding the women. The attitude in which the black woman disses the man she does not want is just too horrible. The white women will even sometimes give the number, even if they do not call or answer back.
Simply because you are a Christian does not mean that everyone you interact with must be a Christian. Perhaps by going closer, the person may see the good in your Christianity. Nowadays, Christianity and religion are mere lip service.
I usually don’t see any reason why black women are sometimes threatened by white women when they see the white woman with a black man. No one would take that which is destined for you. This world is too big to provide to everyone according to their tastes. Therefore, we must cease the hatred. Actually, such behaviors even explain why a woman like that should not be dated because she is full of drama. There is a difference between being competitive and being outright histrionic.
The women should ask men out because times have changed. Unlike before, the men were the ones culturally permitted to do so. Nowadays, things are different. Love knows no status and no age, so women should refrain from trying to look for readymade men. I have said this before in one of my articles that American women are treated better by foreign men than by their own men. That has nothing to do with color. Unfortunately, most of them are still blinded by their bias that they only want to date someone of their culture. I remember when I asked a lady for a date. She invited me to a casino and across the table, she asked me if I had green card and a driver license. I asked her to start showing me her own Id and passport, and she got offended by that. That is extreme foolishness to equate every foreign man to an illegal immigrant who wants to use you for papers. The papers of some of these women are not even good enough  because they are not crime free. .
American women have to travel and see the world but not for dating because they have enough men here in this country. Being black and living only in America has left them very myopic. Women should create a first impression that is attractive to others who do not know them. I know an African American girl married to an African guy, and they have been very happy. The reason being that she learned even to cook African food. If you want to date outside, you should be willing to adapt. That is the only way you will be happy in that marriage.
American women should build work place relationships and leave the internet alone. There are many women at work who do not talk to coworkers, but they spend hours on the net trying to get a husband. It is not that black women are not attractive; that is far from the truth. It has many contours to it.
Black women should not be threaten to hear white women or biracial women talk about dating because they still open up opportunities. It is surprising how even educated black women exclude biracial women as being black. The denial about the behavior of especially most black women in public should be taken into consideration. I saw a black woman button her pastor boyfriend right in front of the church. The white woman will wait for you at home with a golf club. Tiger Woods is a witness! That is better, at least it still keeps your dignity. Love should know no boundary; continent, status or color. If status sealed marriages, Hollywood will be the most matrimonially stabled placed.
The school, work place, family reunions, job fairs, and churches are the most ideal places to find a good mate. Like I say again, women too should ask a man they like out.
A man or woman should love you for who you are. It is sad how many women are doing plastic surgery and skin bleaching to look like certain types for men to like them. What if the man liked you and then later wanted you to change something else? How long would you be changing things? Beauty (physical attraction) and character should be the key in selecting a mate or friend. Women should know that there is nothing like soul mates. When I told my black friend that their women were running all to Europe, he said to me, "I wish them good luck." “I am, speaking for all the here.” He emphasized!

Until then, I wish you all well.

“Can I still hate my neighbor and Still Love God? My neighbors are like roaches; they are nauseating!”

"Relatives found the body of Sunatha Simmons, 63, in her garage at this Illinois home. She had been dead for more than a year, the coroner said."

No, you cannot, but there is a caveat from Paul, “If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men (Rom 12:18).” If you look well, some of these neighbors have been going (to Africa, Asia, Central America, Australia and other places) to share the gospel they cannot even give to their own neighbor. How do you have a neighbor, she dies and you only find out one year later? Americans have to revamp their notion of Christianity because it does not fit that of the Bible. Ask how many visit their neighbors. Now ask how many talk about being good Christians. It baffles me how people say that they do not like people they see, but they like God. This runs at variance with John’s question, “If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen (I Jn 4:20)?” If you do not love your neighbor as yourself, then your religion and Christianity are vain because the neighbor is a manifestation of the invisible God.  Many neglect even the basic of true religion which is to cater for the orphans and widows. It reads, “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world (James 1:27).”
Permit that I lay the background. The economy strived on subsistence agriculture. The orphans had lost their father and the widows had lost the husbands. Both the former and latter were the only bread winners in the family, so their death meant a total destitution of the family. Therefore, the widow and orphan became the burden of the community to bear as a token of their true religion. Nowadays, the destitution and responsibility fall on every destitute neighbor of our community. How then do we say that we are true worshippers when we don’t even visit our neighbors; we don’t even visit our own family members? Many don’t even know their own families? Why are then so many dotards abandoned in the nursing homes? Take the example of this gentleman who killed his wife and two kids. It is written, “He adds that his brother never told him about his finances but he had heard the family was dealing with bankruptcy.” If you were close to your relative, you will know they are going through bankruptcy, but we live a very artificial life and are building a very artificial society that people don’t build real relationships with people. No wonder many are falling back on coping mechanisms and bizarre behaviors as bestiality.
Literally, the word neighbor means someone you share a living boundary (Prov 3:29; 27:10; Eccl 4:4; 2 Chr 6:22; Job 12:4; Josh 9:16; Ruth 4;17; 2 Kings 4:3; Jn 9:6 ), and figuratively, it means the closest person to you at a given time (The parable of the Good Samaritan; Lk 10: 27-37).  Loving God and loving your neighbor is more than any sacrifice you will ever give to God (Mk 12:33; Rom 13:9; gal 5:14; James 2:8). You should remember this, “And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams (I Sam 15:22).”
How does anyone leave his/her country to another country for evangelism when they don't even know their neighbor well? Shouldn't charity always starts at home? Here is a man killed by his neighbor who sleepwalked to his fence. If I saw my neighbor trying to climb over my fence, I am not sure the first thing is to shoot him. What a failed society! When the Children of Israel were vacating Egypt, the closet person they were to borrow from were their neighbors (Ex 3:22; 11:2; 12:4). You will soon understand what that meant with the advent of Jesus in the Great Commandment (Lk 10:27) which he cited from Lev 19:18. One of the commandments was, “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor (Ex 20:16; Deut 5:20).”  God gave Ten Commandments, and they are divided into 2 groups. Group 1 consists of the first 5 commandments and group 2 deals with the last 5. The first group deals with man’s relationship with God, and the second group deals with man’s relationship with man. In other words, God requires a vertical relationship between humanity and God as well as a horizontal relationship between humanity and others. False witness against a neighbor was considered as actual murder (I king s 21:13; Lev 19:16) because you know him or her well, but you decide to kill his character or property. When you killed someone’s character, it was like killing them because character is the most important possession that any human may have. By assumption, God considers that everyone should be able to know their neighbor well. If we knew our neighbors well, there is no way a neighbor will die in her house and the police and firefighters only find that out a year later.
The Bible does not negate the use of self-defense; however, it emphasizes on craftily, vengefully and arrogantly taking away your neighbor’s life (Ex 21:14; Deut 19:11; 27:24). If you were lacking space for storage, your neighbor was the closest person you contacted. You were required to speak truth to your neighbor (Ps 12:2; Prov 29:5; Zech 8:16; Eph 4:25). God expected neighbors to live in peace (Lev 25:14). How can you live in peace if you do not understand each other? If you knew your neighbor well, the first thing you will do is not to shoot him because you saw him in the night trying to climb over your fence.  It was usually a great evil for a neighbor to sleep with a man’s wife (2 Sam 12:11), and adultery is still a cruel thing today. Not treating your neighbor well is a sign of foolishness (Prov 11:19). Listen to these neighbors speak and it will show you how empty we have become as a society.

There were and still are serious consequences for not treating the neighbor right. They include, being cut off the kingdom of God (Ps 15:3; 101:5; Jer 12:14). If you have a problem with your neighbor, talk it out and let it die between you (25:9; Hab 2:15). When people begin to act badly against their neighbors, it guaranteed an ill omen (Is 3:5; 19:2; Jer 9:5, 8; Zech 8:10). It showed that they had strayed away from God. On the contrary, when the people walked with God, they treated their neighbors well (Is 41:6). Therefore, no one can claim that they are walking with God when they are treating their neighbors badly. You should always keep in mind the definition of the word neighbor. To please your neighbor is for your own good (Rom 15:2) because if your neighbor cannot sleep because of what you are doing to him/her, you will not sleep for fear of what he/she will do unto you ( See the law of Oppression ). Anyone talking lies to their neighbor is not worshipping God (Ps 28:3), so share joy with your neighbors (Lk 15:6, 9).

Book Review: The New African Diaspora: Anatomy of the Rise of Cameroon’s Bushfallers

I was looking for a book to read for the two weeks holidays, and I got one: "The New African Diaspora: Anatomy of the Rise of the Cameroon’s Bushfallers" is a 100 page contemporary book written by Emmanuel Konde and published by Xlibris in the US, in 2014. The method of his research is very simple; it is based on “juxtaposition of empirical observations of the author in Cameroon and the United States, first hand narratives of Bushfallers, conversations with friends and compilations of opinions from internet sources.” The author uses a simple strategy to make his exposition. He defined the term Bushfaller, traced its origins, showed its evolution, contrasted the term with other migratory phenomena like feymanism and les coupeurs de routes (highway armed bandits), and finally, he prescribed a task for the Bushfallers. He reemphasized the contradictions and controversies that have divided the politics of the North West from that of the South West, the West Cameroons from East Cameroon , the youths from the old and the differences between feymen and Bushfallers. Konde defines feymen as, “vagabonds, thieving, and dishonest counterpart conmen.” (Page 38)
This book will serve as driving lenses to the young and old desiring to unshackle themselves from the manacles of colonialism and the poor governance from the Biya regime. In it you will understand the importance of the Bushfallers to their families, Cameroon and themselves. Notwithstanding, I will provide you a foretaste.
Konde traces the advent of bushfallerism from the Operation Ghost Town. Parallelingly growing up was feymania that sprung simultaneously with bushfallerism. There were earlier Cameroonians who had migrated abroad. Most of them forgot their roots, but the Bushfallers never do. They are aged between 23-43 years old. This will fit the time span of Operation Ghost Town that had “ill-defined goals that was patched by politically unschooled demagogues” like John Fru Ndi who gave young unemployed Cameroonians false hope.
The discontent started when Foncha and Muna in their quest for selfish power sold the aspirations of their West Cameroon compatriots to Ahidjo’s portage. Konde sees the beginning of this phenomenon from there. He says, “A large number of Bushfallers were thus born at the tail end of the Federal Republic and the beginning of the United Republic…” (Page 27). Thus, hardship had scared the psyche of the emergent Bushfallers
It is important to see in the footnotes how Konde emphasizes the dichotomy between slavery and Bushfallerrism which he termed involuntary and voluntary migration. He says that the African and Cameroonian forebears did not go to Arabian, European and American lands because they wanted, but the Bushfallers go to those places out of choice. Even though they go out grudgingly and forced by circumstances, they still go there on their own volition. They go there to escape the doldrums of poverty that has bedeviled them as kids. Who then is a Bushfaller?  Konde defines it thus, “‘Bushfaller’ is the Cameroonian term for the young unemployed and unemployables, including dissatisfied professionals, who leave their country in search of greener pastures in the industrialized East and West.” (Page 10).  The Bushfallers were now competing with the coastal dwellers who “were civil servants, administrators or unskilled laborers in the plantations.” (Page 11). The Bushfallers syndrome has affected every young Cameroonian, born and unborn. According to the author, the Bushfallers have contributed to the economy more than the non Bushfallers; nonetheless, he emphasized that the Bushfallers are not more important than the homeboys.
Konde recounts narratives of Cameroonians who live like rats, I mean; some even like roaches in China, Germany, Holland, Britain, Australia and other countries just to earn a living, which in some cases still eludes them. Those in Europe date their grandmothers just for the papers because the young girls are too expensive. I saw that myself when I went to Europe. Thank God for Red District which becomes an appeasement center for the sexually starved bushfallers. America needs them here to save the American Bushfallers from sexual starvation. The author uses the eye of the eagle to analyze and point out the incongruities in the life of the Bushfallers. Some are like people swimming in a river but soap is entering into their eyes; while, others are simply reenacting the Tantalus fate.
Konde entertains very high hopes for Cameroon's Bushfallers, who he refers to as a new breed and depicts as "smart, determined, daring, calculating, enterprising, at once assertive and aggressive, and seemingly unstoppable" (10).  He hopes that this breed will eventually turn to politics in their homeland and there wrought the much needed social transformations. The author again reveals that the Bushfaller has external forces pushing him/her to go back and regain the father land. The need to rebuild the father land, the social injustices of racism and prejudice suffered in their oversea farms and the need to continue the struggle their elders began. Would the Bushfallers answer present when the role is called up yonder, or would the Bushfallers disappear in oblivion as the feymen and feywomen whose demise is usually swift and violent? If you don’t have a copy, I urge you to buy one and read for yourself.

Until then, I love this book because it is eyeopening.
