Where Is Your Destiny?

In whose hand is your destiny? Let me ask you this: who determines who you become? Humanists will tell you, you have your life in your hands, but I tell you today; God has the whole world in his hands including your life. Listen to this anecdote.

A young woman worked for a company some years back. She worked with a boss who found pleasure sleeping with all the female workers under him. He employed only beautiful girls that he could later fool around with. Little did he know Nsosie would be different. He hired her and started his advances, but she turned him down. The more she turned him down the more he gave her hell. Finally, with all the intrigues the young woman was fired. The young woman tried to sue but failed with the collusion of other workers and her boss. She wept and cried before God. On their way back from a business trip their car veered off the road, and they all died. They did not live to enjoy the fruits of their intrigues. Such is a warning to those who plot against others.

You who think the destiny of the weak belongs to you beware. To the weak who thinks his/her destiny belongs to the strong beware. God holds the whole world in his hands. A neighbor was recommending a lawyer to me. I asked him how he knew the guy then he told me this story. He was Jewish and he was African. Both were on a line to make their purchases when the white guy fell in front of him. Others were merely dialing their phones for 911, others were even unconcerned, but he rushed to the guy and placed him on his back, and administered CPR; a thing he had only seen on TV. There were serious risks, because if the man had died he could have been charged, but he took the risk, and revived the guy back to life before the ambulance could come. When the lawyer fully recovered he got in contact with Ali. He later represented him in many cases for free.

If you are a human being know that you do not hold the life of anyone; not even yours. God holds all our lives. Yes, say I am an ant but no elephant can smash me, and I am an elephant but no hunter can shoot me down. Stop fretting when the wicked prosper. God will always defeat the devil and our enemies. Some of them pick up heart attacks and others are clawed by kidney disease. I lack the time for personal tales.

In 1988 in Douala was a brother in Christ who rented a house from a Duala man. The brother had paid them but because they wanted more money they connived for their son to come and ask for rents again. The man complained that he had already paid their father but they took his things and threw them out. The church prayed over it and told him that he should move out of the house. Neighbors said that is what that family did to rip people off. That brother moved out and rented another house. We could not help because we were a very small church but God took control of the situation. An evangelist visited our church and rather than take offerings he gave money to the family. Weeks later the former landlord’s youngest son fell in a well and died. The senior son died in an accident and the third was going to France and got lost in the sea hitherto.

Didn’t God tell you “Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm”? Anyone with the seal of the Holy Spirit should know that “for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye”. Your destiny is in no man’s hand my dear. Are your problems making you to be confused if God exists? Be no more for He does! Stretch forth your staff and ask whatever red sea in your life to part and give you an escape route.

Until then, your destiny is in the hands of God.
