Would God Kill A Man Who Dumped A Woman?

Souzie was a 41 year old from Belfast Northern Ireland who met a young Nigerian from a Christian website sometime in March of 2004. Daniel said he was a Christian, but it would seem he was more a crook and scammer. From the beginning, they dated with no sex but later got involved sexually. He began cheating on her while preparing to marry her. When she discovered it, she was “Not able to recover from the shock, the anger of betrayal and the fear of disease, when I put down the phone I cursed him, out loud saying that he would not live to reach 40 years old”. Two weeks later, Daniel passed away. Souzie came to the Christian forum to testify how she is a child of God and how God has delivered her from a bad person by hearing her prayer and killing him.

The thought and fear that our sister cursed Daniel to his grave for cheating on her does not hold water with me. Who amongst us here will say they have never sinned? Why would God kill only another person and not you? Make no mistake; I am not making a commercial for sin or premarital sex. Yet why would grace be abundant only on you and not on the other person saved by the same Lord and Savior?

Firstly, if God was to kill anyone he will kill both. Does cheating against a boyfriend/girlfriend or fiancée/fiancé worst than cheating against God? She had betrayed God by having sex with him too before marriage. Then it will not be sanctimoniously different from the Pharisees who said “And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty” (MT. 23:18). Let’s read it this way whosoever cheats against God is nothing but whosoever cheats against the partner that God has given is guilty. How does that sound? Melodramatic! Right?

Which is the greatest: altar or gift? Who is the Greatest: God or fiancée? So why would God be more serious about killing someone for cheating on another human and would not do anything for someone cheating on Him. God says no sex before marriage. She had sex with the guy many times and I am sure not once not twice. On this basis, she was herself under the wrath of God. Now thanks be to Jesus who imputes his righteousness on us to give us time to withdraw from our evil ways.

The second reason why the young lady is not the one who cursed the gentleman to his grave is because as she says it, the young man is a Christian therefore child of God (Jn 1:12). Moreover, folks no man can curse he that God has blessed or defiled him whom God has not defiled (Num 23:8-9). More so, when we believe the possibility of us being cursed has been nullified because he took our curse then know that we are above human condemnation (Rom 8:1; Gal 3:13). When God has not picked our number, no man can pick it. But if God picks it no human will reverse it.

Therefore, my brethren, the child of God dies only when God wants them to die. Falling in sin does not mean you are no more a child of God. Even if Daniel was cheating on her it would not prompt God to kill him because it would be like it is Ok to commit fornication but not Ok to cheat on a partner. It is an opening for the devil to oppress you but it shall not lead unto death (Job 1:12; II Cor. 12:7-9).

The late man would have died from a heart attack, which is due to the shock that they discovered his bad ways and the Bible says your sins will find you out (32:23).
Finally my brethren, it is unchristian to rejoice when evil befalls our friends or even enemies (Mt 5:44). God requires us to bless only and not to curse (Rom 12:14). I can’t count how many times people who disagree with me have wished me evil or cursed me. If God was honoring those empty talks of theirs, I would have had my six feet lot ere long. You can hate me or love me but no mortal, born normally or by cesarean and no object visible or invisible can decree the contrary because I am in Jesus who is in God.

Premarital sex is bad. Perhaps even worst than any other sin because we sin against the body (I Cor 6:18) and if God will kill people for sinning he will not only kill those who sin against us but those who sin against him for him alone is perfect. Consequently, watch out as you sleep around in the name of "love". Each time sex is involve breaking away always causes a lot of hurt. If you can till you marry avoid premarital sex for it will save your life. Just engage short, get married and get off that block so you can start to have al the sex you want.

Until then, God does not kill people to favor us.
