“Can Someone Be A Christian And A Homosexual?”

Bishop Gene Robinson on his wedding day with his now divorced partner: Mark Andrews.
Finally, I have found time to answer this question, albeit, it is better late than never. Perhaps the question should read, “Can one be a sinner and a Christian?” By homosexual here we mean both lesbians and gays. I will use strictly the Bible to answer this question. If you do not like my answer, write yours, and I will post it on this very blog. The first thing is to define both words and then examine their operations in the Bible.
Homosexuality is like a hobby. You decide to learn it. In this case, you use your body in the unnatural way possible. While the word Christians (standing for little christs or people mimicking Christ) exists in the Bible, homosexuality on the other hand does not. Nonetheless, the Bible mentions same sex rape and same sex coitus as serious violations. People always ask me, “If the Bible does not mention homosexuality, how then do you know that it is talking about it?”
There are different ways to use words and project meaning, and one of them is euphemism. The expression, “that we may know them” in Genesis 19:5 is euphemistic usage for having sex. Remember, the men only were the ones who wanted to have sex with Lot’s male visitors.  Jude (verse 7) on the other hand uses another expression, “strange flesh” which is euphemistic usage for another man. In other words, having a strange desire of going after other men. That indeed is very strange! Don’t you think so?
In the OT, the Bible openly condemns same gender sex; that is, a man having sex with a man and that will indirectly apply to a woman having sex with another woman too. The Bible calls it abomination (Lev 18:22; 20:13). The word abomination will simply mean a violation of customs and traditions of righteous living set by God. The direct consequence of committing an abomination is the judgment or wrath of God. I want you to take note that it was under Judaism. If we are to abide by the OT and Judaism, then Christ died in vain. However, not so fast; you should hold your fire!Furthermore, in the NT, it is Paul who mentions same sex marriage which will correspond to what we call today, homosexuality in the following passages (Rom. 1:26-27; I Cor. 6-9-10; I Tim. 1; 9-10).
Jesus modified Judaism into Christianity by pointing to himself as the Messiah, the Jews were waiting. He then introduced the new covenant whereby he involved the Gentiles into the salvific plan of God.
carved a path of salvation through Himself by his death on the cross and his blood as the ablution solution.
Therefore, while it is possible for a homosexual to be a Christian, it will be no different from someone who is a Christian, but he or she is living in concubinage. It is like those who say that they are Christians, but they are scamming people or they are racist. To be a Christian, you only have to believe in Him and pledge to mimic Him. It is not everyone everyone who claims that they are Christians will go to heaven. The ultimate reason and place those who believe want to be. ad student. They are Christians, but they are bad Christians, “who hath trodden underfoot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?” They are no different from those who practice concubinage or those who are racists although wearing the cloak of Christianity. When the Judgment of God shall start in the house of God, they will be the goats that will be separated from the sheep and will be those to whom the Lord will say, “I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
Notwithstanding, while still waiting for our parousia, it is the responsibility of Christians to show love, by warning the wicked and the righteous to turn away from wickedness.

Until then, I hope that I have answered your question.
